Very cool riding spot! The wide angle looks good for sure, but around 9:06 you mention not seeing much of a difference. I agree. Maybe If you take it out of 8:7 format, it doesn’t look much different from hyperview? If I remember correctly, there’s some other benefits to the wide angle lense, but it’s good to know hyperview (on the 13 black) works good too. I just got a 13 for Xmas and I’m still trying out various settings, having started with Remi’s settings from his recent vid. Unfortunately folks in other vids don’t go into enough detail about reducing breathing and wind noise, which is a challenge for sure. I have the same mini dead cats you’re using but they don’t work that effectively in that small size. Maybe the other benefit of wide angle 8:7 format is in steeps? After filming myself a couple times I realize how the cam does indeed make everything much flatter, except for climbs ironically, the one thing most folks don’t care to watch. It makes me appreciate how hard the full timer creators work to get the awesome footage, and the risks they must be taking. Anyway, your footage looks sick and your riding is great too. As I start out in RUclips, I’m thankful it isn’t my sole source of income because I realize I’ll run thru the gambit of my filming locations pretty soon, unless I want to put in some serious car mileage, but at least it’ll be fun for awhile to add something new into the riding mix when I go out. I just subbed, looking forward to your new uploads! Thanks man. Happy New Year!
Looking forward to more MTB Flow in 2025!!! Honestly, think the "short-clip" RUclips scene did a number on my brain. Trying to kick that habit. Prefer the 5min/10min vids. Always like the vids showing morning ride drive-up/gear-up/coffee up routines before trail riding. It pumps you up to go ride. Your MTB Flow crew rides were always fun to watch, Noms, Stone, the Fiend Cordero with his spoke-slicing steez. : )
@@elduran8686 thanks man! I feel the same at times with the short form stuff 😵💫 I appreciate it and thanks for the feedback 🙌🏼 haha yeah I wish those guys still rode!
Keep doing what you like to do man! I always enjoy just watching you ride, especially being in SoCal it's a great way for me to scope out new trails and know what's out there✌
Cool trails, they remind me of my home trails in Simi. Happy new year ! 2025 will be a good year as a mountain biker. Don't follow trends. Im 51 and still ride my bike several times a week. I have a Niner Rip9 and a Salsa Cassidy freeride bike. Still stoked on mountain biking.
We always appreciate the content. It's been rough with a lot of heavy hitters no longer posting, and content quality has gone DOWN lol... Watching it slowly turn into memes/viral shorts instead of focus on the riding. No bueno. Let me know if you're up by LA and want to ride some weird sh!t, not like Simi/Wilson, but weird coastal shtuff lol
I look forward to seeing MTB flow in 2025.

You almost lost me about 2/3 the way through the monologue. Maybe deliver long messages like that while riding?

No more yt decoy?
I got rid of the Decoy a while back 😬
The wide angle lens looks way better, much less fisheye.
