Majority of Canadians Want Fighting Banned from Hockey

- Full disclosure: Ryan feels strongly that fighting is an important part of hockey. But, there are several compelling arguments to ban fighting from the game. We know more about short- and long-term effects of repeated blows to the head. We've lost several former NHL heavyweights to suicide, while many more suffer long-term effects of CTE. Maybe it's not surprising a majority of Canadians polled (including self-identified "true hockey fans") would take fighting out of the game for good.

Are you an avid hockey fan that is really disturbed by fights?
Do you really care such that as a stakeholder there is an outcome from fighting that affects you?
No Ryan, once again you pick a topic and stir the pot while really having no investment in the outcome either way.
"Are we okay with that"? Who is "we"? Are you a designate as such?
Enforcement is a unique part of hockey that is subtle. Just as rugby or cricket has elements that are the same and those nuances are acknowledged at an expert level. I am ok with hockey's enforcers because it enables the Crosby, Bedard, Francis and Gretzky types to flourish. I am sure a retort could be, "we have rules for that". Ya... go make rules.
I realize now why I keep watching your topics Jesperson. I watch because it gives me a pulse reading, a thermometer temp so to speak - on what the mediocre mainstream opinions are that circulate and continue to make life less exciting. Ryan - go rock climbing, hold a firework in your hand, wear face paint, break a tennis racquet - do something - please, but don't go out in your neighborhood suburb and petition for speed bumps to be installed by your municipality. Desist with your anemia.

hes a liberal troll prob paid directly from the government, every topic discussed is how conservative bad / liberal NDP position good, and if the public isnt behind it he will get someone on to blow smoke up the issues ass (carbon tax), the NDP and liberals use it as a platform to try to control issues but he isnt a very good host and this show is shit so good thing his reach is limited
