Does this change how you think about "retiring on dividends"?

No it just shows many people do not understand it. I do understand it would be a headache for a financial advisor to manage a lot if accounts searching quality dividends. Easier for them to use cookie cutter portfolios.

This video made me stop in my tracks. I have never made a remix video before but I will try to with this one. You have great points and I already tackled most of this angles. I want to share my views and plans to yours. I've watched a lot of financial advisor's videos and all pretty much do the same cookie cutter withdrawal strategy trying not to runout if money in 30 years. I talked to my personal financial consultant about retirement funded on dividends and they don't do it because they can't manage it like a good DYI investor. I talk him the details I look for and it sounded solid to him. I definitely don't use dividends in my accumulation phase. You have great points and I am a subscriber.
