I really love your video. Your instructions are very clear. You also make sure your hand is not in the way when you’re showing how to do the stitches and that’s so important. One thing that I learned and I wish I would have known over the years is there is no need to do a chain 1,2,3,or 4 you just simply do the stitch that’s required for the round. It saves that weird gapping that doing chains versus the regular stitch does. I also don’t do a slip stitch into the top of the row unless it’s absolutely necessary. With this pattern in certain places, it is necessary. If it’s not an necessary thing, I just continue working in the round. That’s actually the same thing for working in rows . You don’t need a turning chain either.
This is an excellent video. Your soothing voice is easy to listen to and you are slow and precise in explaining your plan. I do wish you had continued your explanation in finishing off the borders of the sweater with the cuffs, base and front if the garment with an explanation of the button holes. But thank you so much for this cute sweater.
Very good instructions ! I’ve started making the squares , but your daisies look puffier than mine , it looks like your daisies are sitting on top , so beautiful Thank you for sharing
Thank you for giving this a try! Maybe you can try pushing the petals more forward to puff it out? It could also possibly your yarn. If it’s thinner, maybe you can try adding more stitches into one petal to give it more volume!
This is EXACTLY what I’m looking for!!And I love how quick but easy the tutorial moves on!!Just a quick question, how many more squares would I have to do so it modestly covers my bottom?❤
Awww I'm glad! It really depends on a lot of factors! I would recommend making a sample square and measure it. Now measure your desired length/width and figure out how many squares would make up that length/width. Thats how many squares you will need! Let's say for example, each of my squares are 5in x 5in and I want a sweater that measures 30in x 30in, I would need 36 squares (because 30in divided by 5in is 6 squares needed) that's just for the back panel alone. You can reference my drawing at 7:23 and construct a similar one! In my case, to make the cardigan longer, I would need to add 5 more squares to the bottom of the back panel and 4 more to the front panels. I would need a total of 9 more squares to make it longer by a unit of 1 square. If you still need help, please let me know!
Just a big hint for next video. I can not read written pop up instructions when they come up. The print color blends into background color. Not big enough colo difference. For ex: use white lettering on black (dark) background or vise a versa. Your voice instruction were very good. Thank you.
I really would love to try this cardigan but I'm not sure as to what size hook to use or what type of yarn to use.. please can you tell me what you used. Thank you
I used Caron Simply Soft yarn, 5mm hook and swapped to 3.5mm when piecing it together. I used about 4-5 skeins of blue yarn, 2 skeins of off white yarn, and I didn't finish my 1 skein of yellow velvet yarn.
Hi there! For the bottom hem, I just made 3sc and 1dec until I reached the end! It's all on your preference! If you prefer the bottom hem to look more balloon-y, you can dec more frequently (ie. 2sc and 1dec until you reach the end)! Though you have to bear in mind that the hem must still fit your hips so dont decrease too much! For the sleeves, the concept is the same! I believe I dec in every stitch all the way around. If your hand does not fit in the sleeve after decreasing, you will need to undo the row and try increasing the number of single crochets (ie. 1sc and 1dec all the way around)!
My squares measure approx 5in x 5in! Your square measurements may vary based on a variety of factors (yarn size, hook size, tension, etc.)! Fortunately, the thing about granny Square cardigans is that they're very forgiving! Depending on the measurement of your squares, construct a diagram like at 7:20 with your own measurements!

Caron Simply Soft Yarn! It’s my favorite! As for the velvet yellow yarn… I wish I knew! It was in the clearance section 😢
Can I ask like how many square flowers did you need?
Should be 54! You can reference the diagram
Hi! May i know the measurement of the granny square?
My squares measure approx 5in x 5in! Your square measurements may vary based on a variety of factors (yarn size, hook size, tension, etc.)! Which weight of yarn is used please?
Hi there! I used the Caron Simply Soft yarn in light blue and ivory! For the center, I used yellow velvet yarn! It is all up to your preference!
Tfs. I can concentrate better without the music.
Super cute, love it but please stop the annoying background music, it’s very distracting, sorry
I’m sorry to hear that! If it’s a big issue, you’re welcome to mute the video and use my self-made captions!
@@hunnybear0822 yes I’m aware I could do that but you actually talking through the pattern, would be better!
