Hi guys! A video released on a Wednesday? Yes! It has taken me so long again to do this, so I though, why not, let's just make it live as it is finished. Work has been busy and I squeezed in a wee trip to Seattle to finally make Gold with United :D
This was the return flight from Dublin to Glasgow after having taken the then new Hainan Airlines flight from Edinburgh to Dublin that morning. It was great doing the trip with Dan from Scotrail82 (check out his channel and video of the same flight!) and meeting up with other avgeeks in Dublin to do some planespotting. The flight itself was short and comfortable. My favourite part was the seat which is the ultra slimline hardshell seat also used by Jet2. I think they are great and comfortable while being super clever with saving space and weight. Anyway, I am blabbing...enjoy the video!
Exzellent work man! Love the way you presented that small ATR 72 😝✈️
Aw cheers, Rupert! It's a great wee plane (not as good as the Dash-8 though...LOL)
Hey Nik 🙃 Never flew the ATR 72 so I can’t tell, although I heard that it’s supposed to be a rather noisy plane. 😵 Having ridden the Dash 8 I can say that I’m not a huge fan of prop aircraft. However, I enjoyed the spacious interior of the Dash 8 aboard Austrian 😊 I’ll stick with Jet engine aircraft for sure 😉 Greetings from Seville ☀️
Hehehe.....I love turboprops..I like hearing the propellers and feeling the vibrations.... like it when you can actually feel the plane if you know what I mean LOL. But jet engines are good too! Hehehehe...Oh Seville? It's been 10 years since I was last there....loved it!
Of course I do 😜 Whatever makes you happy 😉 Well I’m here in Seville because I’m abroad for one year to improve my Spanish skills 😆 Sucha beautiful city, I’m overenjoying it! ☀️🍀
Omg This ATR is the one I missed in Manchester cause of United Airlines! (Seriously). I had flown into Manchester from Newark And Was Transferring in MAN to Cork, IE. It was United airlines fault cause I had a 1hr delay in EWR. Idk why.
Great video! Love turbo props....that constant buzz is amazing! And that it flies lower gives you a different perspective in your view out. I usually don't like bus gates (had one last Sunday at HKG!), but then, as you said, it gives a magnificent close up views of the action on the apron! Dublin seems a busy airport. Your GLA flight must have been a "poor cousin" to others, hence that tucked away gate! I am imagining Irish accents mixed with Scottish accents on board....how beautiful 😀
Bus gates allow you to get close to the planes and also smell the kerosene! Hahahaha
I seriously could not understand the co pilot or was it the pilot? How would I know...I did not understand him! I remember taking a taxi from the airport into Dublin and had no clue what the taxi driver was on about! Glasgow accent is fine. Dublin accent, not so much for me! Hahahaha
@@SOPLANETUBE Yes, the kerosene smell!! Addictive for sure 😂 I find it is the use of local slangs, rather than the accent, which makes it hard to understand. When I first went up to Liverpool, I thought everyone was just singing!! Hahaha!!
Hopefully Aer Lingus will keep that stylish green in their new livery...
Yeah it will be interesting to see what they come up with but I am sure it will stay green!
Well look at where we are now!
Everyone (everyone = av geeks) hated the new livery.
Congrats on 4K! To celebrate you should post a compilation of all the times Mr Sander has photobombed you 😂
Cheers buddy! Yeah, not sure about that compilation....I'd be doing a 1K video next....LOL
Great Video Mate. Really enjoyed it. This trip was brilliant, one of my favourites of 2018, where will we go next? Also, that cameo appearance at the start, hahahahahaha.
Next thing you know, they'll be asking you for an appearance on Strictly! Hahahaha....
Great vid. I see aer lingua fly into leeds bradford and always wanted to see a trip report on then, thanks👊👍
LOL. I thought the trip to the gate was going to end up in a dark, dead end alley!
Hahahaha, yeah tell me about it! It just kept going on, door after door....was either gonna be a dark alley or super exclusive nightclub! LOL
Great Video! Just a shame about those hideous ACRO Seats. Congrats on 4K subs though!
LOL you really don't like those seats, do you? Hahahaha
SOPLANE No, I don’t! It’s probably because I have quite a bony back because of my slim build. I can get a bit sore. An hour hop to Dublin is fine but can you imagine the poor people who fly Jet2 to NYC?!?! (mind I still would love to do that flight)
Yeah I was thinking about the NYC flights as well! Not sure if even I would like that....will just have to try one day hahahaha
No Laviator? I don't know, standards are slipping ;)
I am SO SO sorry! Hahaha. It was a combination of having a camel bladder and short flight time. I'll drink more water next time!
@@SOPLANETUBE 🤣🤣
Are you living in Ireland?
No, I live in Scotland.
"Airport buses have the best views"...maybe if you gave us a chance to actually judge for ourselves by NOT fast forwarding..lol.
Haha haha....I had the same thought when I watched the final cut but I could not be bothered doing it again LOL. You just have to go see it for yourself 🤣
@@SOPLANETUBE Great reply! :)
Did I see two Emirates planes? 🤔
Eagle eyes! One of them had gone tech that day which is why there were two of them.
SOPLANE Haha - ah I see.
This made me jealous I'd love to try shamrock I'll be flying out of Glasgow in 2 weeks
Where are you going? Shamrock was good. I flew them years ago though to Chicago and it was one of the worst flights ever. It was quite comical but it was when Aer Lingus was going through a rough patch.
SOPLANE I'm off to Heathrow on BA then a 747 to Miami
Awesomeness! Will be great to get on the 747! It's been nearly 2 years since I last flew on one...
SOPLANE it sure will I'll have the videos on RUclips certainly
