seems like this challenge could be easy or frustrating depending on the hex in question. some are certainly better than others. perhaps the latest patch will make the hexes better now.
I'm hoping so, I may do a few more runs!

Oh geez, what a run! It's amazing how patient you can be. I saw how little the HP bar of that miniboss in Erebus moved and felt despair for how the rest of the run was going to go. Cool to see Wolf Howl getting used, too -- I've avoided it for a while, but it seems like you got some good use out of it!
I think that one mini-boss is the only one in the game that requires you to kill the minions to complete the fight? Trying to think of another one that requires it. I wonder if it's just an oversight.
Daze is actually a 20% chance to miss! Really solid, especially when you can combine it with other sources of Dodge.
Concave Stone is such a scary pick!! Imagine if you had gotten a sacrifice boon that made your cast or sprint deal damage.
I did some data mining: looks like Chronos has 20k HP in his first phase and only 16k HP in his second. So you're absolutely right, he loses 20% of his max health between phases. I bet the fact that he uses invincibility way less in phase 2 adds to the feeling of him dying more quickly.
I can't imagine how intense it was to be down to your last 17 hp! Fun fact: if you had been at 15 HP instead, you would've gotten the "Hair's Breadth!" title for your victory screen.
This was fun! I'd be up for watching you try it again with other Hexes, if there's any that call out to you, especially now that they've been buffed. Congrats on your pre-patch victory!

I think I'll do more hex runs, they're pretty fun to build into. But yeah super glad I got the clear, I do wish id finished it with 15 health though that would've been a nice accolade! And yes, I am so happy that the concave stone didn't give me a bad choice, I definitely should've picked something else🤣
@@JackOfAllGame Oh, looking forward to the RNG run! I feel like that would be even harder in Hades 2 than Hades 1, somehow. Boons feel more specific/niche. I guess your Concave Stone pick was practice for not picking your own boons!
would love to see this on the new update (i may try it) all the hexes are pretty cheap magick wise now, lunar ray alone is like 30? or something, and total eclipse is like 80 or something

I've tried a few so far and it's not terrible! tho my first time I had to die to reset like 10 times to get a damaging hex
Are you going to try every hex? That'd be interesting if also very frustrating
