This was one of the more difficult recordings for me to watch. It hit very close to home. Thirteen years ago I became clean from meth and my state of mind had previously been much closer to his than anyone who deeply cared for me. At that time I was ready to die but fear actually kept me alive. I did not think I would ever find lasting happiness in life... yet, fast forward to 2023 and I have decided to go to school to become a nurse! I am finishing up my first year of nursing school as we speak, with only one more to go before I become an RN! I thank God that I found the child in me who has deserved my love all along.
Congrats in case anyone was wondering this is wut can happen to anyone that does meth long enough this guy is the definition of a chemical imbalance hope an pray he gets the help he needs
He said something about missing women, and his desperation for sex. When Mark asked twice, "who have you hurt, who have you murdered?" I felt truth in those questions
@@emptyplenty4730 psychosis is really really frustrating because of how difficult it is to get other people to understand what you’re experiencing. It’s not funny regardless

@@monicabroussard840 I'm proud of you for being sober❤️ My ex was in meth psychosis nearly ALL the time, (not so much in the beginning of our relationship when it was easier for him to hide his addiction) but eventually he put hidden cameras inside my own home to spy on ME, he put blankets & cardboard over ALL of our windows in our home so that "people couldn't spy on us", he thought i communicated with secret people through my smart TV, if a song came on in the grocery store he would RAGE at me because he thought i was controlling the music to "mess with him", thought i hired people to kill him, he would make me pack a bag to go stay in hotel rooms for days at a time because he was so scared that "everyone was out to get him" including ME, which he became super abusive at the thought of me trying to hurt him/set him up like that. In the hotel room he would barricade the door with furniture and take my phone away from me so that "we couldn't be tracked", he would show up to my job while I was working "to see if I was really there" because HE SWEARS he saw me at a gas station with other people or some shit; just legitimately crazy abusive stuff. I tried to get him help for the longest time and he always refused and just got more and more abusive so yeah I left.
Holy shit this has to be the most sad, insane, dark interview I’ve ever seen.. totally speechless. I’ve seen my fair share of meth behavior and meth psychosis.. this is on another level. Really seems very dangerous. I’ve only had a feeling close to what I have watching this very few times in my life around people tweaking .. just this gut wrenching paralyzed feeling. You go from feeling bad for him to feeling unsafe real quick. Man.. this is something else
Yep. It's the sleep deprivation that does it. In my city we've had a tweaker stab a mother and child right infront of their school, and another shove an old lady onto train tracks. I've seen entities after 2 days awake on meth yrs ago, I cannot imagine how paranoid 5 days can have someone.
@@WillThomas-hs3oj actually, I definitely have a clue, and I live smack dab in the middle of tweaker central. I’ve met my fair share, and I consider myself versed when it comes to the nature of drugs and the nature of human beings - and this guy is absolutely unhinged in a very scary way that I’m sure meth helped bring out in him, but there’s something way deeper going on here. The words he chooses to use are horrific.. his sleep deprived mind can’t contain the amount of darkness happening and he’s just spewing it out. I urge you to maybe rewatch this and ask yourself if he’s the same as everyone else doing tweak. Because I promise you, this is a dangerous person. Even coming from a girls point of view- he’s either already done something unimaginably terrible, or it’s brewing and bound to happen at some point.
I remember in the earlier 2000s there being anti- drug commercials where a kid would talk about their addicted friend who looked literally like a deflated balloon version of themselves. Would talk about how they used to have fun and now their passions are gone, are listless, or act like strangers.
@@jdout personally the only thing that would sorta give away my meth use was i would catch my jaw twitch sometimes, and im dyslexic and the drug would make talking a bit more difficult as in if you where to watch my mouth when i was talking to someone you’d tell it wasn’t my normal face movement but it wasn’t outrageously noticeable. or id have to remind myself i can feel my eyes 👀 and would have to relax my eye lids so i didnt look so OOut there. but my addiction came from my work place, so we’d get high and work speed Xs 12. but this is so true, it was obvious to see in some of my coworkers, but when i found out who ALL was on it at work i was shocked and mind blown about one specific coworker. he seemed just always happy and loud and he was a big dude working hard so the sweat was over looked. then it clicked when i started using and noticing his come downs and anger and “not himself” until he’d leave and come back in a fine mood.. this drug took me under so fast and for so long and i couldn’t even fully realize my life was getting worse and harder and more frustrating every hour until i was completely sober.. when i got sober, i laid in my bed and slept for 4 days (straight ish) my parents would wake me up to make me eat a very small amount but then id go right back to sleep. this drug takes so much out of you. PHYSICALLY. i didn’t get up other than a couple times to use the restroom and be forced to eat. everything was rightfully taken away from me. mg parents went threw my phone and being the protective parents they are, texted everyone i had associated about drugs with to never contact me again or they’d ruin they’re life type shit. i wasn’t aloud to leave my house. was on complete lock down. my parents worried and worked so hard to get me into a drug rehab. unfortunately i accidentally went to a mental hospital (because theyre habilitation facts online where NOTHING of what they provided.) worst experience and the most absolute wrong place for me to get sober at. Oceans mental hospital in abilene Tx. (keep in mind i was needing wanting help walked in there voluntarily after being excepted at the age 17) was the oldest girl in the cell. cuz if u ever been to jail. this is that walls chairs food gates and locks and all. the other girls where in there for attempt suicide or harming themselves. non of them related to me. all we talked about was cutting urself and psychotic thoughts. PRESCRIBED me more drugs haha. which was insane to me but all they want is money so hooked it up. after 5 days of coloring, crying, coloring and begging my parents in the 2 calls a day that i was in the wrong place, they came and got me and took me home. now it’s up to me and my mindset to surround myself with healthy people and to have the self control to say no and walk away. (a year later im 18 and i still have a tracker in my truck) good parenting tough love is hard. but they dragged me out of a spiraling outrage of failure and encourage me to do what benefits me :)
My bf for 12 years just came out his meth addict since 16 years old. We are in 50’s now. I am done with the Ups and Downs and erratic behavior. I love him so much but he chose his vices over me. There’s been good and when it’s bad it’s bad.
it's a slippery slope to dictate what another person can/can't do with their own bodies. If you can dictate forced institution for rehab,it can be made to where you can be forcefully institutionalized until you agree to giving up a kidney or until you agree to an abortion or even for ideologies/political views. I'm all for people getting help, but it shouldn't be forced. They'll eventually realize and get it themselves and if not, unfortunately, natural selection. You know the dangers.

