the version of tongues today is taught that it's a heavenly prayer language for the individual. some early charismatics taught that if one spoke in tongues there had to be an interpretation. however that interpreter was always another english speaking person, which meant that there not someone in the audience that spoke that language, it was a message given by the Lord that was in an unknown tongue or a heavenly language. why then did Gabriel speak to Daniel and John in a language they understood? cannot God speak to one in the language they speak? lastly, Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians that all the spiritual gifts are given to edify, build up, encourage the church. since this is a personal prayer language, where is there any edifying of others? seems, since it is just for the individual, that's seems selfish to me, which Christ has no part of.
Are we preparing people for heaven or are we having a special club, is the seventh Adventist church God's church or does it belong to these pastors who are acting like they are agent of the devil. As God's people we need to stand up and fight against this, they are using our money GOD'S MONEY to desecrate God's church by inviting all kind things in. WHO ARE WE AGAIN?we throw out God's word and bring garbage in.
