I was by my dads side when he passed. He was my best friend as well. I know he is with me everyday. He always picked up change when he seen it laying on the ground. We would say dad it’s just a penny and he would respond just 99 more and I got a dollar. After he passed one day I walked past a penny on the ground and it felt like somebody grabbed my shirt. I laughed and said ok dad I got it and to this day I never pass up a coin. He called it his lucky money and when he passed we put some in his pocket. Truly do have pennies from Heaven now cause it’s dads.

My Mom died Christmas day 2019. At least before covid because she was in a nursing home. She loved Conway Twitty. Be strong because it gets better. My heart hurts as I watch your videos. The amount of love you have for your Dad is absolutely infectious. They say the more you love someone the more grief you will feel when they are gone. The fact that I still have both my incredible parents is something I'm learning not to take lightly. I treasure every day I get to spend with them. I'm taking a fishing trip with my Dad this week and I am excited to spend that time with him. Because of a TBI I suffered I've struggled with memory and feel like I can't make new memories so I really hope and pray that someday I will be able to remember this trip and look back with fondness for the time I got to spend with my Dad.

We both were crying cause she realized she was dying (complications from a stroke) as she was on hospice an i got the honor to care for her for 4mnth till her last breath. I love country music because they either fully write all their own songs or they’re heavily involved with writing the song & they’re storytellers so no matter what you’re going through in life, you’ll always find so many songs that relate. At the end of the day, we’re never alone in our struggles… you can always find someone going through the same thing. Music in general has literally saved so, so many lives… In my life I’ve heard so many people whether on tv, in magazines or in my everyday life talk about how they heard a certain song or someone’s music or just music itself & it got them through things, helped with their problems, influenced them to do something, made them realize something they hadn’t, helped them with something they didn’t even know they needed help with, supported them, taught them, helped them teach others something, all the way down to actually saving their life. I love music, I’m & R&B person usually but I listen to/have listened to a lot of different genres. I used music to teach my daughters lessons about life, death, heaven, faith, respect, strength, relationships, love, loss, suffering, struggle, success, healing, family, pain, people, wrong, right, themselves, God, helping, caring, friends, never giving up, weakness & so many amazing other things & I find that it works better than any other method out there, it does take a village to raise children the right way. Hey rick, I had a grandpa that watched all of us grandkids growing up every Saturday. Unfortunately he was a heavy drinker. He lost his job and was homless got into drug abuse and passed away about 2 years ago. He told us he didnt want us at the funeral on his death bed hardest thing ive heard but he told us that he didnt wanna see us hurt because he had always wanted us to be happy. It’s different without him. Saturday is lonely.

We weren't close when i was a kid. I drove that man insane with my antics. But we've mangaed to forget all the craziness and have become closer than either of us expected. His issues are the reason he can't be here right now. If he had the ability and the energy, he certainly would be here. Condolences to you, young buck. I know how you feel this song gets me everytime I hear it. Cause of losing my dad December 2nd and my mom December 23rd both 2016. And I'm still grieving over losing them. I don't know if you caught it but at the beginning of the video the date was July 13,2013 and the date of death on his dad's tombstone was September 2nd,2013. When in the video Cole walks up to the grave that reaction he had was real that was his first time visiting the grave and those guys who were at the grave hugging him were his brothers.
It was 7/13/13 when we hear him call his dad to let him know he signed a record label. His dad was a mechanic and from what I understand there was a mishap and the vehicle he was on fell or slipped and it killed him. Cole never got to enjoy his dad watch him make it big. Three years ago my mom was so excited to be moving back from Mississippi where we live! My kids are 24, 20 and 9. She missed out on a lot with the older grandkids and was so excited to move back and be the “grandma down the street.” I never got to see her be the grandma that lives close…she had a botched cardiac catheterization and died the week she was supposed to move. This one hits me hard every time. Your loss is still so fresh. I won’t tell you it’ll get better. The pain remains but it gets easier to live with. Keep doing what you are doing and know you are making your dad proud!

I lost my beautiful momma to cancer 11/11/2011. I was a sobbing mess the first time I heard this song. I wish people would stop telling everyone that "it gets better with time." No it doesn't. You just get use to the pain of them being gone, but it still hurts just as much. It will move from the forefront of your mind to the back, but the stupidest thing will bring it back to the front. Seeing something in a store that they would like can leave you battling tears in the middle of Walmart.