I started doing drugs years ago as a teenage, got addicted to meth. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Meth addiction actually destroyed my life. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 4 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
YES sure of Dr.benfungi. Did straight shrooms in few days. Left me like a blank slate after words, no more addictions, pains, ptsd and depression. Shit saved my life, all thanks to Dr.benfungi

He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
I was horrifically depressed since childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.
Drug induced psychosis hints at a bigger mental illness called substance use disorder. I suffer from it and many others do, we are so depressed when sober we are constantly torn between drugs or killing ourselves because we hate ourselves and what we’ve become as much as anyone else. Drugs temporarily ease all the heaviness we feel, and many of us have to be on some type of drug constantly throughout the day to stay happy. Many have killed themselves, and I understand why. We cannot bear the thought of being sober. If we are sober, its not by choice it’s usually due to financial crisis and we are in a state of withdrawal. We know that we’ve done so many drugs for so long that we will be in nasty withdrawal if we stop, and the mental withdrawals are 100x worse than physical withdrawals and last much longer. We know for months, or years, or depending on the drug an entire lifetime we will forever be chasing the feeling, and being sober just after drug use leads to a state of depression far worse than how it started. A drug like meth gives you a feeling you will chase for a lifetime. Imagine going 200mph on a motorcycle while also realizing you’ve just won the lottery. It doesn’t look like that but this is what meth feels like. It strips the human brains ability to be happy on its own, it changes the way you think. Meth is the devil. I use meth sometimes (I’m high now) but I mainly use vyvanse and adderall, sometimes cocaine. Weed constantly, occasionally psychedelics like lsd and shrooms. Occasionally opiates/ opioids, tho I try to stay away cuz that stuff can kill you easily. Alcohol is only reserved for when I don’t have anything else, I hate the feeling and everything about alcohol. I’m constantly on many different medications prescribed from the doctor to try to ease my substance abuse disorder, which those alone kinda get me high/ spaced out, but nothing compares to the euphoric blast of meth (my drug of choice). I usually end up mixing those prescribed pills (usually downers, but I get adhd meds too) with alcohol and / or weed to make it stronger. I do not recommend this life for anyone, it is true hell that only leads to disastrous consequence. It’s hell to experience a single day in my life, I am constantly searching for whatever can alter my state of consciousness. It is agonizing to have no control over my thoughts and actions. People think drug addiction is a choice, while it may start out with a choice it completely hijacks the brain making the drug it’s only sole desire. People do it either out of curiosity, or out of a false sense of power thinking they’re not going to get addicted like others, only to find themselves in the exact mess they didn’t want. It’s a scary thing, how drugs like meth blast the body with unnaturally high levels of dopamine/euphoria. Many times higher than sex. And since our brains are hardwired to seek out dopamine as acts that benefit one’s survival gives one dopamine, with meth making it the highest the brain has ever seen the brain thinks “do meth or die”. And for a lifetime people will be in a state of depression because they’ve experienced the most euphoric experience of their lives and absolutely nothing else will ever compare to it

