Perhaps Jon Favreau got Robert Rodriguez in place of James Mangold?! Many months ago rumors went out that both Robert Rodriguez and James Mangold were on set and/or chatting with Jon Favreau on the Mandalorian. Perhaps Mangold stepped down due to Ford v Ferrari and writing new Indiana Jones. James was also supposed to direct Boba Fett in his own film. Would have been fitting. Perhaps in S3, or S4, we can get a James Mangold directed Mandalorian episode
Yes yes yes!! As I was reacting to the episode my first thought was that Tem used the gaffe stick as a Taiaha. I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that picked up on that. As a kiwi myself and of Maori descent, I did get misty eyed on rewatching and thinking about it. I'm so proud of uncle Tem. Also that doctor character is Dr. Ropata on Shortland Street. I was just a young teen when I was obsessed with that soap haha! "You're not in Guatemala now Dr, Ropata!"
Man.. I'm just a boring pakeha. and to watch Tem in action was just glorious. watching Tem fix those stormtroopers with a pukana and absolutely devastate them. just fantastic!
Right there with you man. I live in central Texas and the irony is all three of these gentleman would feel right at home here because a large percentage of the population is either of Mexican or Czech heritage.
Also from Texas, I always find it so funny when people imitate a Texas accent! I’m all for more Texas Hector 😂. PS Houston really does have all the seasons...but all in one day
El Mariachi, Despardo, From Dusk Till Dawn, Sin City. List goes on and on how good Robert Rodriguez is. Too funny with Texas tangent. Makes me want a Bob Fett show even more now. Glad I wasn't spoiled.
As some have mentioned here, Tython might have been first mentioned and visited in the "new canon" (most of the Extended Universe was never truly canon despite what some fans might want to believe) in Dr Aphra's comics, but it was created, mentioned and visited long before that in what is now Legends material and it was one of the most relevant planets in the galaxy when it came to Jedi history for it was there that the Jedi order came to be. It was first mentioned in the Darth Bane trilogy (probably my favorite EU work from the handful I've read) and then became a recurrent location, specially for the game SWTOR.
Apparently, there was an ep of _The Chef Show_ , where Robert Rodriguez and Jon Favreau make pizza, and talk about their thoughts on directing. Some of which can be seen utilized in this ep.
@@micomator why are you pressed😂 they can take all the time they want to upload it I’m just saying it was an amazing ep and they always have the best reactions
@@gavenpurnell2416 I know, we are all fans here. But haven't you hard them mention in MANY videos that they get tons of these comments "When will you upload X" and that they don't like them? We all know they are working on it. All you are doing is adding pressure. Your crying emoji is telling them that you are upset. It's not constructive.
Tython had a BIG part in the Old Republic games both RPG and MMORG, hence why it was brought into cannon - funny you should mentioned video-gamey ... LOL ,,, Got a kick out of the Yoga pose on Grogu (baby yoda) ... Isn't Cobb Vant from texas ... ? Just saying ... The beacon could cause a disturbance in the force calling any force sensitive user. And I think Grogu may become the opposite of Yoda..hmmm... we'll see. Do YOU think that Temura Morrison will also be in the Ahsoka series as REX?
Gotta give Adam props for his attempts at Māori pronunciation. Just a little tip for saying Temuera - you gotta sort of pronounce the U and E in the middle separately. So it's more Temu - era. Loved watching you guys learn about the indigenous culture of my home :)
I did feel the Maori influence when Boba first took out the troopers with the gaffe stick. Now we gotta bring Jason Mamoa into the Star Wars universe. Also I can't express enough the music Ludwig made for Boba, very primal and yet traditional, oh so good!!!!
Possibilities for the Jedi : - Ezra Bridger : has a connection to Ahsoka, Thrawn and the Darksaber. - Cal Kestis : is out there, trying to find force sensitive people and survivors from Order 66. - Mace Windu : has decapitated Boba Fett's dad in front of him, which could lead to a very interesting moment between an old Boba and an even older Windu, should they meet again. Plus... both Darth Maul and the Emperor survived their huge fall so why not Windu. - Yoda : takes on the role of the mentor in every trilogy so far, as a living being or a Force ghost. - Luke Skywalker : is also out there, in his first steps to create a new Jedi order. Could be a FX'ed Mark Hamill or Sebastian Stan. - No one shows up : I mean... any Jedi might be afraid this is another trap. Order 66 kinda left a bad taste in Jedi's mouth, so the survivors might be paranoid, and for good reasons.