There is nothing like the loss of yout parents. My Dad died on my birthday it will be 21 years. He is always on my mind. When I hear almost home it still makes a tear come. My Mom died Christmas day 2019. At least before covid because she was in a nursing home. She loved Conway Twitty. Be strong because it gets better. But they are on my mind and in my heart all the time.

Sorry to hear about your father. I just lost my grandma a couple weeks ago. I didn't really know her but I remembered her as a kid. I'm 47 years old now. I cried when I leaned down at her grave and told her I was so sorry I didn't make a better effort to be around more. It's a country song but it really hits me. Its called the tears coming from the floors of heaven. Think of your father when it rains. He misses you just like you miss him. God Bless man. Keep your head up.

The fact that I still have both my incredible parents is something I'm learning not to take lightly. I treasure every day I get to spend with them. I'm taking a fishing trip with my Dad this week and I am excited to spend that time with him. Because of a TBI I suffered I've struggled with memory and feel like I can't make new memories so I really hope and pray that someday I will be able to remember this trip and look back with fondness for the time I got to spend with my Dad.

My mama passed 8-17-22 an I sang this song to my mama 4days before she past as i was holding her an singing this song to her. We both were crying cause she realized she was dying (complications from a stroke) as she was on hospice an i got the honor to care for her for 4mnth till her last breath. I will never regret being her caregiver. 8mnth later i lost my dad 5-4-23 from stage 4 copd. I had pleasure an honor to be both their caretakers till the very end.

I love country music because they either fully write all their own songs or they’re heavily involved with writing the song & they’re storytellers so no matter what you’re going through in life, you’ll always find so many songs that relate. At the end of the day, we’re never alone in our struggles… you can always find someone going through the same thing. Music in general has literally saved so, so many lives… In my life I’ve heard so many people whether on tv, in magazines or in my everyday life talk about how they heard a certain song or someone’s music or just music itself & it got them through things, helped with their problems, influenced them to do something, made them realize something they hadn’t, helped them with something they didn’t even know they needed help with, supported them, taught them, helped them teach others something, all the way down to actually saving their life. I love music, I’m & R&B person usually but I listen to/have listened to a lot of different genres. I used music to teach my daughters lessons about life, death, heaven, faith, respect, strength, relationships, love, loss, suffering, struggle, success, healing, family, pain, people, wrong, right, themselves, God, helping, caring, friends, never giving up, weakness & so many amazing other things & I find that it works better than any other method out there, it does take a village to raise children the right way. I know music played a major part in my life growing up & got me through so much. I wouldn’t be who I am today without a lot of different music. Hey rick, I had a grandpa that watched all of us grandkids growing up every Saturday. Unfortunately he was a heavy drinker. He lost his job and was homless got into drug abuse and passed away about 2 years ago. He told us he didnt want us at the funeral on his death bed hardest thing ive heard but he told us that he didnt wanna see us hurt because he had always wanted us to be happy. It’s different without him. Saturday is lonely.

I still have my dad, but for how much longer, i dont know as he is going through some serious medical issues right now. He is 76 and calls me once a month, out of the blue, just to talk. We weren't close when i was a kid. I drove that man insane with my antics. But we've mangaed to forget all the craziness and have become closer than either of us expected. His issues are the reason he can't be here right now. If he had the ability and the energy, he certainly would be here. Condolences to you, young buck. I know how you feel this song gets me everytime I hear it. Cause of losing my dad December 2nd and my mom December 23rd both 2016. And I'm still grieving over losing them. I don't know if you caught it but at the beginning of the video the date was July 13,2013 and the date of death on his dad's tombstone was September 2nd,2013. When in the video Cole walks up to the grave that reaction he had was real that was his first time visiting the grave and those guys who were at the grave hugging him were his brothers.

It was 7/13/13 when we hear him call his dad to let him know he signed a record label. His dad was a mechanic and from what I understand there was a mishap and the vehicle he was on fell or slipped and it killed him. Cole never got to enjoy his dad watch him make it big. Three years ago my mom was so excited to be moving back from Mississippi where we live! My kids are 24, 20 and 9. She missed out on a lot with the older grandkids and was so excited to move back and be the “grandma down the street.” I never got to see her be the grandma that lives close…she had a botched cardiac catheterization and died the week she was supposed to move. This one hits me hard every time. Your loss is still so fresh. I won’t tell you it’ll get better. The pain remains but it gets easier to live with. Keep doing what you are doing and know you are making your dad proud!
