My Experience: The Worst People in Honkai Star Rail

- Recently I've been falsely attacked in public behind my back by another creator and it has exhausted me overall. I'm going to be sharing my personal experience on the worst people I have come across so far in the Honkai: Star Rail content creation space. I'm also sharing my secret, that have I kept quiet about for 4 months, on having my content plagiarized and stolen without any credits. Why? Like I mentioned, I was harassed recently, and that was the trigger. I will share my experience and I will be connecting everything together in the climax in order to expose the hypocrisy & thievery of these creators.
For clarity, I'm not claiming that Artumbo "stole" or "yoinked & twist" the strategy (i.e. I can't lay claim to owning the path of remembrance or what teams he uses), but instead I am claiming that he plagiarized and copied my guide (as seen by evidence of him copying word for word on certain things I said, as well as all the smaller things like teams, relic strategy, etc. that all accumulate together). Of course, nothing is ever black or white, there's always severity to it. "There's always levels to this ...." - Biggie

I apologize to @Tectone if me using his image as a comedic relief insulted him or anyone else. I did not mean to make him look bad in any way, shape, or form. I sincerely apologize and I would like to say that I respect what he has done & is still doing for the community as well as the legacy he has created in supporting content creators. As for GuobaCertified, the issue that I had with him was definitely the feeling of him falsely accusing me in public of taking someone else's video even though I heavily credited Nak, Nak approved of it, and I mixed my own take on it. (He has admitted this in his apology, stating that it wasn't his business at all, and that he should've never said what he said since Nak & I were fine)
While he knows Artumbo well, I cannot blame only him for overlooking Artumbo's blatant plagiarism, as I am to blame as well for being a coward and never speaking up even though I had the most incriminating evidence. It was my battle to fight, but I was a coward.
Instead of being apologetic for talking behind my back even after I told him my experience with plagiarism, it felt like Guoba just saw everything as a joke. So yeah, I stopped replying and decided: that's it, if he's gonna publicly attack me behind my back for no reason, that's a fair reason for me to make a public video revealing everything because now I need to defend myself from being falsely accused of plagiarism since Guoba did not take it seriously.
As you can see, plagiarism is NOT something to take lightly, it's career ending. So being accused of it is not a joke.
FINALLY:
Guoba has since apologized and fully owns up for his mistakes. From my view, he handled it really well, he took the responsibility and did not deflect the blame.
Even when others downplayed his mistakes, he said no, he was in the wrong and even tried to empathize by seeing it from my POV. I really respect that and it has definitely shown me that he is not trying to make excuses.
HOWEVER, words are shallow and only time can determine the authenticity of what he said. So while I do accept his apology at face value, he still has to prove to time that he has learned from this, matured, and has gotten better.
"Don't apologize, do better" is a common proverb that tells us how apologies are just a formal courtesy (i.e. "you're welcome" after someone says "thank you") that we all of course have to say when making mistakes, but the part that truly matters is the "do better". So godspeed to you, Guoba.

Overall, I do not regret making the video as I feel that it has set a good stance on Plagiarism in the Honkai: Star Rail content creation space.
Also a big shoutout to @nakfr0g for being a real gigachad throughout all of this. Please subscribe to him, he makes the most amazing guides and will definitely be a staple in this space in the coming days.

Nevertheless, I'm convinced that they both don't feel sorry. They've apologized just because they were forced to. Otherwise it'll be a massive strike on their reputation so apologies merely prevented all possible waves of hate approaching at them. That's how I see the situation.

Lmao seeing Artumbo repeat the misinformation was the icing on the cake. Good video and keep doing what you're doing, appreciate your guides a lot. Sucks that you had to deal with these two dorks.
Yep, that was truly the nail in the coffin. Without that one piece, it would look like this guy was laying claim to the entire strategy in the exact way Nak didn't want to do. Making this about the details, notably the ones that could only realistically come from one place, was great for clarity and really made it clear just how many lines this dude crossed. Gotta say that was some great work digging that up, that statement alone carries a lot of weight and makes the rest of the video work. And this is from a Guoba fan who still thinks Gacha Smack is a fucking idiot after recently going on record saying Ruan Mei would powercreep the shit out of Bronya, if even I can see the issue here then I don't think there are many who can't.
I was watching Artumbo's twitch recently.. i ASSUMED he had saw the Captialism strat for GnG ... However, in the full VOD, he still hasnt mentioned how he got the strat.

