As a skiing prodigy, you caught my eye at your first Killington win. However although there are many prodigies, very few transition to adulthood as gracefully as you have. I feel honored watching the process, thanks to your candor & openness. Thanks for being you! (and thanks to your parents as well)
Another great season, Mikaela. I'm looking forward to more great moments in the upcoming year. Also, give my best wishes to Alexander, we're all rooting for him to get his full strength and health back. Stay safe and loved. Greetings from Slovenia.
As a fan of this series, I have enjoyed the way you show not only the sport and competition, but also some personal insights into how you keep yourself at the top of your game. However, something is missing here: a special announcement of your engagement. Congrats, and thank YOU!
This might be one of my favorite episodes! Love the BTS insights, the team meeting with Karin’s quote reading, the Steve Porino voiceover, all of it! Fingers crossed for summer episodes 🤞🏻
I'm not a skier, but I've been a fan and strong supporter of your journey from the very first Olympics trophy until now. You've reached incredible heights throughout the years with losses disappointments. But with friends, family, and a great team supporting you, you've always prevailed. All you can do is focus on the day to day challenge, stay focused and healthy 100 isn't im possible its just a number. Now you're engaged. Congratulations ❤❤
The ABSOLUTE G O A T !!!! 🇺🇸💪🏻 I missed this season with a complete rupture of ACL!! You are my inspiration and I love watching you win again and again!! I also know you are far from accomplishing your goals!!! I love that commercial when you say you will let us know when you get there!!! A modest, humble and grounded WORLD CHAMPION!!! Can’t wait for next season for BOTH OF US!!!! And CONGRATS ON ENGAGEMENT!!
Why do I get emotional just watching this? Maybe because I see the hard work you put, which turns out to be the path to excellence. I hope you find time during the offseason to share what’s going on. Stay safe and well.❤
We have skied at BC 2 weeks every winter for 20 years. Needless to say, we have followed your career, knowing that you have likely been down some of those same slopes. We are now approaching 80 and you are motivation for us to keep coming back despite what those 20 years have done to our bodies. We don't take it for granted either. Thank you!
Cool wrap up for the last episode of season 2, always great that you manage to be open and honest about what you experienced during this very special and emotional season...I guess this ability to be able to show some glimpses of your every day preparation, team members, your joys and doubts, makes the whole episodes great to watch. As for for season 3, I guess you may continue with this key ingredients, perhaps share more the challenges to move from one discipline to another, especially from Technics to Speed, may be you can share more pre/ post races interviews or debriefs, even it the ones with your coaches team could remain logically confidential! What impressed me most was how you were able to share openly that coping with the pressure is not always easy... that you dreamt of experiencing a race feeling fully confident...but at the same time, you are honest enough to realize you were maybe overdramatizing your "stress level"...in your diary at least!.... as well as clever and wise enough to realize that too much or over confidence could be also a pitfall to avoid...as you could take too many risks...So as you said, the more you focus on the pleasure of training and skying, the less on the results in themselves, the more you will reach the best results you wish and deserve! So once again very inspiring, thank you!
Those workouts are insane! 😮 I always knew alpine racers have immense strength, but watching what it takes to get that strength inspires so much RESPECT. 🙇🏼
Dear Mika, thanks for these videos showing us what a kind, genuine and thoughtful person you are. A true champion and a great inspiration. I already look forward for the next season and I really hope the Moving Right Along series will continue also next year!
Found it difficult to understand the pressure and expectation that Miss Shiffrin feels when racing considering she is the most successful EVER until this video. The team and coaches in her inner circle bring their own enormous pressures. To perform for your yourself is the ultimate but to perform and satisfy the team around you is obviously the 101% that looks so easy so from the viewing public as we watch from our couches. Amazing. Inspirational. Thought provoking.
Another excellent episode. Thank you Mika for your unrelenting authenticity. You are such a good example of living in alignment and that is reflected in the results. Kudos to you and everyone supporting you. Great to hear Pino's commentary on this one as well. All good people.
Thank you, great to see behind the scenes again. Also excellent advice re motivation and if need be parking or blocking targets to focus on enjoying what you do! So true! Keep it up, I look forward to next season and studying your excellent carving, and sking like a modern day Stenmark, my hero in my younger days. Keep up the fun and stay healthy!
