0:24 As Optimus Prime ascends Into the heavens, WheelJack flies alongside, and somehow makes it to the heavens before Prime does. And all those who witnessed WheelJack’s ascension were truly blessed.
'Cause we got a little convoy Rockin' through the night. Yeah, we got a little convoy, Ain't she a beautiful sight? Come on and join our convoy Ain't nothin' gonna get in our way. We gonna roll this truckin' convoy 'Cross the U-S-A. Convoy!
Actually, in the movie, though it shows Wheeljack being deactivated, it was actually supposed to be Smokescreen who got killed. The animators screwed up basically. Even in the storyboards it shows Smokescreen beside Windcharger dead as well.
The Music itself did actually came from Real Life orchestra being edited (or re arranged and played locally by any Japanese Symphony band for commercial lenght) The actual name of the song is 'They Went Thatta Way' The works of The Keith Papworth Orchestra', Album 'Way Out West'. Too bad only vinyl records did exists. I'm not sure if there's CD Transfer as well. This is a song composed by British, with Wildwest Hollywood flavor. The actual lenght is 02.17 minutes.
Try looking up Bandai or Takatoku Macross Valkyrie toys here or on the Internet, and see what their instructions, pictures, or reviews have to say. G1 Jetfire was a repaint (possible retool? I'm not sure) of a Takatoku (later Bandai) Super VF-1S toy from Super Dimension Fortress Macross.
Diaclone Battle Convoy is one of my top favourite Diaclone Car Robots and I'm so lucky that I bought it last June and I'm also going to keep an eye out for another Diaclone Battle Convoy real soon altought they are hard to find and hard to get a hold of. Great Video.
The toy had a bumper sticker that read, "BC keeps Diaclone Trukin!" The transformers also never described the various other modes Optimus and others had. I showed a guy the other day how the robot could extend through the top of the trailer. He had the toy over 20 years and always wondered what that hole was for.
Battle Convoy had them practicing their "Pass Traffic on Left in Formation" maneuver, just to keep their skills fresh. Like in any anime, they had to give it an official name.
@Skor76 yeah makes you think a lot... but hasbro only licensed transformers as a cartoons and japan already released the toys before the show... think of it as additional advertising media for the toy industry
Takara originally intended Diaclone to be falls into REAL ROBOT category, However it is Budaski that alters the concept. making them Super Robots.... With "American Super Hero" elements. that's why all Transformers are a fully sentient lifeform instead of being crewed like Japanese 'bots.
I found out that Optimus Prime transforms into a Freightliner 202 truck and I've seen the CGI Video of it. I'm heading over to Japan in the near future and buy 2 Diaclone Battle Convoy and 3 Diaclone Powered Convoy (brand new and sealed) because they're very rare and hard to find anywhere in the west so the best place is to buy Diaclone Battle Convoy and DIaclone Powered Convoy is from Japan and not just the internet, right?

!? 😂
Back when TF's were mecha with pilots...
They tried that again in the Masterforce anime.
@@Supertron1 Yeah, except the pilots became the heads and engines of the mechs.
Perks of being a Japanese robot. Being able to fly. Hell yeah..
It's amazing how far the Transformers have come. IT won't be long until they're inducted into the Smithsonian Museum.
Megatron left the group
0:00 Megatron's worst nightmare
5 primes real
Japanese stop-motion commercials are so awesome. So creative and light years better than the shit hasbro put on tv to advertise the g1 toys in the us.
in "More Than Meets the Eye" episode. everyone can fly in robot mode :P as they've been depiched in Diaclone advertisements
Yes
This commercial is funny because you see other diaclone figures wich became other autobots as well as battle convoy who bacame their leader
And he is thee leader of the Diaclone robots
'Cause we got a Battle Convoy, rockin' through the night...
I like to imagine Ironhide speaking the verses of that poem-song.
"Mercy, sake's alive, Optimus. Looks like we got us a little...Battle Convoy!"
And there, is when Optimus Prime or Convoy, was born
Oh well...Let's pretend that Diaclone's Wheeljack still serves its mission to repel aliens...
'Cause we got a little convoy
Rockin' through the night.
Yeah, we got a little convoy,
Ain't she a beautiful sight?
Come on and join our convoy
Ain't nothin' gonna get in our way.
We gonna roll this truckin' convoy
'Cross the U-S-A.
Convoy!
optimus prime was once an army building fig
Possible it could he was meant to be a mass-production mecha back then.
0:24 wheeljack flying lol
Actually, in the movie, though it shows Wheeljack being deactivated, it was actually supposed to be Smokescreen who got killed. The animators screwed up basically. Even in the storyboards it shows Smokescreen beside Windcharger dead as well.
so That's why Wheeljack was present in Transformers Victory
バトルコンボイの登場で カーロボットの世界に変わる。
(Battle Convoy makes an appearance that changes the world of Car Robot.)
Wheeljack could fly, with solid-fuel boosters in his arms. I like to think Marvel wrote that into his bio purely because of this advert :)

Maybe the flight abilities displayed in Diaclone were why the Autobots flew in the pilot.
This commercial is Awesome!
I watched this on youtube in 08 and cracked up when wheeljack flew by
holy shit 5 primes!!!!!!!! megatron's screwed

That looked like wheeljack and sideswipe inside convoy/ optimus prime
Wheeljack flying? Damn those writers that killed him in the first movie!
Yeah, I read that years ago when the Transformers movie was released.

outstanding
its intersting about the diaclone toys that some of the robots don't have names back then and they came with tiny figures
The toy had a bumper sticker that read, "BC keeps Diaclone Trukin!"
The transformers also never described the various other modes Optimus and others had. I showed a guy the other day how the robot could extend through the top of the trailer. He had the toy over 20 years and always wondered what that hole was for.
They showed that in one episode. But you're right that his accessories were terribly underused overall in the show.
@KiraBlackwater It was on his box, too. He demonstrated it a number of times in the cartoon.
これがのちにオプティマスプライムになるのですね!
So they're in the American deserts around Utah or Nevada, but they're driving on the wrong side of the road?
Note also the setting resembles where most of the g1 episodes were main placed
@@prowlusWhich is especially weird since I'm pretty sure this predates the cartoon.

It feels so surreal
Oh, don't worry, the Japanese animators didn't get that memo, and so you suddenly see him again in their later G1 cartoons! =D
Takara originally intended Diaclone to be falls into REAL ROBOT category, However it is Budaski that alters the concept. making them Super Robots....

Battle Convoy looks A LOT like G1 Optimus.

In Japan. Optimus Prime is named 'Convoy' (Before 2007 movie. and sometimes, some 'Primes' released there after that)
