On our way down the mountain, we experienced an unforgettable moment with a herd of pronghorns running alongside our vehicle at an estimated 35 mph! It felt like we were racing them, and the stunning backdrop of the setting sun made it even more magical.

These incredible animals are the fastest land mammals in North America, capable of reaching speeds up to 55 mph. Native to New Mexico, pronghorns have adapted to the open plains and deserts, thriving thanks to conservation efforts over the past century.
