I've always been terrible about hydrating while I'm running. I got better about it when I was training for the marathon, but I hate carrying this with me, so most of the time I don't take any. I would always stop at water stops on the longer race courses, but I've read so many things that if you are only running a 5K (maybe even a 10K) that your body doesn't really have time to process the water you are consuming during that short of a race, so it is more important to be hydrated before and to re-hydrate when you're done. I drink mostly water during the day anyway, so I'm usually relatively well hydrated. LOL
I’d say even with shorter distances, if you’re out there a long while, you may still need hydration! (Mad props to my slow runners! ❤️) I drink a lot of water over the course of the day too- gotta have that emotional support water bottle! 🤓
Thanks, and all great tips. For those that don't hydrate, pls realize your blood will thicken and your blood vessels will narrow, and you're risking a blood clot and heart attack. Unfortunately, I've seen it happen in a marathon.

Great advice!
Thanks so much! 🤓

I can’t understand why someone WOULDN’T hydrate. I know getting to the next aid station is what keeps me going! 🤓
I keep it very simple. When I'm running, I drink water with a little lemon juice. It's a great way to stay hydrated.
Nice! 🩷🤓
