How will you know which element to compare the lone element to? For example in the first equation, how will you know that you will compare lithium to aluminum and not SO4?
This is such a late comment and you’re probably already out of the course… but you can probably just find it on safari. BUT, teachers generally just use the elements that are on the activity series on tests and quizzes.
Kaptain Kush Yes, you are correct the equations do need to be balanced as I state at the end of the video. This video was on how to know IF a single replacement reaction occurs.
Didn't watch until the end, however, you should still balance them as it can be confusing to viewers. Nonetheless it was still a good and helpful video.
a topic my teacher couldn't teach me in two weeks, you explained in 6 minutes THANK YOU
Omg thank you so much for this! This saved me on my test!
i luv u so much thank you for explaining what my teach couldn’t

Ella Gutierrez you compare it Aluminum because Lithium and Aluminum are both metals. A metal must replace another metal in the compound.
Bless your soul!
Haha, I guess it helped.
Great video! Do you by any chance know of somewhere I could find an extended activity series?

i wish you were my teacher
Glad I could help.
Hi its me
You're doing it wrong because you aren't balancing the chemical equations.
