Not really, it is not good to be the king. Especially when every other younger male is vouching for your death or constant plans are being made to overthrow you and your supporters. Monkeys, chimps, humans.. same story. You do get some short term benefits like being able to pick 3 bananas from a bunch, to have the best females or have the best conditions for your offspring. But the moment you slack or get overpowered by another group or another male, you will be tortured or eliminated to get rid of any possible competition.
