Sitting in Chicago O'Hare airport. Need to download something to listen to on the plane. Pull up RUclips and see this has popped up in my feed. This could not have been a more serendipitous upload. You rule.
0:00 to 45:35 all you need to know… and the rest was history, WCW somehow makes it another two years, losing talent to WWE, and in 2001 then WWE buys them. The end.
Wow i remember when David Flair first showed up. He clearly wasn't ready for TV... Did Ric think he was going to retire soon and just wanted to make sure his son got the rub? That's all i can think of.
It was some of that. Also, David and his older sister grew up in Minnesota with Ric’s first ex-wife. So Ric wasn’t a regular presence in David’s life and felt a certain need to make up for that absence. Hence, he tried to help David launch a pro wrestling career.
Ric claims that he told David he wasn't ready for prime time, but they offered him a ton of money and he really wanted to do it, so Ric just tried to protect him as much as he could.
Man....Bryan treats Craig like trash. And Craig actually was funny these episodes. I couldn't work for that narcissistic psycho. I come for the interplay between the three, not to hear all-wise Alvarez when he's forgotten the Midol.
