If you travel and see this beautiful world we live in. I promise you you won't be as mad as the internet wants you to be!! I love NC. I need to spend more time in Charlotte. You should od Asheville!
You are absolutely 100% correct. The real world is not as scary as news present it. Remember, media is just another business that try to make money on people's feelings, including fear ...
America is so beautiful . But the thing is Americans dont realize how beautiful their country is . They only have got time to blaim taxes and stuffs . The taxes are high , but paying those taxes is 101% worth it
Thinking strongly of moving to North Carolina from Denver Colorado. It's way to expensive and has turned into a 2nd California. Genuinely would love any input both good and bad. Considering Charlotte but open to suggestions. Thanks so much!
I use to live there. It’s an awfully boring place, mediocre food, not much culture, very small city, no attractions, but cost of living is low compared to major east coast cities. The “city” is really a financial district of big banks surrounded by suburban neighborhoods.
How long have you been away? I am a more recent transplant from the northeast and think the opposite. I've found Charlotte to be one of the cleanest, prettiest cities with an abundance of things to do. The food scene has simply exploded over the past few years and "the city" is growing up and expanding at a faster than 99% of all cities in the country--a fact. Second, those suburban area surrounding the city center are some of THE most gorgeous neighborhoods you will find in any city in America, imo. The "financial district" does have many backs but the surrounding neighborhoods sch as the Southend, and NODA and LOSO are bustling with activity. Attractions? Whitewater Center, A Major Amusement park. Many Museums, parks. 3 major pro sports teams, major concerts, festivals, mountain climbing 25 mile south, etc. Shopping is above average for a midsized city. There's plenty to do in Charlotte, but no city is for everyone.
From my perspective (and I'm from Boston area) I see it as one of the nicest, cleanest, prettiest cites with some of THE nicest intown neighborhoods you can find anywhere. It's fast growing with new neighborhoods with a lot to do all over the metro. It is not a perfect city---which I have yet to find, but looking--but Charlotte is imo as close to one as can be found. Why? Three major league sports teams, a plethora of eating establishments with many, many pooping up everywhere in the city. Zero homeless camps (though I feel for the homeless it seems Charlotte takes care of them providing shelter). Traffic is not the best but not as bad as Boston. Attractions? Professional sports teams; The US Whitewater Center for superior outdoor activities; a major amusement park; Hiking at Kings mountain 30 minutes from city center. Excellent shopping for a city its size. Two major lakes next to the city. Excellent parks and to top it off great weather, and an airport that can take one to almost anywhere, "Very small" compared to what? Name the cities you are making reference to? NYC, Chicago, LA, Vegas, and a relatively few other larger cities? Please explain "very small" relative and subjective to one's experience. There were many days I was "bored" in Boston so I would take the train to Providence for the day to relieve my feelings of "boredom." I will give you one point for the truthful statement that Charlotte is very suburban outside of the central area. But to me that is a BIG plus! The best of both world's, major development along the light rail that one can walk on for miles and housing that is well taken care of, manicured lawns and big trees for shade and aesthetics throughout the city. Well, I guess I've said enough though I have quite a bit more I could add. Thanks for listening.

how was the weather? I saw recently there was a hurricane over there, is that common?
