I know that I am way above the intended audience age for this but these stories still bring me so much joy. I hope to one day be able to tell my children these tales :)
These are only for beings 0-6000 years old. Anyone who has firsthand accounts of these events tends to be very specific about facts and are not the intended audience.

Most of these tales seem to randomly escalate when you think you've figured out where they're going but the king kitty one seemed to be the complete the opposite. No twist or turns just a cat called himself a king and he got free stuff, the end.
In the Green Peter story, his sister just disappeared once he accepted the king's challenge. She just was gone from the story, she doesn't even appear at the wedding at the end.
The second story, Salt princess, maybe I am over thinking it, but the first daughter said she loves her father as dove loves good grain - like you provide me with good food, you are a source of commodity for me. The second daughter did a similar thing, like hot day loves a breeze, again a source of leisure and commodity. But the third daughter said she loves her father as people love salt because the fact is, we can not live without salt. We must eat it. It is not just about the taste, but actual Na, Cl we get from it.
Also the second daughter isn't love, a person may love a cool breeze on a hot summers day, But the last thing a hot summers day itself would love would be a cool breeze. In a way the second daughter straight up said I hate you dad
in the pussycat princess story, if you pause at 41:09, when she rubs herself against him, you can see the prince smile right before jumping up all flustered. i love that attention to detail
The 'pork pudding' is just a fun version of various 'gluttonous monster' myths present in various mythologies across Eurasia. The assumed origin of the story is a myth about the wolf (Lupus) constellation which spread across various cultures.
A variation of this story has existed in every European country long before the story was first written in England in 1630s, with some historians dating it back as far as 4500 BC to 2500 BC though not specifically to Hungary
i remember when this still was airing on minimax in the early 2010s, its such a shame its not on there anymore, i remember telling my mom to hurry home when she came picking me up from kindergarten so i wouldn't miss this cartoon
What's amazing about this series is it wasn't dubbed until 2017 and the series ran from 1980 to 2012. That means a new episode would have been released roughly every 3 months I believe.
huge fan of this channel , continuously watching this from last 1 year but most interesting this is that when 2 weeks back i went to Ruin bar in Budapest and this Hungarian folk tales series were played on the wall of the bar …. i was so happy to this 😊n
2:27 this scene reminds me of that one croatian (i think haha) story "Ježeva kućica" (hedgehogs home) when the fox invites the hedgehog on lunch ...its random but reminds me of it 🤭
Not much to do when you already uploaded all of the folktales. Props to the guys running this channel for making them into long videos to watch when you have nothing else to do
The main character is usually a Sun archetype. For agricultural people the Sun was the hero in myths and most these folk tales are derived from myths. Blondness is purely a reference to the Sun. All these tales are full of symbolism.
As an adult who's suffering from insomnia, I just watch their clips and fall asleep quickly. Thanks a lot! 💖
I know right?
I listen to these with my 3 boys..21, 20, and 18. My 2nd son who is diagnosed with autism, would fall asleep listening to these.
Me too 😊
I suffer from anxiety, and it flares up at night , the story tellers voice is so soothing
@@redlady120i also have autism, calm storytelling helps a ton indeed
Im having a bout with Insomnia and im almost sle... 💤

Originally folk/fairytales were solely intended for adults during the work day. People would share these during their work in fields to pass the time.
I love listening to these stories.
I do too even though half of them don't make sense
me too
True. Are you still listening to these?
I love the music and animation of these folk tales. I used to watch these when I was a child and still vividly remember them.

Pretty accurate. Cats come into your life and make you their servant. 🤷♀️
Love these. Makes me feel weirdly nostalgic even though I didn't really grow up with these lol
You never get tired of hearing or reading classic fairy tales. Thanks for sharing!
In the Green Peter story, his sister just disappeared once he accepted the king's challenge. She just was gone from the story, she doesn't even appear at the wedding at the end.
likely that part is lost
He just left baby sis outside the castle gates! Selfish guy
People got lost in the sauce often when they told these stories at the time they began to circulate
The king didn't know which daughter he should give his best kingdom to but you can guess it's going to go to the blonde one 🤣
The second story, Salt princess, maybe I am over thinking it, but the first daughter said she loves her father as dove loves good grain - like you provide me with good food, you are a source of commodity for me. She should have told him "I love you father, as much as you love playing mindgames with your children"
Exactly.
Salt was used for preserving food, wounds, and everyday uses.
Its more like a "i love u so much, i cant simply live without u"
Also the second daughter isn't love, a person may love a cool breeze on a hot summers day, But the last thing a hot summers day itself would love would be a cool breeze. In a way the second daughter straight up said I hate you dad

I listen to these videos to go to sleep. The narrator's voice combined with the music is so soothing.
The pork pudding is quite a strange tale.
Ikr and like the first girl turned into a freaking *bell!* 🤪
When it ate the pigs too,, is that not cannibalism xD
Wei Rung Tseng It got hungry.
I never knew your dinner could eat you

literally i have been listening to these stories since 2018, thank you broski :{
Return of the king
So Jack and the Beanstalk came from Hungary! I'm happy to hear the original story after all these years.

Let's be honest, if cats could talk, they'd be saying the same thing to humans. Heck, kitty supremacy would be a thing.
The narration is impressive
OUR KING IS BACK!!!
Lol those guards receiving the strokes XD being greedy gets you nowhere.

Yea, what I mean by it is, they were finding all of season 1’s video’s and it took way longer then they thought it would be

I listen to these when I sleep :3
YAAAAAS you're back ♡♡
These are timeless, and I dare say important.
The story of the walnut made me feel bad for vegan food
THEY ARE BACK!
Healthy knowledge from stories. Very goody kids to child.
That king sounded quite salty. I don't see what he was so mad about.
Love these stories:
used to watch this as a child while living in the czech republic pure nostalgia
We were maybe the last generation to hear old tales as a norm in the 80's.

Yeah either blond or the youngest sibling for most of these stories. There are some that have brunettes that are an older sibling
