This lesser known sonata by Beethoven is totally worth listening to. I've only known it through the classic versions by Schnabel etc. and this version is worthy of anything from the past. Bravo.
I have been coming back and listening to your performance of this piece over and over again the past few days. You play so clearly, and it seems so obvious how much you are loving playing. You are a lot of fun to watch and very rewarding to listen to. Thank you!
I know most people are calling this piece very authentic... But how in the f did he play this with the bench so low! That has to be horribly bad for his hands.
I think that he chose the height. It makes the greatest use of gravity to play the piano. At this seat height, his elbows are the lowest part of his arms. By bending his elbows, he can raise his hands and allow them to relax when not in use. He can use the weight of his entire arm to sound notes. When he relaxes his shoulder muscles, his arms will fall, and gravity will make the strings sound. He can use his elbow joints to get even finer control. By raising and lowering his wrists and controlling their angles, he can control whether most of the weight of his hands is above or below the keys. This allows him to use the weight of the hands only (wrist high and hand pointing down), or to use the weight of the whole arm (wrist low with hand pointing up and fingers curled), at will.
The sound he gets is high quality. Also is the rhythm and precise touch. Clearly is not the way you would teach pupils, but the listening wins to all theories. He doesn't look uncomfortable.
The care and clarity with which you play strikes me as an authentic early-Beethoven, Classical-era approach, as opposed to a few performances that I have heard that were more Romantic and perhaps even somewhat bombastic. Read moreShow less Reply · 2
sfkcbf not really that authentic, too much rubato. He does a very good job and is crystal clear but small details he's made his own. A left hand octave was held through instead of held for 1 beat, and he skipped a couple staccatos near the beginning. He also has some sneaky pedal in there. Not really calling that a bad thing just taking note of it. I doubt the 2 ending chords was how beetlovin did it. Overall an excellent performance. (I only listened to the first movement)

One of the best interpretations I've seen!
Have you heard it too? It sounds much better than it looks!
Good dynamic contrasts throughout, Clean, sharp incisive playing. Overall, enjoyed the performance. Bravo!
give a listen at 17:40 - 18:53, the music so clear it is talking to cheer-up a person.
Lovely piece, sublime interpretation!
Such clarity and precision with each note important and heard - What an intimate and engaging listening experience!
Wonderful and accurate playing. inspiring, too
It all depends on how you take the second theme: with clarity and a little love. Here, way ahead of the eminent competition!
Extraordinary. I particularly love the way you played the 2nd movement, with thoughtful expression channeling Beethoven himself.
Way prefer this performance so clear.
Congratulations, Vadin , one more time, !!
Lovely with passion!
Excelente interpretación como siempre, Vadim.
Perfect ... Just perfect.
Amazing performance!!!

I think he's channeling his inner Glenn Gould.
Totally agree

Bravo!
Great sound! Thank's for uploading!
Fabulous artistic performance, brilliant synchronization, especially in Allegro Molto con Brio. You did almost exactly what the name meant.
Magisterial!! Bravo

power is very amazing!!
Bom demais! 👏🏼👏🏼
best history assignment ever. (I have an assignment from school to listen to various composers. Yes my school started in july)
Perfecto!
wonderful pianist!
3rd is awsomeeee!!
Praise to the third movement!!!!!
Indeed

wow!! ^^
Wow
Cool
super 😰
why is his chair so low it looks like he’s jammed into the piano
Idk why ask the producers 😂
Hay quá
I played movement 1, although not as "light" as you're playing; a bit more heavy like Daniel Barenboim's. You play this like it's a Mozart piece lol.
he is playing without pedal?
This definitely how Beethoven meant it to be played.
Elaborate please
right, not just a show off
overall I quite like it but there are quite few rhytmic inaccuracies in the Adagio.
it's called 'music'...
I'm I the only one who thinks he looks like Walter O'Brien from Scorpion? xD
In fact he looks like Walter O'Brien
are you using pedal bro?
Only when I drive ;)
@@VadimChaimovich well, it's pretty easy to learn to press down the piano pedal if you already mastered the art of pressing the brake
@@VadimChaimovich HAHAHAHHAHAHAHH
Allegro molto e conbrio
smash
Way too much drama right at the outset.
