That yacht has a fly bridge. A fly bridge is a secondary bridge on the top of the yacht for easier navigation. It has several purposes but largely to do with convenience
Storage on rafts was a great add, about time. Now if we can get different sizes of sails? Or more sails for more speed with a 3 or 4 sail cap, that would be amazing.
Awesome to see that they are updating the game once again! I like the character progression elements that they've added, though I wish that they had done something useful with the Sleep stat rather than ditch it entirely. With the addition of the tanker I think they should add scuba gear that can be crafted. I can't imagine trying to explore that tanker while being underwater -- you'd need a bunch of air tanks and some breath boosts just to be able to get to everything. I'd also personally like to see an inventory system that is a bit more realistic, such as only being able to carry one crate, but make it so that crate can contain twenty items, or maybe have weight limits on how much can be carried at one time. I use shelter 8, the upturned boat on my user made island. The camp-bed fits nicely inside with room for 2 or 3 crates. I deliberately placed it within a small grove of permanent trees so there is shade all day. I love the camping ⛺️ style of play with small bases on several islands rather than a huge estate. The game gets better and better. I really love the turtles the groupers and the whale sharks. The raft racks are such a godsend love the way they did them however, I still want to be able to attach a lantern , perhaps the devs could allow us to place a hook at the end panel of the rack, that way the lantern could be used at a base or on the raft.
That upper helm is called a flying bridge! Many vessels over 25 or 30 ft have them as options. The bigger the vessel the more likely the existence of a flying bridge! Love your videos.
Larger modern boats have two driver seats, yes. One on the skybridge (when the weather is nice). And one with a roof over when the weather is not so great.
Oh FUCK... Im naturally afraid of the water like broadbent is with snakes. The tanker is my personal nightmare! XD But nevertheless so fucking cool. :P
@@Laghagua when I started playing this game I was extremely afraid of entering the water because I knew that the game had sharks, basically a phobia, now after almost a month of playing I enter the water with some control over the fear. but when I'm returning to land I swim like crazy to get out asap :´P
I really hate the fact that crafting is now locked behind a level. The game puts you in a survival situation and than sais "go waste resources crafting shit to level up" not really immersive. Also if I have the parts to craft something I want to be able to craft that and not grind for an hour just to get the required skill, this just feels like padding game time.
Thanks im not the only person who thinks that way. Its okay you have some 'learning progress' (so maybe simply build faster, use fewer recorces etc.) but to LOCK and FORCE in an unlogical way (how to say wood takes more praxis then 'dift wood'? :O) is also not my cup of tea.
I haven't played this game in years... so I have not really any idea as of now what I'm talking about now, and if this would be possible... But I personally would love to make my base in that DC-3 wreck. Is that even possible?
fyi the 2 driver sets thing is common on larger boats as if its nice u can drive youre boat whilst being in the sun and if its rough or bad weather u go below to drive
Reguarding the Tool belt, It should no longer hold a space in the inventory, as they are now hanging from your belt. I hope they take that into considerstion as it is an upgrade and something to look forward to. after all you are upgrading your physical attribute and should be able to carry more.
New sub here, its seems hunting does work but at the time u made this video it didnt gain from spears lol they fixed it now tho, i just read it in some patch notes... @@Laghagua her shoes are office shoes, she wasn't planning on being in a crashed plane and survival situation. Those are the type of shoes I wear to work so seems plausible to me.
@@Sol-l4i4d Not necessarily, dumbass, the devs can make a simple one piece roof-canopy for the rudder. It doesn't HAVE to work like buildings. Don't DUH me if you're gonna be that wrong. Realize that the devs can do wtf they want, they aren't bound by that ''roofs need walls'' mechanic. Fuck off, your walls would just make the raft into something hard to get onto, and completely fuckin useless.
While i do like that this game has become more fun and less of a chore (thanks to the updates) but it's so much repetition that it wears on you after a few hours. There are no human AIs to interact with and it's %30 keeping up food/water (which gets old after a while) just begins to drag down the whole experience. I've played pretty efficiently and it's still taken hours to get serious supplies with a large enough raft and you start asking "Why can't i just build housing on a raft?" because, everywhere you go (unless you leave in 5 mins) you need three things: campfire, water collector, and a save point and it wastes a TON of resources that could be used. That being said.....why is there no "discovery" mapping system? Honestly, it's a pain in the ass to have to look at a compass (that you can't MOUNT to the raft) and well....as cool as it is, there are much needed improvements.
I can't figure out how to update. In the game profile I've selected auto update but it won't. And I see no option to force one. I've also verified files 100% but still it's not updating.
The game lacks content extremely even now. I finally beat the game tonight on day 87 and I gotta say If you didnt have these things before than it would of been more underwhelming. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed most of the game and the price was great. Problems is after you seen 6 islands and searched 6 wrecks you have seen the entire game.
Take the extra time to craft a station to make leather and make refined spears. Throw as many as you can at the hammer head and keep the last spear for jabbing. As it swims by, grab impaled spears and get back on the raft and keep at it until it's dead and HOPE you're not in deep water. LOL!
I know it sucks :( Hopefully they add them to console soon because I told my friend he could build a cargo ship with container shelves then it turns out they didn't exist in console

Broadbent it makes sense the containers did not fall off the raft becase it looks built in when you build and put the containers on

Loving the update! Started a game on Hard mode and loving the upped difficulty. It's much more like The Long Dark, which I love.
i hope in a later patch they give you the option to kill turtles an use the shell as a water gatherer like The Forest
