I found your confusion and uncertainty with the CAM software to be adorable and relatable, because I'm pretty sure I felt the same thing. I never got passed stage two, though, so I think your case is smarter than mine :C
I am still waiting for Dmitry to respond to this amazing comment. You just saved his life and he doesn't even bother to acknowledge you Tide laundry detergent!
No offense, but I agree with Gamers Nexus here. The "Smart Device" included in the H700i is a really pointless edition that may not work 100% of the time and only goes to making the chassis more expensive. Almost everything else about the H700i (minus that ridiculous cable management bar. The S340 does a better job) is rather good but for $200 there are certainly better cases out there (and many that are much cheaper).
grlmgor Than what? There are many, cheaper models that have as good airflow as the H700i.....NZXT basically took the S340 and made the front panel a little better.
Hello Dmitry, I just bought the NZXT H700i Black/Red case and I love it! It's a bit on the pricey side but I am okay with it. I had to get used to the CAM software because of the error message I got when it was trying to do step three. I finally got it to work this weekend and it's all good. I was amazed on how easy the cable management is with this case. I plan to build my new computer with this case. I temporarily used my old system parts in this case to sell my old full tower case. I must say motherboards that is older than five years by EVGA would have a issue with the cable connections. But since this is temporary so I will just go with the small issues. Thanks for a great full review of this case I am very happy with it.
I bought the h700i, Kraken x62, and Aer RGB fans. The case is solid and well designed, but my experience with NZXT so far has made me view them as the EA of PC hardware manufacturers. Like I said, the h700i is great. It's made well and it has a lot of great features to make it a great case to build in. If the sold just the case for $100-$120 it would be an amazing case. The smart device is basically a crippled Hue+ with features you aren't ever going to use. Plus, it only has 1 RGB channel, and that channel is used by the LED strip. If you get Aer RGB fans you can't use the strip since they use different connectors for some reason. So if you want to use the included LED strip and their own brand of RGB fans you basically need to toss the smart device they forced you to buy and buy the Hue+. Plus between the Kraken, Smart device, and front USB ports you need 3 usb2 headers to control them all. That's motherboard headers, not USB ports. Barely any motherboards have more than 2 of these headers and my Crosshair VI Hero (high end X370 board) has only 1. So you would also have to buy another device that NZXT sells, their USB2 header splitter. It all feels like DLC, and it all feels planned. They could have put a USB header on the smart device to plug in the Kraken. 3 fans, case, kraken x62, usb header splitter. NZXT wants $400+ of your money for their aesthetic. Then there is the CAM software...
The usb hub didn't cost that much. If you can't afford one you don't belong building pcs. Always do research if you need the hub or not before you build. It was well worth getting the hub.
I do not think they will release a H700D where D stands for "Dumb" because that's something only Steve from GamersNexus finds hilarious, but like a H700s for simple or H700B for barebones. The best would be just H700x because corsair uses "x" to signify a PSU that does not have link included.
Privet, Dima. I got this case and built in it last weekend. It was easy to build in, and I really like how RGB looks in it. also note that I got an extra RGB strip to attache to the additional RGB cable. It was in the box tucked into one of the hard drive bays. I found CAM a bit perplexing. Trying to find the correct environment to make the calibration advance was difficult, but I did get through it. One thing I did notice was that the device is sensitive to noise. If you run the calibration and tap on your case, you will see the graph jump... so your case is listening to you. Since I built mine after both you, Gamer's Nexus and Science Studio YT put out reviews of the case, i bought extension to run under the shroud. This makes a big difference and works well. Thank you for your review. It's a pricey case, but it's very good. Spacibo.
I have been using cams software since 2017 and have yet to bump in to any issues. The aesthetic, cable management, radiator panel, and use of cams are what got me to switch my case. I got the newer version of this case, the h710i. Just finished the swap last night and it looks so much better than my corsair case.
You are truly the go-to guy for case reviews aka Case Review God or CRGod. You really should consider designing one. When you do not have enough USB headers on the motherboard, it is possible to run a standard USB cable from the AIO to one of the external USB port connection on the back of the motherboard. This was my workaround.
I don't think the smart part is necessary as a whole for noise or thermals. But it could be helpful in determining airflow configuration. And what I mean by that is that it can find out which fans are most effective and/or necessary. Even then I think that part should be sold as a separate product so that you can use it on multiple cases. You could then include a microphone system to more accurately determine noise levels. And it would decrease the cost of the case as it wouldn't be included.