Alot of EN vids are copied from CN, viewers who knows chinese like myself knows, some of them did credit the original author I guess it's all alright, but I think EN creators rlly need to do better in terms of quality and knowledge

Im a very small CC like you, but i've been here since Genshin Early Days. My content are just showcases without any commentary and im telling you, these kind of things became normals for me that i wont even bother to it anymore.
In Genshin Days, i made some team comp showcase that got a lot of views (100k-200k+) then few days later, ppl that so called "Theorycrafters" made a full guide about that comp and even "NAME" them as if they are the one who originally made the comp, got a lot of views, subscribers and popularity from it.
So im not surprised these kind of "Theorycrafter" ppl is appearing again in HSR.
The most annoying part of them all, when their viewers think all of their TC opinion is 100% true and original. They swarming your comment section with "According to bla bla bla (their TC), this is not bla bla bla". I mean, who cares man? we got our own opinion and our own playstyle and if i somehow doing wrong, you dont need to mention other CC, its really annoying.
Honestly, thanks for making this. Didn't realize Guoba was like this behind the scenes. Says he's not into drama but really that's just so he can maintain his image.

To be fair we only have four preservation units so theres not much team variety, not defending artumbo, just clarifying

@@outlet445 the plagiarism was for the freezing strategy , the team wasn't all preservation, it had herta, march , natasha and pela , and all have better replacements like gepard , jingliu , loucha,lynx. Strategy just needed ice characters, actually I ran this strategy a lot with just march and it works , many blessings in the rememberance path freezes enemies so you wouldn't even need ice characters..... so really artumbo could've easily used other characters , if it's about the capitalism video then honestly preservation path wasn't needed at all, any path would've worked , the idea was to buy all the blessings and curios out there so really any path with all of its blessings in place is cracked , for example elation , elation with lynx, topaz , Clara and march is top tier , also not many ever think to challenge su high difficulty with a team all preservation, that's in itself is a giveaway
@@sevenyou Tbf beside jing liu, march pela and herta is the best for rememberance for their aoe atk, can easily apply dissociation and remove it. Jingliu and lynx doesnt even exist at the time. Nata is like the only "free" healer that people would have, so if its for content its understandable. For the path, its arguable, people can reinvent things even he came up with similar strats when he didn't even know/watch the CN guy before. (I do think that zmm is one of the people that kickstart the popularity of rememberance cheese strats tho). So yeah if its just that I would've given benefit of a doubt, But bro didn't stopped there lol. That guy fucked up XD and yea the recent vids also sus, he chose to follow it and be as specific as possible instead of like mixing it up lol.

I was hesitant to watch this video because I thought it was just going to be clout sharking and looking for drama, but actually the receipts provided here are pretty telling. When he repeated your line about the enemies totally resisting crowd control VERBATIM I laughed because of how blatant it was. Then I just audibly cringed when you pointed out Guoba foaming at the mouth to call out content thieves but appears to be totally fine with it if it's his friend doing it.
I hope you can enjoy making videos again. Your no-pull videos are some of (if not) the best HSR videos on RUclips. And more importantly, I hope the creators you mention can grow out if this sort of thing.

I dont know what to feel about this. Ive watched plenty of videos from said CCs and to see something like this happening is... A bit shocked, sad, and disappointed. Feels like every HSR CC would have at least a drama tied to them. As just a casual viewer I just want to watch HSR videos in peace...

Just because someone makes videos you like doesn't mean you know them or that they are a good person. Be appreciative of the content, but keep in mind that you do not know the actual person and their real personality, at all.
Seeing stuff like this is really disheartening. I haven't played many gacha games, but seeing how much content theft and drama is in this game just sucks. Hope you keep up the good content.

