@@goissilva I only died once and it was my dumb decision for going to the end of the arena when he jumped to do his raiser attack, otherwise I beat him on my second try. The levels are harder than the actual bosses in this game; though bosses like the Baboons and Fugu are creative and fun.

We are talking about when he dashes at you right? Assuming we’re on the same page, at this point in the game you should know this...the first boss has you hit its back when it comes towards you...

It’s a pretty dumb boss tbh but once you figure out you need to jump on his back I kinda like it
This boss is such a load of doodoo man. It's not even the hardest boss, it just feels cheap. U have to hit all 3 jumps on his back to move to the next phase, but his back hit box is stupid as hell, i literally have recorded videos of me phasing through his back, and me hitting his back where I normally hit him and getting damaged instead. And then he lifts all the platforms, which all drop at the same time for me, and even with Dixie's hover, they don't rise out of the lava quick enough to let me land and so I just fall in the lava with full health and instantly die. And then I get to do this whole stupid ass fight again which takes for fucking ever lol
The rest of the game is pretty good but the main difficulty of this boss fight is the boredom you will suffer. The box to hit him is very small and if you miss once, he will somehow hit you and you have to wait 45-55 seconds to hit him again (up to 1:30 near the final phase)
The last boss fight is one of the worst fights I’ve ever faced in a video game. Not because it is hard but it is just so incredible annoying and obnoxious to fight this fucking walrus since you can’t even deal damage to him like 90% of the time

It took me like 3 hours to defeat this boss. I resisted to watch this gameplay until I win . Lil by lil I realized that I could roll on the enemies to get hearts and to collect bananas also with the help of Dixie got yellow hearts. This is the longest boss Ive defeated, u gotta be patient..
Great game. Dixie’s special ability really helps with this battle. Two other annoying bosses for me were the trio of baboons or whatever they were. And the giant puffer fish.

Yeh you have to really time it right, i've found Cranky Kong is the best for getting his hit box on the back, cause you can press that button that makes him use his stick like a spiky pogo. But then afterward you find that you really need Dixie Kong to hover for abit so you can catch the platforms once float bk up from the lava; so it's really a no win situation there.
Sheesh finally beat this boss and I was using Funky Kong haha. If you find yourself running out of lives you can roll over the three enemies to get hearts back. You can jump on them then roll them over or just roll them over. If you roll over all 3 he will just shoot another round of 3. I kept filling my hearts this way. Good luck and thanks for the video!
I’m on this level. No wonder it’s so hard, I didn’t realize it was the last boss/level! 😂 After he made the platform go into the air and I fell in the lava I was 😮 Now to find out there’s going to be huge ice birds too. This game is amazing I almost don’t want it to end.
OMG this final boss was literally hard because when I first time playing that game on Nintendo Switch back in 2018, it took me several tries to beat that boss but right now this year in 2024, I played the whole game again and I literally beat that hard final boss in 1 try when I was playing as Funky Kong on the Nintendo Switch.
I remember that when I first got the game on wii u I never was able to beat the final boss but I finally beat the boss on my third attempt with diddy kong. Simple tip buy dixie kong barrels in the shop so you can always have her during the fight. Also if you are getting low on hearts use dixie kongs speacial with l and when the enemies pop out so you can get the gold hearts.

in a way, this boss fight seems reminiscent of the King K. Rool fight in the original Donkey Kong Countries. Think about it, look at his attack patterns.
Its great, but the jumps are too floaty and hitbox are cheap. In a good platformer you die because you make mistake. Not because développer made mistake. Look at Super Meatboy or Celeste. Those are perfect plaformer. DK has some of the best desing, gameplay ideas, music etc, but pour caracter move and cheap deaths patterns....
Hate to say it, but they missed the mark on the game’s ending. Virtually no build-up, boss is hard but doesn’t build up suspense and seem epic, and does nothing to feel special. It’s even worse that you don’t know when it ends, so it doesn’t feel satisfying at all. Just feels like average boss which in the end makes the whole game feel like a level pack
I just got here, and i cant destroy this boss, he always hit my dixie ,i didnt know about those dragons, we have to jump and get down, and then it gets more dificult. 2023 im still playing this hard game.
its tough without diddy or dixie but possible. i try to be around 2 to 3 squares away from the one that falls and right before my platform falls, I roll jump onto the first one that fell.

I'm late to the party, but you can go to the exact left (the last platform to fall), roll out of it before it falls, jump in the air to fall in front of the boss, this should give you just enough time for the first platform to respawnI think
Tiki Tong was cool and the things that led up to him made it really cool but this boss is better. It would have been nice to see a platforming section where an iceburg falls down and you have to dodge stuff. Tiki Tong had a cool build up because of the rocket barrel but Fredrik had nothing. It was cool that you could beat him up though unlike Tiki Tong. Fredrik has better attacks and is actually really difficult.
My somewhat guide of beating this boss is go in the level with one extra heart and four potions on easy mode and play as funky Kong. Your main concern should be the lava.
I give up. I cannot beat this. I've used well over 100 lives. Came here to see if there was something I wasn't doing but there isn't. This is just too much.
I played this boss and a few levels of world 6 with my backup files to test out CEMU's performance on my pc, and I ENDED UP STUGGLING WITH THE LEVELS MORE. I got him within 2 tries... I remember it taking me months to beat the bastard on my U as a kid, hell I struggled with Tiki Tong more when I replayed Returns back during the pandemic, what the hell
This boss would be fine if I didn't have to wait for him to refreeze the stage. I had to keep taking breaks cuz I got so annoyed with how long each attempt was. This video helped tho! I thought he might have 4 more long phases. This video makes him look easy!
It was a good game but had to be longer. Donkey Kong country returns took a lot more time to complete for me. Maybe it should have had a couple more worlds like country returns
on the last phase, right before he was about the charge, I would hover and then let go at the moment right before his horns passed under me. it was difficult to get this timing down.

This Last F6cking Boss, is the MOST DIFFICULT of all Boss. I Had 70+ lifes, and now i have only 47 lifes, and i still can not Kill him... That's why i HATE 😡🤬😡🤬ALL TITLES in the Switch... except the Mario Bros...
The first platform to fall is also the first one to rise back up again. simply jump onto the platform from one still in the air. If the first platform to fall is the one closest to fredrik, wait until the one farthest from him starts to fall and then roll jump forward. It will be a leap of faith but the first platform should catch you at the end.

I never even tried to hit him while he charged at me due to that hit box being so tiny i just thought there’s no way. After throwing the little guys at him for an hour i realized only after watching this that the hit box while he’s charging really is impractical and is that tiny after all. Actually glad to be right. This boss is poorly designed along with one level in the ice land but otherwise great game!

Such an awkward tricky last boss, took me loads of tries and i just got lucky on the last hit-point on his back, frickin crap. Anyway decent game just let down by that last boss imo 8/10 purely because of that. But i hope they can make a third one on Switch now. Ninty need to stop with all these "Deluxe" versions of their previous games it's LAZY, make actual sequels!

The fact that you have to keep restarting all over again, wait for the slow phases makes this game so close to perfect but yet so far

Damn this boss, so cheap
Such an awkward tricky last boss, took me loads of tries and i just got lucky on the last hit-point on his back, frickin crap. Anyway decent game just let down by that last boss imo 8/10 purely because of that. But i hope they can make a third one on Switch now. Ninty need to stop with all these "Deluxe" versions of their previous games it's LAZY, make actual sequels!

Super Merio some levels and bosses were extremly hard. The Boss from World 5 was the hardest... i needed almost an hour! But the Final Boss was easy!
