UNDERSTOOD this session. As usual short, direct and effective. But a doubt mam, i was comparing with implicit intent data property. In case of Implicit intent, user permission was not required in manifest file. But here we had to give for webview parameter to access the site. What is the rationale? Could you please clarify. Related to use case other than to display content of a website i am not able to think of anything else. May be i will have to look into some articles in net. Advantage i see is, if content in website is changed, no need to release new version of app.

I was thinking same, didn’t research but here is my take : in implicit intent, when we open something that is with help of another app, in reality we either use chrome or any other browser BUT in webview we open up website from our own app so internet permission is must. Bt definition also, implicit intent is about opening up new screen of other app so permission etc of that app wil be used
When I set safebrowsing true then my app is not running showing aap not running , app keep stopping And in the console it showing error Android runtime fatal exceptions

i created the webview but my app screen was showing limited content and i was not able to scroll down and view more content of the site why so?
