I totally agree with about Krasi's Pulley. I found that grabbing a reel of winch cable that has a clear covering, but is the same size... will make it move as smooth as wet glass. I go through about 3 cables a year. I'm still looking for a pin stack to help the weight swing. I also found that adding bands to the pegs, and on the angled frame works good with a handle and with a strap you can hit into it, get good resistance from angles but without a lot of weight swing. Also, you can add a chain around the legs and the machine, that adds a stop like Todd does. Very very fun. 💪
I put one of these ring things to stop my bucket of rocks from swinging (image link in reply) and that's how close it is to the wall without touching. Controlled the distance with a few washers to center the cable (long bolt because I ran out of shorter ones.) Also put another one up top for the Hutchings style hard stop for isometrics.
@@ArmwrestlingAcademia Put it there a few months ago and been using the pulley 2-3 times per week and neither the cable nor the ring feels any different to non-contact parts so far.
Yeah, I'd say if you can, either bolt the table down or put some heavier weights on the bottom, I'll put some 20's on there next time to see how it holds up.
Thanks for the great review. Can I ask which country it was shipped to? More so I can figure out the taxes of my own country in the EU. Since it should only be extra VAT and PayPal fee then? One thought on the cable rocking the weight back and forth, abrasively, is that some Baltic Arm wrestlers tend to put a pipe from 40-50 cm above the ground running up to the pulley wheel, hence having the cable running inside the pipe for more stability. How to attach it to his pulley system? Hmm. I have to think on this one a bit in order to preserve it without any destruction. I wanted to get one myself from Krasimir. I have other pulleys here at my place, would be great to have one for more specific table heights you encounter and translates to the table better, would be a great asset.
Country is Serbia, so right next door, but not in the EU properly. I didn't have any VAT or custom charges, not sure how EU will be. Pipes would be ideal but as you said, tricky with free pulleys, unless you made it a fixed-but-free system, maybe? On other free cable systems, I used bands to uprights either side of the load (So could be the table legs here) to keep the load roughly centred, seems to work, of course you get some band tension during the actual pull but hey, extra tension.
@@ArmwrestlingAcademia Yea. Makes sense. I like to try go over some sort of design and get back to you about it. I wanted to make it with a pipe because the weight swings very easily on free pulleys. Major problem often. I will try find out if anyone knows anything. Its how to mount it rightfully, so its not messing up the system in place there. Ahh Serbia? Great. Respect. They will open it ALL from outside EU and claim 40 dollars for the deed and 25 % custom tax + on the value of product and 50 % if its worth more than 150 dollar circa. So importing over 150 dollars is like paying 2-3 times more. Cant run around. Its the whole foundation of building EU as well. Its brain dead. The pulley system I got is very bad. 1 of the 3 screws won't fit into my Mazurenko table which leads to a lot of movement while training with heavy weights. I am actually scared this will destroy my table long term. Talked with Krasi and showed him pictures and measurements that it doesn't fit. He told me to use a belt which I have to tie around the pulley and table which is not a good solution for me cause I dismantle the pulley system sometimes for armwrestling. He refused to send me a new one. Great armwrestler but very bad customer service. Besides that sometimes the cable is too long or short for training so it messes around with your setup. Better get a real pulley system that is not tied to the table. Would not recommend anyone!
That's interesting, which Mazurenko table do you have? Because the advertising when I bought mine said it would fit Mazurenko tables and I have seen many people use Mazurenko tables with it. The belt makes sense but as you said, if you also use it as a sparring table, it's inconvenient. I have the same problem with the cable length, it's difficult to get a good range of motion with most standard handles. I agree, if you can get a pulley system that stands independent from the table, it's much more practical and lets you do a lot more things (For example side resistance is very awkward with this).
@@ArmwrestlingAcademia i got the most expensive table from mazurenko. Same as Rino Masic uses. Yes the advertising says it fits but in reality there must be other people with the same problem as well, cause Krasi told me everyone else finds a solution like using a belt and it is just me not being happy with the product. Sending it back would cost me another 30€ shipment to the 30€ shipment i already payed for the first time
@@ArmwrestlingAcademia Have found that you can use ropes that you use for boats, bought 30 meters of rope for 5 dollars and it can hold 250kg. You cut the rope and make it whatever length you want, have 1 rope for cupping and side pressure, and 1 rope for rising, back pressure from low angle
Good Review
Thanks!

That's pretty smart, have you noticed the cable wearing where it rubs on the ring?

Do you think you’ll need to anchor the table? It’s shifting on you a bit .
