Can’t wait to see this .. I was lucky to have seen oasis in Loch Lomond in 1996 few weeks before knebworth amazing time to be alive what a band the best there was and will be forever more
@@Matthew-ve7uv it actually takes years of practise to distinguish between diet and full fat. Although I do struggle telling the difference between Iron Brew and 7up for some reason.
I was there and it was the last greatest gig before the internet, you was in the moment you was with the band it was an amazing weekend 125 thousand people each day all there for the same reason to watch oasis.
They certainly didn't bypass the theatre circuit in America, which, actually was a real blessing. I've seen them in 2000 in a 2500 seat theatre, & I've seen them in Chicago, in an amphitheatre, in front of 16,000+ people, & the theatre gig was much better, both the sound & acoustics of the venue, & the ability to see the band, up close & personal. Chicago was a better setlist, though.
The part about bypassing arenas is only reffering to the UK I think, but I agree, big shows are good for the atmosphere, the crowd, the lights and screens, the people singing together etc... It's fun, impressive and massive and all that, but smaller ones are better for me too, you actually see the stage and the band, and the band is seeing the crowd too, sound is very often better, and you can really enjoy the music and there's a better interaction between the crowd and the band.. . In a big show, you often hear the crowd as much as the band and except for a few people in the front, don't see a lot of what's going on ^^ Being french I'm a bit in the same situation than americans, Oasis were never as big as they were in the uk here too, so I'm glad I didn't saw them in a stadium or only in a huge festival. I saw Oasis for the first time in a small arena in my hometown, and it's already big enough to make you miss a lot of the sound and music. I became a fan that night and was thinking everything was perfect and awesome and all that and had no moment thinking Liam's voice wasn't good or anything... Then I downloaded a bootleg of that night, and heard Liam's voice that day ... The end of 2005 and 2006 was a really, really bad period for his voice ^^ but I really didn't noticed anything at all during the show 😁 If you care about sound and music and the band more than about the "big show experience", the smaller the venue, the better it is ^^

I was at Knebworth....had to tell the coach driver how to get there because he lost his mate he was following in the other coach (we left from Paddington Station). Took a while to get there only to discover there was this horseshoe shaped barrier excluding alot of the crowd from getting anywhere near the stage. The band were so far away it was lacking atmosphere. I'd seen Oasis two years before at a small room in the Brighton Centre probably 200 people present....much better gig despite the crappy PA.