Unfortunately they usually don't get the help. Until they go to jail, and even then, a lot of people slip through the cracks. You'd be surprised how many people just like him to through life without getting the help they need until the day they die.
@worm6948 I'm too aware of how many folks are just left to suffer alone. I have a couple family members and have had friends that are and were untreated and who's lives were wrecked for lack of even basic treatment. Those of us that have to support them and try to protect them from the worst outcomes have a painful insight into the challenges of the sufferers, the people who try to be the safety backstop, and the professional caregivers who can never keep up with the need. Peace and comfort to all of us
There is help out there... People have to make the choice to go get the help! If you tried to help this man he would manipulate you and take you for everything he can get and move on to the next victim! He has to want the help for him to change but I'm sure all that meth has done permanent brain damage that it's to late for this man
@Jesse James I agree with you. There are help. Mark has had people on here who work in rehabs and other programs for addicts. And then we see the horrible stories about rehabs which doesn't care about the people AT ALL. They pay people to come and it's just scams. However you say that people need to want help. That's absolutely right. However something people aren't aware of their own situation. I don't believe this guy is sitting here lying. I believe he's psychotic. He has no idea what he's doing or that everything he's talking about is in his head. How is he then supposed to want help? I also believe there's hope for everyone. Our brain can almost repair everything it's been exposed to when it comes to chemicals. It just takes time, at least a couple of years until the chemistry is normal again. I hope I got the words right here, I'm Norwegian so sometimes it's difficult to explain in another language.
No, this dude deserves it. I hate to say that but it’s true. He’s probably been offered Help 1 million times. He’s probably stolen from all his friends and family members. The truth of the matter is he belongs in prison It’s the meth that is making him like that. I’m sure at one time he was a normal rational person. My step brother is the same way when he does meth. And he also deserves his terrible life because of his repeated stupid decisions. And I can attest he has been given so much Help and so much money but he would rather live in the gutter do meth.

dude's legit delirious -- the way he went on about rampaging with a baseball bat and how he was "murdered" and "chopped up" -- seems like he was re-living some traumatic events very vividly and the powerlessness he felt at the time. I doubt very much he's really conscious of what he's saying, it's the delirium of a 3-day meth binge from someone whose brain has been deep-fried, he's basically sleep-walking.

Tried it once. Thought I was taking snow. Was awake for two days straight and fried my kidneys within an inch of their life. It made me feel pretty great for a hot second, until I started hallucinating and knew it was sleep deprivation, that was the moment I knew I could never do it again, or go looking, it was the cleanest high I’d ever felt, didn’t feel like snow, not jittery, not anxious just completely focused on what was in front of me (false focus), I knew if I did it again I would have ended up like this, I knew I would have signed my own death certificate. Fast forward, now with a stable job, caring for my mother, going back to college, life is good, better than whatever shit that would have done for me.
My kidneys failed the 1st time I did it. I thought our house was gonna get raided because my roommate ran out yelling like "wtf!!" Cause this huge metal beer sign right next to our door somehow flew off the door and landed 3-4 feet from the door and he thought I was out there dicking off, til I came out my room like "wtf?" Too and his face totally changed like oh shit it wasn't you? I immediately started spassing hallucinating laser sights from guns coming thru my windows, balcony, etc when we were standing in the living room and checked the peephole to see if someone kicked our door or something. I got sketched from the red lasers I was seeing and trying to play off and ran and jumped out the window through the screen off a two story apt window like superman, ran to my car, sped away swearing I saw police raiding my house (and honestly I don't know and don't think they did but it was so real to me, it damn well could've happened because *nothing* explains the beer sign flying from the ground/leaning against the wall 3 4 feet away slamming on the ground loud enough to hear from the back of the condo in our rooms. I swear I saw people in uniforms rushing thru the bottom floor glass door u put the code in I just hit the gas and ran yo. Ended up wrecking. I ran thru the woods being chased by shadow people screaming for help from cars til I got back to the entrance to my neighborhood. The cops set up a checkpoint waiting for me and took me involuntary to the psych ward in hospital. I ended up having kidney failure 2-3 days in, after a fight with security and pulling the hospital fire alarm. I also go so badly beaten by security for that, I shit my gown and it got all over the 3 security guards beating the fuck out of me and myself. I was knocked out and woke up strapped to a mattress not even a real hospital bed anymore I wasn't allowed one in my room arms strapped toa. Mattress. The security officer told me he hadn't seen anyone as bad as me ever his whole 20 some year career, and I was the second person ever, to his knowledge get the shot I was about to get . This man was about to retire.... I actually thought the hospital had some kind of legal or allowed euthanasia if you were like psychologically bad enough.. so I called him a piece of shit cried asked him how he could stand there and watch while they kill me etc 😂😂😂 anyway I blacked out within 15 seconds (I counted) and woke up next day catheterized and my kidneys failed. I was very lucky