I hugely respected your GnG video because to my amazement, I saw nearly nobody credit nakfrg when I'm pretty sure he was one of the first (first I saw) using some crazy strats in GnG. Ofc a few days later most content creators had pumped out their videos but nobody else really gave credit where it was do.

I don’t think i care too much about the drama, but the “coincidence” of him saying how much effect res the boss had was pretty funny ngl. Jokes aside, for these kinds of video i always watch yours because it’s the most entertaining and informative imo, and the Free characters only MoC is always one of the best HSR videos on youtube.

Its good that you shared this. Its an eye opener for me I followed these two for guides and stuff along side other content creators. Now I can never see these two in the same light ever again. Once again thank you for sharing this hope you get to make more videos!
Really opened my eyes with this one. Thanks for bringing this to light! And for better or for worse I did not know you as a content creator before this happened, all of this happening has led me to your channel. Now I have decided to discard 2 shameless content creators for 1 more genuine one. As much as a I liked their content, content is something anyone else can make but the person behind it is more important for me. It's one of the main reasons why I don't just read a guide and prefer watching a video guide. Also, I just checked Nak's channel and it has achievement guides?! I've been putting those off for the longest time now. Another great content creator to follow.

It’s like that one person who isn’t well known in a community makes a meme but then everybody ignores it, then suddenly that one person who is well-known in the community used the same meme that the former made and it draw attention to the community.

Quite frankly damning given I recommended guoba to someone for character guides today and he was on his second chance. You deserve better.
Plagiarism is also a serious matter and while it's a shame that you have to actively speak on public media to get your point across- it is the way of today's era unfortunately due to many systems handling said situations being so heavily outdated. Glad you spoke up.

Thank you for making this video, Zeto. I can’t imagine how hard it must’ve been to hold this weight for so long, and I applaud you for still managing to open up about it in the end.
I recently started a channel membership to Guoba, but seeing this, I immediately cancelled the renewal (unfortunately my name will still be in his videos until early February, but never again after that) and opted out of all content. It’s ridiculous how he was so double-sided throughout all of the “content copying” accusations. The previous drama was the “fool me once”, now it’s just too much.
I have been watching Artumbo’s videos on release, and noticed the correlation between what you and he did but didn’t think twice about it. Lesson learned, I will be making better notes about that mentally, it’s atrocious that your (and Nak’s and all other sources’) content was ripped off so easily by him without any acknowledgement.
Consider me devoted to your channel. I hope that you never have to deal with this kind of crap ever again. Your videos have always impressed me, but my respect for you has grown hundredfold now. Good luck on your future, I’ll be cheering you on ❤️

I cannot wait for Tectone to react to this to get more exposure to the issue. However Zmm, I will say I always loved watching both your videos and Artumbos. Will say the content creation space for making guides will be a very difficult thing to have the who touched it first place. Surely, some people will come down the same route, but definitely needs the yoink and twist to make it different from the others.

seeing artumbo's community post even without context made my heart sink. I already understand how competitive this market is, and the fact that I have watched his stolen videos just because I was more familiar with him makes it sting more. Guoba at least did his best to make a video about it, and seeing his side of the story does add some given clarity but doesn't clear him of wrong. Guoba seems to be at fault of biases and misunderstanding but it seems like he had no intention of harm. Artumbo Is the culprit, twofold.

Hey man, just wanted to say thanks for making this video. People need to know that larger content creators can steal content as well. I do love how you showed you were the bigger man by wishing Guoba would change himself, I think everyone can agree that he has a love for the game and always works hard to push out his guides
I feel like larger content creators actually have an incentive to plagiarise because it helps with the speed at which they are expected to push out content to maintain interest

I didn't realize any of this had been happening until I saw Artumbo's community apology on my YT dash. I had been subscribed to him, but after this, it just kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth seeing his channel. Especially since I used to enjoy his content. I can definitely understand the dilemma between confronting this issue in a video or just letting it go, but I think addressing it like this is a surefire way to spread awareness and help prevent plagiarism issues (though what happens will happen). I respect you for making a video about it.
