That floor is stunning! So is that bed. Maybe you should close the door to the hallway and put a towel at the bottom to try to guard against so much dust from the construction coming into your bedroom. It is looking so beautiful and glad you are closer to moving in! Can’t wait to see which dress you pick.

You can purchase a zipper plastic doorway. Apply with painters tape to the four edges. Alternatively, two overlapping sheets of plastic, or even two sheets will go a long way to keeping dust out of the bedroom. I lived in a remodel for 9 months. While they did the bathroom feet from our bed.

You have motivated me!! I’m off to my living room to clean. One small suggestion tho, cover your furniture unless you are planing on refinishing and reupholstering everything. With the amount of dust you guys are making , covering the furniture will help to preserve the pieces. Enjoy the shower and love your idea about the dress. That money can be used for something else more important. 🏠

My friend bought her dress (second marriage also) off the sale rack at Lord & Taylor for a song. It was absolutely beautiful! It was a lovely dusty lilac color which was fine with her, but they had a zillion of them! Because wedding season has just passed, it’s definitely another option. Lots of bridesmaids or guest dresses marked down.

Hubby works in construction and he got one of those power tool fans and let me tell you that it felt like we had ac on obviously we have multiple batteries so when one went out he had another one ready. Highly recommend this especially for hot days or nights. And use the bucket method to shower that’s what we used to do it in Mexico when we would visit our grandparents in the ranch 😅

Maintenance cleaning is a very important job, but using a vacuum really sucks! (JOKE!) I love the wood flooring! Very simular to the floor in the house my Great Grandmother lived in in Poughkeepsie, N. Y. Except it didn't have a third floor servants quarters. It was intended to be a vacation house for a rich person. It only had a master bedroom, one servents bedroom and two trunk storage rooms. Plus a master bathroom upstairs across from the master bedroom and a half bath down stairs next to the kitchen. It had the full mirror in the wall before the staircase in the entrance hallway like your house. The livingroom was on the right. The diningroom was between the livingroom and the kitchen. The livingroom had pocket doors like the one's you found.

Back in the day the marble top is where you’d put your pitcher n bowel n the large door was where the chamber pot went. Yours is so pretty n has style. I have two of them but their kinda plain. I know what you mean trying to sleep when it’s hot at night. You definitely can’t get a good sleep. I’m sure come summer time it will be hotter. Better start looking for the air conditioner soon. Twelve to sixteen weeks for a bridal gown is not unusual depending upon the design. Most bridesmaid dresses will usually have a barely acceptable look about them. But mostly not something you would want to wear again. You might try contacting a local theatrical costumer to whom you can express the look you are going for and in the deep emerald green you desire, a good costumer, can design something that for you will be a classic look and in an appropriate fabric unlike those used in typical bridesmaid dresses. This might also take some time to produce, however, not the time that the various bridal shops tend to take, and you could also not run into a typical thing in the bridal industry, that they try to blame you when they have made a mistake. A good costume designer can make you look like Eliza Doolittle going to the royal ball or like Anna dancing with the king of Siam. And be stunning in every way. It is the kind of project that they would want many photos of for their own portfolios. And they would keep on top of the costs of materials, the cutting and building of the gown and the crucial part , the final fitting. That is where bridal shops usually make the mistakes. As they cannot be on top of the seamstresses the way a theatrical costume designer is. Unlike bridal shops, theatrical costumers do not have to pay fees to a commercial designer on top of the actual costs. Remember that your wedding day is equivalent to being the star in a Broadway show. But it is the opening of a commitment you are making for, if possible, your entire life. I write in these terms as I have a career of over half a century in live theatrical production and was married to a professional actress, model ,singer , and poetess. We did the “death do us part” and had 38 1/2 years together. While you are still young, you are entering into what now would be like a set from a play .The closest being “ Life With Father”. This should not mean that you have to comport yourself in that era. You are living in the 21st Century not the late 19- early 20th.
A side note. Most campsites/ Rv parks, operate under the equivalent of Hotel/ Motel law and if there is residence over 28 days, it can be considered as a permanent residence. Something that changes their business status. That us why they want her to move. Some May willing to have an RV just change campsites as each numbered site is like a motel room. Good luck.

The floors are to die 😍
You didn't ask... but... I eloped so I didn't have time to buy a "real" wedding dress. I tried on a ton of styles to get an idea of what I liked then searched clothing sites I already shop from for a white dress in a similar style. I then took it to my regular tailor. I was able to get a dress that fit beautifully in under a month and for under $300 including alterations.

What store online did you buy from? I was looking at birdy grey and revelry for bridesmaid dresses in emerald or white and they take 12-16 weeks too. So frustrating.

The one from David’s bridal is gorgeous though. beta.davidsbridal.com/product/flutter-sleeve-georgette-wrap-bridesmaid-dress-f20039?defining_size_family=126&defining_extra_length=1&defining_color=531 I’m going for the shade juniper. In pictures it looks nice and true green. I hope it’s not closer to teal in person.

I like it a lot. The light blue part has clean water and you spin out the dirty water into the lower part. You control letting the fresh water into the little reservoir.

Roflmao! I have super bad vision as well (-10.0 prescription plus a super super high astig) and get mocked for wearing glasses when swimming. I dont wear mine to sleep but i do now keep a backup pair in safe spot so when i do randomly knock glasses off nightstand and cant find them i have pair i put on and can see my usual pair. Never thought id meet someone with similar quirks concerning vision!

Wow you weren’t joking about it being dusty!!
Not healthy breathing that in all day and night, especially having pets exacerbates the situation. Its tough to stay on top of it but making a weekly commitment to do routine cleaning makes it less overwhelming in the long run.

beautiful floors, and I am the sort of idiot that would say have someone make a lovely 1890's gown for your wedding, but I also know how long it takes to make a full trousseau.

Thank you so much for your blah blah blah, love it. I checked on line, and there are some really beautiful emerald green gowns for brides/bridesmaids/mother of the bride. Beautiful color. You like clean and clutter free, I can tell, because I do too. Closets and drawers might be overflowing and messy, but nobody sees that. Would you invest in a pair of ear plugs? Thanks for another cute vlog. Hi to Kaleb.

I love the inlays on those floors. So Jealous. In all seriousness if Kaleb's snoring is that bad then he should probably get tested for sleep apnea. If that is the cause of his snoring then getting on a c-pap will both eliminate his snoring and make him much more refreshed and energetic during the day. I know from personal experience.

I bet the dogs are happier now that they can come with you to the house. I thought your yard was much smaller until the video with the dogs playing in the yard. I guess the house is so big it just makes the yard look small.
