That ending chord was amazing. Crazy how quickly you came up with it thought. Usually the last chord is what takes me the longest to figure out, since I want the conclusion to be satisfying.
In my case weed helps with creativity and on the spot improvisation but alas that short memory, i usually straight start recording myself since ill forget the riffs made prior😂 Killer content mate.
Esos ejercicios previos en los brazos, manos y dedos son los mencionados por John Petrucci en su Rock Discipline. Que bueno que retomes esos ejercicios...yo aún los aplico antes de practicar.
this feels like a silly question but after making your initial idea, how do you know what to play next? i feel like coming up with a small riff for the beginning is easier for me but I never know where to continue on
ive found that a lot of times it helps to work off your initial idea and make another riff that is similar but maybe simplified slightly or the way it concludes is slightly different. For choruses i think its helpful to look at what key you're in and what scale your riffs look like theyre written around and then play around with the chords in that scale until you come up with a chorus that works for you :) I run into the same issue though when i focus on the riff itself too much, its almost like writers block lol
Learning a little music theory helps tremendously. It takes the guess work out of it. You already will know what sounds good, it’s just a question of using those sounds to taste in an original way.
his style seems very unique to me, does anyone know bands that sound like this? I would love to hear this type of riffs in complete songs but I don't know any band similar to this
@@jack-zc9lb I know most of those bands and I don't think his style is really like any of them, haha. What he plays is closer to melodic/technical death metal, but focused more on rhythm than a lot of bands in that genre.

Glad I'm not the only one that immediately forgets his ideas. Though if I do, I conclude it must be because the riff wasn't memorable/good enough.
Single handedly putting out the best rhythm content on RUclips! Awesome stuff 👏🏼
his right hand is insane
The bit about forgetting how to play what you literally just spent a lot of time composing is too relatable 😭
This standard tuning heavy stuff is exactly what I needed to hear
That riff was insanely cool man please keep writing, you are an inspiration
Modern metal guitar riffs hit differently. They are often an amalgamation of both a guitar solo & rhythm guitar.

Lingerie
ill never get sick of hearing your riffs
Always watch your videos, I don't have an electric guitar, but some of your riffs sound really cool on acoustic)))
Another 6-string riff? Yes please!
Yeesss...the Cubase Audio-Click... couldn't live without it any more! This alone will never let me change my DAW 😁 Thanks for the Inspiration.
Love watching this cat play ! Very inspirational ! ⚡️💫⚡️
thank you man so much I made a huge progress on guitar because of you
Really enjoyed the insight into the process!!
being able to jam as cleanly as you is my new guitar goal haha
being able to hear the notes out of the riff with that much distortion
You inspired me to do that type of instructive (although only one for now and kinda trash) videos, thanks and keep on good work!
Seriously awesome! 🤘
Slowly becoming my favorite guitarist 🙌🏻
I like ur style its like john brown stuffs, riffs with variations mantaining the same idea, with a lot of energy...
its soo weird seeing him use a guitar with a headstock and 6 strings
you really a God at riffing!

I love your music! Will there be a video with bass?
+1, we need B A S S

ayo wtf this is is coooooooool. Nik should react to your amazing riffs. And i want to play like that too XDD
Do you usually hit the volume knob on strats while down picking because I do that a lot and that makes me hate strats.
pinky good
Could you do a video on your right hand technique! You're good at being reliably fast but also play hard.
❤❤

Yeah yeah, impressive but man, which shampoo do you use? 🧐🤔
real
I liked the feel of the idea better before you tightened it up. Seemed to let the notes ring out longer and it grooved better to me
I seriously think you are the next Keith Merrow
behemoth vibes
Yo, are those warmups from Rock Discipline?
dude that right hand is godly, any tips for me to better my right hand ?
After watching so many of your vids and following you for a while, I'm pretty sure we have the same PC case. What case do you have?

unprocessed, monuments, the contortionist, periphery just to name a few. this style isn't very uncommon nowadays

@@beanzthumbz totally agree but in the case of this video this is totally a unprocessed/peripheryish riff
TOOL thank me later
@@adeebnaveen5694 definitely doesn’t sound like tool haha
What would this genre/sub genre be called?
Surprisingly easy when you know alot of chords lol
Hello :D gib me heart
yay ^_^
it's WHAT something looks like, now how
Careful u dont twist a ligament playing that
Stop giving away juicy riffs and make song plix
This is "what" writing a metal riff looks like.
lowest string is out of tune bro lol
