As a Hindu Bengali (India) I can feel the future of Bangladeshi Hindu population. From 22% in 1950 to 7% in 2022. In same rate it will be zero or less than one percent nearly in 2038. Many of them are eagerly waiting for establishments of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in India. This one time vandalism of Comilla is not the actual crisis for them. They often get abused for idolatry and regularly get Dawat (invitation for conversion in Islam). That is the real pressure for them.
It’s not as black & white. India was richer economic migration happens especially to countries where family & friends, language. When it was e.Pakistan & in the 70’s civil strife many left. Bengalis are beautiful people.

Thank God such an issue does not happen in Indonesia. The minority Hindu and Buddhist community in the Muslim-majority provinces of Yogyakarta and Central Java can celebrate their festivals vibrantly and organise ceremonies peacefully. Prambanan and Borobudur Temples are well-preserved and even become the pride, the symbol of the nation.
Just the other day, I saw a video on the rise of radical Islam in Indonesia. The next five years of Indonesia are of concern. We have to see how the Indonesian government acts upon it.

I am a “south indian” muslim , and i enjoy the freedom the constitution has given me. No one questions my faith , no one come and inspect my kitchen to what i eat( unlike in northern parts). Thanks to our Hindu ancestors for their tolerance. I believe and pray muslims in bangladesh will treat non-muslims equally as brothers and wont harm them, at any cost. In both countries , there is a faction ( from all religions , political parties ) who feed on hatred towards others. I am a Bengali with East Bengal ancestry. Perhaps the story of my people is one of the most tragic in the history of India and its civilisation. Not because of how we perished from our land, but because how all of it was forgotten. To grow up and to know that the land that you'd associate your culture to is gone forever, is really painful and more so is to know about the people who suffered there. But no one remembers all of that. Not even Bengalis. And its time and again proven that the people who do not remember their history and take lessons from their past are bound to be doomed. A documentary about how India and other parts of Asia got a muslim population would be extremely helpful to educate the ignorant populace about this "religion". I can tell in advance that the arrival of islam in Asia was not peaceful as any person with a functional brain can imagine, it was a horror story. As an European, I can only wonder if those muslims know about the history of their beloved "religion". Like many Westerners who gave up christianity due to it's violent past, I could never imagine myself associated to a religion or any organization with such violent past.
Muslim's entry into Asia was similar to Christianity's entry into the Americas, and that meants lots of bloodshed. This is why China will take a hardline policy against extremists, be them Uighurs or Hans. But of course, the dumb West always scream "human rights" when it comes to China.

As a Hindu Bengali (India) I can feel the future of Bangladeshi Hindu population. From 22% in 1950 to 7% in 2022. In same rate it will be zero or less than one percent nearly in 2038. Many of them are eagerly waiting for establishments of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in India. This one time vandalism of Comilla is not the actual crisis for them. They often get abused for idolatry and regularly get Dawat (invitation for conversion in Islam). That is the real pressure for them.
It’s not as black & white. India was richer economic migration happens especially to countries where family & friends, language. When it was e.Pakistan & in the 70’s civil strife many left. Bengalis are beautiful people.

Thank God such an issue does not happen in Indonesia. The minority Hindu and Buddhist community in the Muslim-majority provinces of Yogyakarta and Central Java can celebrate their festivals vibrantly and organise ceremonies peacefully. Prambanan and Borobudur Temples are well-preserved and even become the pride, the symbol of the nation.

A documentary about how India and other parts of Asia got a muslim population would be extremely helpful to educate the ignorant populace about this "religion". I can tell in advance that the arrival of islam in Asia was not peaceful as any person with a functional brain can imagine, it was a horror story. As an European, I can only wonder if those muslims know about the history of their beloved "religion". Like many Westerners who gave up christianity due to it's violent past, I could never imagine myself associated to a religion or any organization with such violent past.