Had thousands of psych patients over the years. This reminds me of one of the more difficult ones ive had. Its tough to have conversations with people when your words are going through filters of delusion and hallucination simultaneously.
It’s more difficult for your patients to understand you if they’re feeling that way for severe reasons it’s even more difficult when you’re judging them.

I'm an ex meth user and was in psychosis a few times, I was definitely crazy but this is something else... I met a few users in that world that would get like this but not many. I think this is what happens when you mix untreated mental illness with meth and no sleep.
Yeah, this is organic, schizoaffective psychosis, not just meth intoxication. I've seen all kinds of whack brain drug situations but this is more mental illness.
I would say its the latter two. Meth and no sleep day after day would make anyone psychotic. Two days without sleep and the symptoms of delusion are fast bubbling up.

One of the biggest points that hit home for me was when Mark asked if he’d ever been formally diagnosed with any mental illness, and he just says no. I’ve been diagnosed with mental illnesses since I was like 7. We went through the processes, combinations of medications of what doesn’t work and makes shit worse, and what does work and makes shit better. We’ve had that dynamic for the next 16 years… with lots of other reinforcement like counseling; the whole 9. This guys had none of that, and he’s probably twice my age or more. I’ve met lots of people like him, and it sucks more than you can put into words because they could have been such fucking phenomenal people if they weren’t so tragically beat down. I see pieces of myself in this guy. I truly hope he can put that shit down. I’ll leave it at that.
He's going to dye trying to medicate himself.... I think that is a big part of why people end up on drugs...no one could or would help them in their youth or past??
I worked in the mental health field in-patient and out-patient areas and I never cease to wonder how people with these disturbing delusions can survive day to day. I don't have the stamina to live this way. Bless him.

I recommend anyone watching this to read Sam Quinones book, The Least of Us. It speaks to how the formula of Meth has changed from that of 20-30 years ago when ephedrine was banned. I can’t recall the exact derivative being used but it accounts for the psychosis you see nowadays in meth heads. The book touches on a lot of things and is a great read in general. Highly recommend it.
The problem is that the state run institutions have been closed and mental health issues are now contracted out to for- profit companies who do nothing more than pass out psychotic drugs and let these people fend for themselves on the streets.

Drug induced psychosis is so real. My heart breaks for those who are sick on drugs. I wish recovery and happiness for him
Drug induced psychosis hints at a bigger mental illness called substance use disorder.

This is so beneficial and educational especially for young kids, teens! Show them the real raw truth! Don't sugar coat it because when they r teens someone might try to sugar coat it and they'll know better! Obv say no to drugs does not work
I have mental illness and it still effects me til this day, not from any narcotic, but from my father beating me from the time I was a toddler. It took me all through my teens and 20's to recognize it and I finally sought therapy twice per week with my wife to finally feel somewhat normal. Mental illness is not a joke and needs to be addressed. I couldn't imagine compounding that with any drug. I hope this man gets he help he desperately needs. We have couples therapy now once per week and it helps big time now.
Meth makes you think you've taken the ultimate limitless drug. For people like him it's the drug itself causing the mental health problems.

I'm an ex meth user and was in psychosis a few times, I was definitely crazy but this is something else... I met a few users in that world that would get like this but not many. I think this is what happens when you mix untreated mental illness with meth and no sleep.

Yes it’s true. Sleep deprivation, meth use, and poor food and water, and underlying mental health issues. Also stress makes it worse.
I would say its the latter two. Meth and no sleep day after day would make anyone psychotic. Two days without sleep and the symptoms of delusion are fast bubbling up.

The comment section is increasingly a bully's paradise, making fun of suffering, endless laugh emoji's, people getting their kicks from taunting. Not surprising, but it is disheartening.