Mikaela is such a fantastic soul. She is so gracious, super skilled, kind and she so inspires us all to bring our best. Would watch her even playing competitive checkers 😅
Congratulation on an amazing comeback! It was super special to get to watch you get the globe live in Saalbach. This was yet another really great episode! Thank you for sharing your progress with us along the way 🥰
44 days and the queen is back …so happy for you, and so happy on your engagement to a great guy. All the best to you both. Keep up the great work all your efforts and dedication pays off …your fans love watching you. Thanks your incredible …and what ever you want to do for next year it’s good with me 😊😍❤️
Fabulous. As a psychologist, I would love to hear about the mental preparation you do-relaxation, visualization, yoga, mind-body work-high performance is so psychological best to you both
Hallo Mikaela! I thought this episode was good. Thank you for sharing your travels. You are my idol, cheering for you every time you drive. you are just the best❤
Love the behind the scenes and insight to how you think about various topics. Perhaps deeper insight to members of your team and how they impact your performance as future topics . Great season and see you at Killington 😊
I love these episodes. Thank you for sharing this behind the scenes. You and your team are very motivating and inspiring with all these hard work and respect. All the best for you 🍀🥰
Thanks Mikaela for sharing your journey with us, my 2 little boys adore you and I am glad they can see what an incredible sport woman can be such an inspiring human being ❤
Mikaela, I am a fannof skiing and of you. I like to see you racing, but also I know it is a very hard journey. Your insight views are awesome. Please keep on with this work and take us Fans with you. Thanks and all the best for you and Aksel. Because behind a strong woman is a strong man 👌
As always really enjoyed watching this episode 😍 hope to also get some off season episodes 😃 and congrats on your amazing season once again, so inspirational ☺️
Tore my ACL skiing this year and have been following along with your rehab journey. Very inspiring and you’ve got me stoked to get back out there next year too!
Cool to see how ‘winning’ the process is your main motivator. Also cool to see how the injury has actually helped you feel better about the state of your fitness. And, yes, your Mom IS cute!
After 2 complete knee replacement surgeries, I hope to go skiing again 2025. I wish I had your motivation to get to the gym. I'm looking forward to another victorious season for you.
Another absolutely great and amazing episode! I love this episode and this concept of videos! 🥰 It is so so inspiring see your skiing, preparation and this behind the scenes and thank you for that! 🤩 Have a nice day Mikaela ❤️
I’m constantly stunned by the fact that you don’t have millions and millions of fans in the US. The country has gone gaga for the albeit amazing Caitlin Clark, but you are the best ever to strap on two skis in your absolute prime. I know you can’t snap your fingers and make WC skiing popular in the US, but you should be a household name here. I blame FIS and US Skiing and NBC and, quite frankly, your marketing team. I’m sorry that I’m being negative, but it just kills me that you aren’t one of the most popular athletes in the US. I’ve been a massive fan since your first WC cup win in Are. I subscribe to the online ski pass. And I watch everything I can on social media about your great sport. But I so want you to bust through and being a massive star in the US.
Hi Miki! Congratulations on getting through an incredibly difficult season, you've definitely earned some time off from the grind! I was wondering what your thoughts were on cut proof underwear and airbags for ski racers? Do you think FIS should make them mandatory or do they effect the racing too much? I absolutely love your videos, I recommend to everone I know who skis, you are such a wonderful ambassador for our sport!
Another really interesting video Mikaela. It definitely seems that what works so well for you is not focussing on stats and records, but just enjoying the work and the racing. Do you think that you might drop the speed races going forward and just stick with the technical ones?
Mikaela!!! E le pieghe immacolate and the "immaculate" turns. We have achieved the 100 🐵 monkeys effect in the multiverse of skiing.🌊 " flow state" AMAZING 🤩 LET'S GO!!! Cingo.
thank you for sharing all this with us❤️ I can't wait for the next season to start, and I hope I can have the opportunity to make my dream of meeting you come true...so, thank you for letting us enter your world once again❤️ P.s. will there be some videos during the summer?🫶🏻
@@mikaelashiffrin I hope so too, it's wonderful to be able to witness these moments "behind the scenes"... we really appreciate the work you and your team are doing to be able to show us all this, so thank you🫶🏻

29th Birthday? :-O I am wondering how is this possible. Miki looks like fresh 20 and even her mom is more like 40 (30 by her energy), so, what is going on?! Somebody hacked nature or what? Or is it just the Barilla's pasta? Hmmm, more investigation needed :)
Thanks for another amazing episode. I won't write about how amazing you are because everyone knows that, but I really admire your kindness and humility. For God's sake, you are the greatest of all time and you still stand firmly on the ground. As a person you are very admirable and the fact that you are a great skier is just a bonus.
