From some of the images, it looks like we might get a first look/tease of the Linlang Empire (formerly the Cloud Kingdom in LN). This empire was heavily based on Chinese culture, which would be fitting for the Chinese New Year.
From the Chinese-style house pic + the sketch of the man wearing hanfu, I'm guessing we'll meet another NPC from the Linlang Empire. It's a little early for them to unlock the whole region, but they'll definitely do something to tie it in. Also, I'd love if Tan Youyou got to be part of the event - maybe hiding him from the new NPC? He says in dialogue that he's keeping a low profile, so he might not want other Linlang citizens to find him.

honestly, i infinity nikki’s pity system is incredibly friendly and good for beginners. there’s so many pretty f2p outfits, some 4/3 stars are even better than the 5 stars! i’d still recommend this game to you if it looks interesting.
I'mma level with you. It is a gacha. You don't pull for _outfits,_ you pull for _items of clothing_ that make up outfits. Which means the outfits you see on the banners might take you about 80-100 pulls to complete, much less for the lower rarity ones. On the plus side, as your collection grows you can create more outfits of your own design to enjoy since you can mix and match the different pieces of clothing you get. This aspect of the game is _entirely cosmetic._ You don't need to pull. The game can be played entirely free at a minimal loss if you are competent with your resources, and I know most gacha games will claim that but you are legitimately not at a major disadvantage progressing the game by using in game acquired and crafted outfits. Additionally, if this ends up like their other Nikki games, you get plenty of free pulls every banner and limited banners often get re-runs, so it is possible to get your favorite banner outfit over time if you aren't in a rush. And again, this is cosmetic. It is a dress up game, beyond the open world and soul crushing story and styling battles you are primarily playing the game because you want to wear pretty clothes and take pretty pictures and share them with other people.

It is a gacha game but you don't need to spend money at all! I would avoid it if you get fomo though
