I seen a lynx back about 1984 in Northern Alberta Canada. It was at the side of the road and I stopped the car and got out and looked at it. It never moved. I had no camera so I got back in the car and drove on. Another time I seen a mountain lion leaping across the road a bit ahead of the car. The clearing was about 20 feet or so on each side of the road and as I recall it effortlessly bounded the (estimated 70 feet) in about 3 leaps. It was amazing.

Kitteh does seem happy there. Where most humans tend to make the pet mistake is in that our four-legged brethren are not lesser forms over which we have "dominion", but rather are our peers, and when treated as such can become fast friends. I do not "own pets", I have four-legged friends.

Hi Jeff: Just watched your video about the rescued bobcat. I rescued a tame, adult bobcat in 1972. She was someone's pet that had somehow escaped from her owner. Her front paws had been declawed, she was wearing a thin brown collar with no ID tag. She had been shot in the right hind leg and was in very poor condition. We tried to find her owner to no avail , so she remained with us as a beloved friend for twenty years. I am a wildlife artist and Brighton Publishing has just released a book about our family's adventures with this amazing and beautiful bobcat. I do make it very clear in the book that these animals belong in their wild habitat, protected by the proper state and federal laws. The book is entitled: "OUR FRIEND PRECIOUS THE BOBCAT," It is available in e-book, and Amazon.com & Barnes & Noble.com. May thanks for your work with wildlife.