I'm currently rebuilding my fully watercooled tower in the H700i. I already took out the "smart hub" and stole it's fan splitters. There is potential in this thing for watercooling, but man it disappoints me to see how awful the restriction on the top will be if I decide to put the second 360mm rad up there. You have to flip the fan mount so that the top of the case is maybe half an inch at most off the bracket. That would be absolutely horrible for airflow. I'm really leaning towards not future-proofing for SLI and just running the 360mm on the front by itself.
I don't care that it's expensive. It's currently the best looking case on the market.....and style rarely comes cheap! If the cable management bar gets in the way, just cable-comb your 24-pin and route it over the top of the bar. It looks decent, and breaks up the big red (in my case) vertical slab. It was a pain in the arse to build in at times, and I had to come up with an alternative fan solution, as the smart device won't spin up 3x Corsair ML120's from one three-way splitter, so they're on a MB header. But, contrary to other reports, I actually like the CAM software. I'm not using the smart bit though, just custom curves to help maintain positive air pressure. If CAM had motherboard header fan control functionality, it'd be perfect for me.
Best thing to do with this case as a NZXT S340 fan it's to change that bar in the middle which is ugly wth and that controller, what a bad move NZXT. Can't wait a model without all of that crap inside. Thanks for that review Dimitri as usual it's perfect.
Great video. One of the reasons I bought my H700i... I noticed that your radiator fans are pulling air from the case and pushing it out. Any reason for this? Would it not be better to pull fresh air into the case and have the exhaust pull the hot air out?
Seriously, I bought the Hue+ 2 months ago and its USB connector caught fire at the HUE+ connection end... thankfully no mobo damage and I got my money back
"It will learn" and report it's findings. Amazing. Guess you can park it next to your smart TV, so they can compare notes and double check each others work.
I prefer setting up fan speed to stay cool enough under almost all load i throw at it, which may be a little bit louder then it needs to be at idle. having your system go from quite to decently loud under load is a lot more noticeable to me then a consistent fan speed.
I like the idea, but I would like to see this tested against a simple 5 minute diy session for example. And whether those noise indications are somewhat accurate (especially with different fans)
Did my build with this case and x62. Great case build, software does its job, smart device does its job for me and I think its pretty amazing. Great cable management and cooling for my first pc build. I enjoyed this and it matches my game zero cans heh heh.
I hope so, but eteknix and Gamers Nexus have done good reviews on it, and the basic conclusion is that it's an overall average case that's not worth its $180 going rate.
Making things automatic makes the transition from console to the pc master race much easier. It's a good move in order to make new pc owners buy NZXT products.
lol two-three intake fans in a decently ventilated front, what do you need adaptive fans for, you can really run the cpu fan at a constant speed, and let the gpu use its stock curve, as they both have good flow.
Nzxt did something smart with the radiator portion, allowing more air, that was one of the bad things when it came to the S340/S340 Elite. Not feeling the price nor the 'smart' gimmicks. Most buy their own hubs so it'll be redundant in this case. I like that it kept the S340 feel though, I like that case.
It looks like they are going though the fans one by one in the testing to see what the best cooling performance is for each and setting it accordingly. I would love to have it for my full water cooled rig.. This gives you optimal ran settings for keeping the system coolest with as minimal fan speeds as they can be. Fan by fan. I have noticed it in my rig as I'm tuning it pretty much the same way. I would love to hear one of the devs explain it in detail..
I went to the pc store, and he mounts the x62 on the top just like you but in the opposite side the fans on the top and the radiator in the bottom does this will effect on cooling or anything else?
Can you confirm if the MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON LGA 1151 (Socket H4) ATX motherboard would have enough onboard USB headers to operate the smart hub, a kraken, and the front IO panel? From what I can see, this mobo has 2 x usb 2.0 connectors, and 2 x USB 3.0 (3.1 Gen 1) connectors. I'm looking to build my first PC later this year, and I'm not sure if this will be suitable or not. Thanks!
Hello!!! I'm going to buy the h700i and wantes to konw, if the CAM is still an option, or its better to conect the fans to the motherboard. Thanks!!! And sorry fon my english.
I feel like NZXT might start a trend(as they always do) with "smart" cases that can handle all the rgb, cpu and gpu temps and I believe (and hope) that it will become a standard in the PC case industry.
I think the idea of adaptive learning is interesting, but it doesn't amount to much. Does it really matter if you can reduce noise by 2 decibels at idle? Especially if it takes 30 minutes of your time for the software to do it's thing. Now, an integrated fan/rgb hub without all the adaptive and smart learning stuff would be what I would want in a case like that.
