You can always braid the little girls hair every two weeks in protective styles, giving your hands a break so you are not having to do it every week. Cover their hair at night with a scarf and bonnet to ensure the hair style lasts longer. As far as moving, I had a few cities in mind, I would take a trip to visit, see how I felt about the city initially....listened to my gut to see if it felt right and then I would move forward with my research and see what boxes (as far as needs/wants) would be checked off. I have moved from Boston to Florida to Pittsburgh, to Philly, to Brooklyn, and now I live in the DMV area (District of Columbia-Maryland-Virginia).
These children are beautiful each one of them has a fantastic personality Emmett is a doll you're going to have to watch the girls. Mom did a darn good job on their hair. Watching the two of you dad doing the washing and getting the hair ready and then mom the braids wore me out I'm going to have to take a nap kudos to you guys beautiful family

We moved to Idaho from Victorville California! Best choice ever! I was born and raised in the hi desert 🏜️ I worked at that local olive 🫒 garden 🍷 🏡 but couldn't take the increase in crimes out there! Needed a change of pace and view! Miss certain things from California, but.... It's worth it!

I miss Iowa. I've been all over. Things to consider is climate. I've been in west Texas and it's super dry. I had nose bleeds and horrible dry skin. I liked kentucky a lot but I was super out like right by a lake and no one was nice there. In Iowa I felt great. Nice schools, no gangs, also here Texas us flooded with all that. I've been to Cali but it's too busy. Right now we're in Elgin, Texas, close to Austin, the school is great, people are friendly, city is nice, not super small or big. Just everyone sucks at driving. I'm scared of the tornados here though 😆 I was taking a nap and one ripped the neighbors house off. We had no idea till we wanted to go for snacks. But yeah check climate. Schools. Just people around

In 2016, I moved back to Ohio from New York State. I lived in NY State for 20 years. Once I was in Ohio I felt at home. I didn't feel at home in NY state after my mother and late husband passed away. It has been a rough go at starting fresh but we did it. Good luck with your search and move. I love your videos. Your family is so sweet.
My husband was in the Military 20 years so we moved every two years. I loved it all except how cold the Upper Pennensula of Michigan was. Then when he retired I really didn't want to move back to my home but he loved my really big family so as usual he got his way. When after 10 years he got itchy feet again I had to say no. My roots had dug deep again. So move while your young but come home often and consider moving back home when your girls are in middle school or after everyone graduates. Moms will be old and will need your help.

I'm originally from Ohio and would've never thought in a million years that I'd end up in Texas. My husband is military so we found our way to Houston, a very non-traditional military location (a lot of Houstonians I know don't even know that there's a military base here). But it was by far the best move for our family. I'm extremely happy here and proud to call Houston my home. You would love it here.... and there's tons of folks moving here from Cali. Please come and visit. I guarantee you'll feel right at home as soon as you step off the plane.

I absolutely loved San Diego. I can't afford it. My family is from St. Louis and I remember summers there being scary hot! I'm in Lincoln, Ne for now. Nice, small city. Not a crazy amount of crime. Family friendly.

Yes! In Texas the housing situations are really crazy and we're going through literally the exact same thing and it's really just sad how many people are going through this but don't have any place to stay while trying to build up their credit score.
I'm a life long resident of Washington, DC. I've traveled a lot in the Air Force and I enjoyed conus and oconus travel. However, I can't leave DC. I love my city too much and plus most of my family live with DMV area.

Slow down, take your time, go on vacation to the various states you’re interested in & then start your search after you have a good feeling about the state. I absolutely loved San Diego. I can't afford it. My family is from St. Louis and I remember summers there being scary hot! I'm in Lincoln, Ne for now. Nice, small city. Not a crazy amount of crime. Family friendly.

Yes! In Texas the housing situations are really crazy and we're going through literally the exact same thing and it's really just sad how many people are going through this but don't have any place to stay while trying to build up their credit score.
I'm a life long resident of Washington, DC. I've traveled a lot in the Air Force and I enjoyed conus and oconus travel. However, I can't leave DC. I love my city too much and plus most of my family live with DMV area.

Slow down, take your time, go on vacation to the various states you’re interested in & then start your search after you have a good feeling about the state.