My theory that i can't stop thinking about is that grogu just used the seeing stone to contact ahsoka. to me its hilarious. its the ultimate bratty little kid move like accidently making an international call to ask stranger for spelling help or something. like din took him all this way and he just used all this power to contact the only jedi he knows lol
The WWI battle cruiser HMS New Zealand, after being built in Britain sailed to New Zealand where the government gifted the Captain a Maori skirt and pendant with instructions to wear them if they encountered danger. The first captain started a tradition of following these instructions and on numerous occasions, she was part of large fleet battles with massive damage being dealt to ships on both sides, but she has barely touched through it all. Later in her career, rumors abound of enemy ships being sighted and her enlisted crew climbing up and peeking into the bridge and then heading back down saying something like, "Its okay boys, Cap's got 'em on."
Grogu using force choke doesn't automatically mean he's leaning towards the dark side. Don't forget Luke also used it on Jabba's Gamorrean guards in Return of the Jedi. What matters is how it's used. Grogu felt threatened and was using it as a means of defense, not offense. He didn't kill the Stormtroopers outright but rather used it to keep them away and knock them unconscious. Now there's no doubt he may have been experiencing fear but it's only natural since the Empire were the ones who wiped out the Jedi Order. They only see him as an asset to benefit their future. As a child who basically cut himself off from the force for so long to hide from them, the thought of now being in there possession is without a doubt frightening
I got the impression that the seeing stone functioned in a similar way to the... visions, or whatever they were... that Ezra had in the Lothal temple. Granted, I don't fully understand how the Lothal temple functioned, but I feel like they're similar.
You were close Hector but Bradley was doing more of an Australian accent rather than a British one. New Zealand and Australian are very similar almost identical apart from certain letters and most people outside of Australia and New Zealand wouldn't know the difference, so well done on picking it wasn't quite a New Zealand accent.
Heres a theory: The show will end with a teaser showing a shot of a man dressed in black, with a robotic hand walking stealthily on Moff Gideons ship. Stormtroopers walk around a corner, shout a command, raise their weapons followed by the reveal of a green lightsaber igniting. Cut to black. I actually think there is a very strong chance we will get Sebastian Stan as Luke at some point. Rosario was a fan cast and this has been milling around for YEARS! Honestly, id love it.
"We got air in Texas..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Re directors, I wonder if they will open up the pool of directors to more diverse styles? I've loved each episode from the storytelling perspective as I'm a casual SW fan and not as invested in the older characters. I know who they are mind you, and except Han Solo, Luke and Leia, it's all frosting for me. Love watching everyone's joy though!
Because the clones aged so quickly, I was under the impression that none of them are left. Is it possible any of them survived? I fully admit to not knowing because when I was growing up, the OT and the EU were my Star Wars, and I spent soooo much money on books and comics and tabletop RPG reference materials that I was pissed when the prequels dumped all the history and lore I grew up with in the garbage. And then all that anyone wanted to talk about or produce was prequel era stuff, and I honestly was too soured on the idea to give a damn. I did watch some of the Rebels episodes, but only the ones with Thrawn (because I'm an OG Thrawn fan, from back in the 90s before he was an animated character and was the the creation of the guy who made the whole EU possible). But all in all, I don't really know a whole lot about the clones, and I just can't muster up the interest to go watch a series that, in my head, soured my SW experience.
Tython is also an important planet in Star Wars: The Old Republic. swtor.fandom.com/wiki/Tython Technically the game is Legends, but I would have hoped that they take a bit more from the games design of the planet and not just show a lame green rock with a little ruin on hill.
*This episode was called The Tragedy. I don’t know why we said The Betrayal 😂 *

Not of the politics, but almost everything else 😅
We won't see Luke Skywalker......

Will u guys breakdown all the Star Wars announcements
Great talk guys but you were talking about the tragedy not the betrayal episode with Bill Burr. Would love to see your breakdown of that one.

Waiting for the Star Wars investors day discussion !!!!

"The Betrayal"? Was it not "The Tragedy"?

Love the belief we’re he came from and history..
Guys... I know there was so much stuff last week... but this is a bit old by now, hopefully you can keep up the pace for future videos.
Unfortunately, because of the Covid situation, we did NOT get the directors or actors sitting together and doing the roundtables like last time. :(
