This was my favorite tank of the show as well! Would have been nice to have enjoyed it the way you did, (less people) over 3,000 people packed in there while I was visiting!
@@dylanspargo8993 When I first saw the aquarium I had initially thought that it might have a circular current, encouraging the tetras to school around the way they were, but that wasn't the case at all.

Neon Tetras are that kind of fish that will never get old in the aquarium business. There's a good reason why they are so popular. They look good in any aquascape and They always give a feel of dynamic and life to the aquarium.
I've seen some nice neon schools before, but never like that! The circular tank creates an amazing environment and I love the way it's decorated only in the center.
It offers a 360° viewing experience. Best as a centerpiece. Circular tanks also encourage this schooling and shoaling behavior especially when it is decorated at the center.
Neons have always been my absolute favorite fish, ever since I was a little girl. My Sheema ( mom) raised tropical fish (She loves Guppy's and Mollies) but she always got Neons for me. Thank You for sharing this, it's so beautiful!!
After see this video I start thinking that round tank is the best for tetras. They more life and non stop moving. The goal to have schooling fish is the school movement and this round tank achieve that the most.
I've had some luck with my rectangular 75 gallon ..with a school of 16 neon tetras..I had a Waterfall filter pump drop water in the back center of the tank so it helped steer them in that direction

Triggered Npc they’re great as well! I just enjoy the diversity of Alex’s videos and versatility of recording in different settings while still maintaining quality a bit more personally. Greenmachine is such a relaxing channel with amazing production as well don’t get me wrong
It's definitely one of the best out there. Cinescaper does some cool shots too, but I feel he's too focused on effects. That said, his productions are right up there too!
I was told at least medium density of plants in the tank and they have to be protected against to much light. It seems that the tetras in this kind of environment also are doing very well.
Many moons ago I set up in the summer here in the bay area a 10', 2' deep,and round of course pool. I put in Tinfoil barbs,red hooks and with a really strong pond pump the water was like a river..and those fish loved it. 2" barbs in April became 6-7" barbs by October. I covered the pond with plastic and painted the outside black. Kept it at 80f (more or less) all spring and summer.
Fish store: we have a variety of different tetras, our neons are the most popular. Tank Tested: I’LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK! *repeats this for 20 different stores*
@@aithi2694 planted tank and saltwater here, of all those selections, mini brittle stars are the only one I want. Seahorses are sensitive divas, clown fish are not my cup of tea (same with gold fish). I'll take a microgoby instead. Just one. My tank is too small for more.
Truly beautiful and great design. I had similar tank (but standard rectangular). I used cardinal tetra, the natural colour German Blue Rams, and also some Panda Corys and a pair of lace gourami. Also I used dark brown sand, which made the fish colours show up more. This video has inspired me to take up the fish keeping hobby again!!! Thanks.
How many gallons did you use for them in a tank? I'd like to have a community tank like yours: choosing between cardinal and rummy nose tetra, panda corys, between honey gourami or betta, and hillstream loach I'm still searching and learning so I can give the best living environment for them as well to prepare their foods and other needs. Hope you can help and give me an advise regarding about the fishes that I've chosen for extra info. I'd appreciate it very much!!

This tank is so beautiful! Neon tetras are such a gorgeous fish in schools, a bit underrated I think. Cardinals, embers, and rummy-nose are my favorites so far.

@@louisasmiles It's just a matter of prederence, to be honest. I always loved the german blues over the golds or the elctric blue varieties :) but you do make a valid point there!
@@barbatanas7679 I think the soft yellow causes both to stand out in their own right. Neither is lost or takes away from the other, your eyes are drawn to both. But you're right, it's personal preference....
this for me is the best and most enjoyable aquarium you've made. because of the diy build and how dynamic it is and would love it if there were more of these kind made.
@Battle Tank My Neon Tetra is thriving! I bought 10 and another 5, they are all adult now. You definitely need a good water quality. Add some hang-on-back filter, that'll help with overfeeding. Also buy the smaller ones, I bought mine when they were the size of my finger nail, seems to adapt better.
Oh yeah, they're quite happy... over all because the fact that they are being condemned to spin around without stop all time in a crowded tank. R u dumb? If I was one of those fishes I would simply have suicidal thoughs.
I really want a tank like this in my house so beautiful. I currently only have a 10 gallon tank with neon tetras and I’ve been doing it for about a year now. I’m trying to learn more about them and get more experience and work my way up to something like this one day.
ValTube it will because the angelfish winter be able to overpower the neon tetras. They will mind their own business. And actually, on a study that was down, the angelfish would easy get dizzy!
I seen this in person ...holy shmokes.. and this is just the little 360 degree tank...theres one further to the left and a giant one in the back with absolutly amazing fish and more in it. My kids loved just walking around
I think that the centerpiece should have been put on a lazy Susan so that the water current would be slowly turning it! Hey just remember when you start to see this idea utilized in the future you heard it here first!

The tank was for aquashella and has since been taken down and moved to the fish gallery in the Woodlands, TX with no fish at the moment. The stand is exposed tho so maybe he got some footage

@@asuraaoki1925 Lol, I also wondered; do they ever change direction, or do they just go with the direction of flow from the filter output. We are just not accustomed to seeing a school of tetras this large. It would be so interesting to be able to observe them over time.

Neon's are Hardy to keep alive I think. I have heard that the black neons are bullet proof a d the cardinal tetras are Hardy .
It was so cool to see this tank in person at Aquashella! It has reignited my love of the basic neon tetra.

This is the most beautiful aquarium that I have ever seen. The neons in combination with the ramirezis (guess electric blue?) is amazing!!!

You should get more. Neon trtras should be kept in school of at least 6 but I would recommend 10 or more.

I had three for the longest time but I moved them into a new tank and they didn't do to well. The other fish survived. Guess they were too weak 🤷

@@amrutpat12 Oh chill out lol , the neon tetras did anything but even realize what was on the phone 😂 but on the other side of things. You should have more than 4 neons , maybe add atleast 2 or 3 more depending on tank size

The tank was for aquashella and has since been taken down and moved to the fish gallery in the Woodlands, TX with no fish at the moment. The stand is exposed tho so maybe he got some footage

dannette peters When the lights go out they probably swim lower in the tank and less actively as their rest lol, but it would be amazing to see them all stop swimming and just hang around.
@@asuraaoki1925 Lol, I also wondered; do they ever change direction, or do they just go with the direction of flow from the filter output. We are just not accustomed to seeing a school of tetras this large. It would be so interesting to be able to observe them over time.