Seems pretty kool but they really have to work on making software like CAM more "lightweight" somehow if theh want people to run it in the backround. Especially the needing be logged in thing.
Would this case fit a 360mm Radiator? I ask cuz im rebuilding my PC (besides gpu already got a RTX 2080) with a Ryzen 9 3900X in about a month and would like to know if it could fit a 360mm AIO water block
Nicolas Zannerini For me this case is for those looking to custom water cool - it supports a two 240mm radiators and has a build in reservoir mount. If you are aircooling then use the s340 elite definitely
Here's what I think: it was a good idea, but ended up not being reasonable. Custom or preset fan profiles are much faster to create, with same results. We need a H700d (dumb, taken from GN), without anything but the case, which IS very sweet.
S340 Elite still a better value case for the money; just wish it had a better controller position at top for fit the rad the other way around, and has space too for another top fan.
Hey man, I'm about to build a new pc. For the first time ever I'm going for a beautiful case and not just raw power. I couldn't find any information wheter the Cam software of NZXT only supports NZXT cam products, or could I use any kind of RGB brand with this software. If you (or someone who reads this and knows) could help me out, would be great! Thanks
So, I bought this case and like it so far, but I'm having issues with the CAM software (like lots of others). I swapped my system over to the new case, got everything plugged in, but none of the fans spun!? Do you have to do the setup through CAM for the fans to spin? I started to do the setup, but noticed the fans weren't spinning and was doing the game portion and my system got REALLY hot, so I stopped the setup. Even got a pop-up in CAM saying my system was too hot! Any ideas? For now, I just plugged all the fans into my motherboard since I have a ton of fan headers on it.
Man why all this trouble with controllers. Just blast the air from all sides into the case, have an exhaust fan and your all done. Monitor the temps of your cpu and MB through the MB and that's it. Use be quiet PWN high flow fans or Nachtua PWN fans and be done with it. For RGB I prefer strips to give a soft light to the case. That's my thoughts. I personally like the Lian Li 011 Dynamic and Dynamic XL.
Hue+ is 60$ and the grid+ is 30$. The thing included here is the combination of the two not currently sold separately by nzxt. So in total you can get almost 90$(just almost since the hue+ includes 2 led strips while there is only one included with the case) of value with that thing if you will actually use it.
S340 Elite is too small for me, no space for a 240rad in the top, yeah you can put it in the front but I don't like putting them there, I'll probably just get a fractal case.
Just don’t buy the H700I, just do the H700 cause if you are gonna end up buying more next ecosystem parts then don’t buy the I just do the H700 cause you won’t use what comes with it if you end up buying more stuff
The price for the 700i isn't too bad considering if you get the s340 or the h440 you'd need to replace the awful cheap fans they give you as standard compared to the decent ones in this case.
For anyone looking at this in 2019. They have the H700 out now. 149.99 without the smart features. Just bought it on sale for 107.99 from Amazon.
Yup, i bought it on sale and worth it
VIRA Fitness talk English so someone actually understands
Dean Hartman is it good for gaming
Is it good for any battle royals games?
Is the h700i just a case or does it come with the stuff in it?
I found your confusion and uncertainty with the CAM software to be adorable and relatable, because I'm pretty sure I felt the same thing. I never got passed stage two, though, so I think your case is smarter than mine :C
I take no responsibility for the physical, mental, or emotional trauma that may follow.
Dmirty be careful. I've heard that this self learning controller can become sentient and strangle you at night with it's cables.
Tide laundry detergent yeah, that happened to my cat last night
I am still waiting for Dmitry to respond to this amazing comment. You just saved his life and he doesn't even bother to acknowledge you Tide laundry detergent!
chillstep4life If he threw away that terminator model 1.0, that is good enough for me :)
Tide laundry detergent the beginnings of skynet
OMG is the cat ok?What did the cat do wrong? Why was it attacket by your (*Dying inside*) case? And,how?
It actually does have a microphone

Savage Steve said it first.
All hail stevie wonder
totally agree .. to me you're paying 100 dollars more for cable management improvement
This case gets better temps.
grlmgor Than what? There are many, cheaper models that have as good airflow as the H700i.....NZXT basically took the S340 and made the front panel a little better.

The usb hub didn't cost that much. If you can't afford one you don't belong building pcs. Always do research if you need the hub or not before you build. It was well worth getting the hub.
But their aesthetic is soo good.. im trying to resist.
Sam Clementi is it sold separately?
does the case have enough room for a push pull x62 kraken in the front?
