BTW, the reason my photos look so dark and gray is that these are RAW files but also that I always under expose my shots to protect the highlights. It's much easier to lift the shadows then trying to save blown out highlights :)
But why not ETTR to get all the light to hit the sensor instead? With underexposing you are not using what the sensor is capable of and you can easily edit the photos since you’re not overexposing but you only ETTR.
@@laposport7489 yea makes sense, but I'm usually going handheld and run and gun, so being super precise is hard since the moment passes away in a heartbeat.
It's also not like I underexpose a lot, not even a full stop. Now the times I use a tripod and I have a full vision of what I want, then slowing down, going full manual and thinking about things like ettr, even bracketing and shit is good. :)
Hope this explains my thought process.
Love how the beard matches the beanie!
Hahah that was the intention 😂
I have been waiting for such a tutorial for a while. Thanks for sharing
Trying to get out one Lightroom tutorial a month now :)
The adorable accent makes it even more fun and interesting to watch.
Excellent, thank you
Using Masks has been a game changer for me. It has taken my photo editing game to the next level. I also use them first in my workflow as it gives a solid base for the rest of my workflow. Great Video, very helpful!
Wow!!! So helpful 🙃
Your sound is amazing I am a audio engineer and I can tell you it’s EQ’d good
A I right in thinking that the area you mask is the area that you then edit? Sorry for the newbie question, I'm learning to use LR & PS.
okay where the heck do I get your photos to follow along??
Well I smacked that like button 😉
Thanks Linus!
But, the last edit is not the same as the one of the walktrough. There is more contrast, more saturations and some others masks i think (ie. the windows on the left). Right?
Do you use a Ben Q computer monitor?
Yea!
First 😉
my main man!
Great video especially if you are learning. I've noticed a few people including yourself that don't let the viewer know what LR they are using as the layout is very different in LR vs LRc. Also am I the only one thinking the whole time on how long you had to look to find a beanie the exact color of your beard??? lol
Gorgeous pic
Hahah yea I saw that beanie and had to buy it lol 😂 . It’s in the thumbnail the LrC logo, for
Me I think off lrc as lr lol but you are right I should maybe mention that
@@thaticelandicguy wasn't trying to be critical but I notice quite a few that don't specifically say it and if someone is new they might not know the difference is all.
@@darksideemt ah I got you, great point! Thank you :)
why does the new Adobe Lightroom User INterface look so ugly like a windows 95 application? didn`t it look pretty good in a version a few years ago?
Hai bro..👋 have you seen joker 2019 movie..! Can you show me how to color grade a normal image like in that film..?
I hope that the videos you are doing will be useful to many people..🤗
Hey man aren’t there any tutorials on it?
Sorry Bro I don't
Understand! Just
Clarify😊
My approach to lightroom:
- slide it until is good
- slide it more because it is soo cool
- wow, I slide something else, and it is even more good!
- DEHAZE OMG
- ok, too far. Let’s go back to reality
hahahaha yea that's it in a nutshell 😂
Why do photographers keep calling 'Lightroom Classic' 'Lightroom'? Yes, I know, it used to be called Lightroom, but it's not anymore, so can you please change the title so people like me can find tutorials on Lightroom?
Why is every video made for someone who never used Lightroom?
Idk, just how I started to make them, you want me to make them more advanced in the future?
@@thaticelandicguy I'd love that! At least some.
Will do it’s just a style of doing these I’ve adapted, good for the beginner me but ofc can get boring for us that know our way around the app ☺️
Next one won’t be this simple explanation
I have an important question.
Sony A7 IV has added an update to ver. 3.00
The question is whether this version supports RAW files from Sony.
Lots of pastries and complaints about their decrees.
Does anyone have this camera and LRm in the new version?
Amazing video as always, i only use LR mobile tho so it was a bit tricky to edit like you 🫠
hahah I guess I will have to make a video on LR mobile then
@@thaticelandicguy it isn't mandatory, it just looken a bit different ths the mobile app 😂
