I hate when they use ketchup, it ruins the dish. My favorite Thai restaurant started using ketchup so I stopped going there until I found out they had new owners. I went back and they didn't use ketchup. Surprised you didn't use chopped peanuts.

That pad thai have no chili paste at all i can guarantee u its not the same as the one in thai xD. U put chili paste onion garlic first until it brown,put ur meat(shrimp,chickn) put egg, stir, put pad thai, put soy sauce,fish sauce, lime juice and tamarind water. Maybe some black pepper or white pepper. This is the real pad thai. You're making ur own version because u dont have the ingredients. Mention that!!
There is a tomato based pad thai that exists in different regions of Thailand, hence the ketchup. I think its too sweet for me personally and not enough umami that tamarind usually brings.

Quan my man. A while back of all places in Michigan was a little family owned Thai place and they made a Coconut and Red Curry Pad Thai with your choice of meats. Spicy and delish. What’s the odds of you whipping together something like this for us. I’ve tried to make it but it’s just not the same. Maybe use the coconut cream instead of milk. Not sure. Love watching the channel.