NZXT please give us the GamersNexus H700d special. D for dumb for those that don't want your "smart" device.
And include 15 of their pucks, and a Puck Gamers Nexus shirt.
See NZXT, all we want is the D...
...wait...
This.
I do not think they will release a H700D where D stands for "Dumb" because that's something only Steve from GamersNexus finds hilarious, but like a H700s for simple or H700B for barebones. The best would be just H700x because corsair uses "x" to signify a PSU that does not have link included.

You can move the white bar to the front a bit (there are two mounting positions), this would allow the 24pin ATX cable to better fit.
I don't think the smart part is necessary as a whole for noise or thermals. But it could be helpful in determining airflow configuration. I agree with Dmitry when it comes to the pre-installed LED strip.
Case lighting should be ambient, or at least diffused.
HardwareCanucks cinematics = pure sexiness

Good Dmitry we are getting close to the end of the year see if you make the video of the best cases of 2017
"It will learn" and report it's findings.
Amazing.
Guess you can park it next to your smart TV, so they can compare notes and double check each others work.

Tbh I'd rather get an S340 elite and spend the extra $110 on a better motherboard or gpu or something
Ian Chorne yeah
I like the idea, but I would like to see this tested against a simple 5 minute diy session for example. And whether those noise indications are somewhat accurate (especially with different fans)
Did my build with this case and x62. Great case build, software does its job, smart device does its job for me and I think its pretty amazing. Great cable management and cooling for my first pc build. I enjoyed this and it matches my game zero cans heh heh.
Will you review the bequiet dark base 700?
I hope so, but eteknix and Gamers Nexus have done good reviews on it, and the basic conclusion is that it's an overall average case that's not worth its $180 going rate.
SlavjanA ok thank you imma check that out. Still Dmitry's case reviews are the best imo
Do you have to be loged into the software, to use a preset profile? Or does it need internet also?
I am very interested in automatic fan adjustments... but the software must absolutely work offline too and without any bugs.
Been waiting for this video for a while !
They should offer as you said a standard version without the smart hub. I'm going to do my own fan curve anyway which I due with NZXT's Grid +.
That blurred out PC in the background looks amazing
I debated long and hard about this case before pulling the trigger on the S340 Elite, I don't regret my decision.
Andy Smart decision. For the longest I was ready to buy the S340, but after viewing the Elite I purchased it quickly
It looks like they are going though the fans one by one in the testing to see what the best cooling performance is for each and setting it accordingly. I would love to have it for my full water cooled rig.. This gives you optimal ran settings for keeping the system coolest with as minimal fan speeds as they can be. Fan by fan. I would love to hear one of the devs explain it in detail..
can't tell how much that i love your video man , u deserve line 10m sub or even more !!!
It looks like a refreshed s340. Which isnt a bad thing. I made the switch to a phanteks enthoo evolv and I'm happier with it.
Hi.
Is it possible to move trays to the motherboard from the left to the right side? can be done the same with the window?
Regards
I went to the pc store, and he mounts the x62 on the top just like you but in the opposite side the fans on the top and the radiator in the bottom does this will effect on cooling or anything else?
The best Case for my "Arctron PC Build Project" White Mainboard, White Cablemod, Ryzen 3, RX 570 Armor Black White. White LEDs
Can you confirm if the MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON LGA 1151 (Socket H4) ATX motherboard would have enough onboard USB headers to operate the smart hub, a kraken, and the front IO panel?

I'm looking to build my first PC later this year, and I'm not sure if this will be suitable or not.
Thanks!
U can use a internal USB Hub from NZXT so i can use the front IO and the Smart HUb / Kraken
Can you do push and pull fan if you put the radiator at the top?
Hello!!! I'm going to buy the h700i and wantes to konw, if the CAM is still an option, or its better to conect the fans to the motherboard. Thanks!!! And sorry fon my english.

Please review the MasterBox MB600L with ODD. Seems like a really solid best bang for buck case.
Maybe it silly, but I want to know, can I conect the geforce gtx1080 ti waterforc (not WB!) and the kraken x62 inside this case?
What does he refer to when he says the 12 volt connector, would I need to buy something separately just to power the led light strip?
My confusion with rgb is next has CAM, Asus has aurasync, and there is a.compability with philie hue, Nzxt can work with aurasync?
Will the GeForce 1660 ti fit in there
Nah, for me still an overpriced s340 elite. 50$ are for things that i didn't care about ("smart" controller & rgb)
Nicolas Zannerini For me this case is for those looking to custom water cool - it supports a two 240mm radiators and has a build in reservoir mount.
