Girl, I'm obsessed with your reactions, you give such brilliant energy, I just stayed up last night watching your videos. Btw, liniker is the best, this album is on repeat and I'm so happy to see the world reacting to mom, she's a great inspiration for independent trans and black artists
Melly is also a great artist!! she released her first album this year, called "Amaríssima". Beyond lyrics, mix of genres and her great voice, the album has a short film available on youtube that is likeeee... wow
You need to hear her vocals in the performance of the song 'Intimidade' on RUclipsBlack Voices Liniker 2022. Simply one of the most beautiful things in the world
Liniker likes to use Black brazilian rhythms in her songs and add some gospel to it , the first two songs in this video were from rhythms from Bahia and Rio , the first one i don't recall the name exactly but it has those beaches and Caribbean vibes , the second one was a saloon Samba thats why u felt similarities between salsa and that one
React to these artists! I bet you're going to love them. Let me know which ones you vibe with the most! Baiana System: High-energy, bass-heavy, and full of Brazilian rhythms. You won’t be able to sit still! Melly: Smooth beats with an electronic twist. It’s like a vibe you can’t ignore. Luisa e os Alquimistas: A mix of reggae, pop, and Brazilian flavors. Super fun and unique! Os Garotin: Their music is playful and just makes you feel good. Perfect for when you need some uplifting tunes. Rachel Reis: Her voice is amazing, and her songs blend modern and traditional Brazilian sounds. You’ll be hooked! Gilsons: A mix of soul, samba, and chill vibes. Their tracks will definitely make it to your playlist.
Girl, I recommend to know the other side of our precious artist, watching her TV serie called ''Manhãs de Setembro", where she is protagonist. She is phenomenal!
Caju is not really a term of endearment but after this album, it probably will be haha I loved your reactions, and I agree, some of the songs last a hit longer than they could, even though they are amazing!
@@noelleposts It's not the same person! She has spoken about this in some recent interviews. The lyrics are about her experiences as a trans woman in a highly LGBTphobic and racist country and how it affects the way men here view her and treat her in relationships. It's hard to stand up and see yourself as worthy of love when you're a minority, and that's the process she describes so poetically. "Caju", her alter ego, refers to a very tropical and sunny fruit, just as she allows herself to overcome the more sombre version of "Índigo Borboleta Anil" (the previous Grammy-winning album) and finally be happy.

8:16 Mayonga is a energetic bath, it's a religious reference from Liniker's faith.