If you are aircooling then use the s340 elite definitely
Nicolas Zannerini You DO get a bit more flexibility and options with the case itself. Depending on street price it’s a nice option.
two 240s is sad for a case this big, (H440 size) I have an Evolv Micro Atx that can take a 360 and a 280.
Meshify C ftw
it takes 2 360mm, one top and one front
For liquid cpu cooler is it better intake or exhaust?
is there a way around if I want my kraken x52 with that smart module and front 2.0 usb hook them all up all at once??
I think nzxt knew people would complain about the led light strip not spanning across the top and thats why they have that led strip extension cable
would be nice if case manufacturers would start offering the cases with OR without stock fans....
Dude that ad for the nvme was fantastic lol.
Can the led strips be placed elsewhere in the case so they are not so in your face?
I have the S340, The only reason I'm looking at this case is for the 360 rad options. Other than that its an 340 with a bunch of useless stuff
What does he mean with "the front ayo? needs to be disconnected" in 2.33. Is it the front panel (buttons/USB)?
Agreed. I hope they release this case without the "smart" addon
Dimitry, can you ask NZXT.. when will this case available in Indonesia? thank you
So is it a case to buy or not? I want a new mid tower to move my system into from my HAF 922... just want something clean and small to upgrade into.
Can I use a Asus rog strix rampage vi extreme. This motherboard is an EATX type.🤔🤔Please tell 🙄😕
Look great!
What about the new case from EVGA?
there is enough motherboard clearance to install a corsair h110i gt on the topside?
Here's what I think: it was a good idea, but ended up not being reasonable. Custom or preset fan profiles are much faster to create, with same results. We need a H700d (dumb, taken from GN), without anything but the case, which IS very sweet.
Where did you get that gorgeous psu powercable from????
Can that LED strip at the top be removed?
Is it a 240mm or 280 mm radiator used in this build?
Unrelated to the H700i, but does the NZXT Kraken works with Asus AuraSync?
S340 Elite still a better value case for the money; just wish it had a better controller position at top for fit the rad the other way around, and has space too for another top fan.
Hey man, I'm about to build a new pc. For the first time ever I'm going for a beautiful case and not just raw power. I couldn't find any information wheter the Cam software of NZXT only supports NZXT cam products, or could I use any kind of RGB brand with this software. If you (or someone who reads this and knows) could help me out, would be great! Thanks
what cooling system is that at the cpu and does it come with the case ?
The only thing that troubles me is that if the h700i comes with everything or you have to buy the things separately
Is IT just a case when you buy IT and you have to buy motherboard and stuff or does IT come with those stuff. Or does IT come build
Great, maybe this will be my new case, and I appreciate your reviews!!!! Great, thank's from Friuli
Any ideas? For now, I just plugged all the fans into my motherboard since I have a ton of fan headers on it.
what is the name of this application you use for monitoring please?
do you only need a usb 2 connctor or do you need a rgb connector to
Does the h700i come with fan splitters?
Man why all this trouble with controllers. Just blast the air from all sides into the case, have an exhaust fan and your all done. Monitor the temps of your cpu and MB through the MB and that's it. Use
be quiet PWN high flow fans or Nachtua PWN fans and be done with it. For RGB I prefer strips to give a soft light to the case. That's my thoughts. I personally like the Lian Li 011 Dynamic and Dynamic XL.
I really want this case but at $400 NZD it's just not worth it, I wonder how much of it is that smart hub?
Hue+ is 60$ and the grid+ is 30$. The thing included here is the combination of the two not currently sold separately by nzxt. So in total you can get almost 90$(just almost since the hue+ includes 2 led strips while there is only one included with the case) of value with that thing if you will actually use it.
Slothneko - Just get the S340 Elite
Frederic A. Truslow this.
I remember one next case in which the on button’s led would bleed into a USB port which case was that?
Shamonster Gaming NZXT’s H500i?
Actually there IS a microphone in that fan hub, as far as I have read.
Which one should I prefer? I was undecided. Help me pls. @HardwareCanucks
H700i ?
Phanteks Evolv X ?
just wondering, on scorptec it shows a liquid cpu cooler, does it come with one?
Really liked the track as video starts - does anybody know it's title? Thank!
The price for the 700i isn't too bad considering if you get the s340 or the h440 you'd need to replace the awful cheap fans they give you as standard compared to the decent ones in this case.
Such an amazing intro
