- Miss Monroe is finally here! Less than a week ago I was bidding on this little one eye'd welsh pony and now she's finally here. She's already such a special part of our little herd and I can't wait to watch her grow with you all.

She literally doesn't even care that you are on her blind side... So brave!
She was clearly raised very well, I don't understand how she could end up in a sad auction, with a possibly worrisome future.
When all the horses came out to see her I was BAWLING! I’m so happy you were able to give her a second chance at life, Amber, it’s heart warming to see rescues get what they finally deserve!
I feel like this video came to me at the right time! One of my horses will most likely have to have her right eye removed soon due to chronic uveitis so it's such a good dose of positivity to see Missy living her best life even with one eye! Good luck with this sweet little girl, love you and all you do Amber!

That pony is gonna make a little kid so happy one day, she is absolutely gorgeous and has such a bright career ahead of her with you as her trainer. That career may end up being playing dress up for Halloween shows or even just being a paddock princess, but I can definitely see her living life.
wouldn't she be cute, pulling a decorated cart? paint the cart, put flowers on it, put flowers in her mane, etc.

to a welsh owner to another they are literally the cutest but you've always got to be carful of foundering. mine a little red roan gelding and he used to be a little nuisance but hes gotten so much better

Missy is just perfect, a very well put together Welsh Mountain type A. You might want to try showing her in hand as she grows and develops, it’s fun to do and is great education for when she has her own little person who wants to go to shows 😁. You have really got a belter there, I don’t think she is going to have a deficit due to the one eye. It’s clearly not her personality!
I have been around a couple of horses with one eye and others with poor vision in one eye and honestly in the majority of cases you don’t even realise they have a missing eye until you are showing them love and get a shock when you move their forelock lol!

New viewer here! I see you are in Australia! I was surprised when Missy wasn’t quarantined like the auction horses I see on US channels. Perhaps your auctions actually require vet documentation of a clean bill of health. Anyways it was so nice for her, that she could just meet her new friends right away! She’s truly a gem.

Our welsh pony runs the show with our big boys. He puts them in their place right away. They are fierce little ones with so much to offer! Congrats on your new friend!

She's adorable!!! And with how confident she is around the other horses, I'm more worried about whatever she might've picked up at the auction transmitting to the others than of her getting hurt when introducing them. She seems very capable of handling herself around the big guys 😂

She is so adorable! There were so many funny and adorable things I can’t even list them all. The other horses were adorable as well, and they did some funny things too!🤣 It was hilarious when the dog peed right in front of her pastures gate and you said “That’s not very nice”! And the dog stopped and stared at you. And then you said “Sorry Missy”. And Missy was just staring at the dog the whole time. 🤣😂😂🤣😆 She is so amazing and she is such a brave little pony. I think she will be a good horse for littler kids to ride!

For a pony that small i hope no adult is going to be starting her undersaddle! Shes a sweet thing and i hope she can grow up happy and healthy for you!
… how do you think ponies are started under saddle? She will have a weight appropriate adult backing her after I have done all the on ground starting work. I will not be putting a child on her initially as not only does it put them at risk it risks her having the best foundations she can have.
@@amber_matthews Well, im just confused. Most ponies, especially your cute little girl's size really dont have to be ridden at all! If shes 2 that means she will maybe get a hand or 2 taller, which is still very very small!! im glad your going for a weight appropriate rider, as thats better than a lot of pony owners here on youtube! Im sorry if i came off rude, as that was not my intention! I was just a little worried due to so many ponies getting hurt by adults trying to ride them!

Amber NOOO!!!! NOW I HAVE PONY FEVER!!!!! 😭😩 I’m a 5’9” adult woman who would never be riding one but what if my giant geldings want a tiny cute girlfriend?!!???!? What if my husband gets me pregnant and we have a baby?!??? They’ll need a pony right???!?!?? lol Seeming like a necessity to me right now! 😂

And I think her name Monroe fits her perfectly. She’s beautiful just like Marilyn Monroe and she has this sweet but confident air about her, which is the feeling I always got from watching Marilyn Monroe and honestly, you can’t even tell that She only has one eye. It’s almost as if she’s aware of it so she has perfected, her forelock perfectly to cover it! I’ve ridden a few horses with only one eye. One of them was a trail horse he was an Appaloosa who had moon blindness, so he went blind gradually overtime, and only staff was allowed to ride him to be a lead horse when pushing trails and he was literally trained voice commands for everything plus he had been at the stable for years and years, and we kept him and all of his things in the same place.in Prospect Park Brooklyn. This is in the 90s one they were still quite a few staples in the five borough and two in prospect Park at the end all he could see was like a pinhole And then in the same era of my life when I was between the age of 16 and 23, when I used to push trail rides in Jamaica Bay, Queens, the same Jamaica Bay from X-Men there was a woman who boarded her horse and he was in an accident and the entire eyeball had to be surgically removed. He, Spooked in a trail ride and poked his eye out on a branch and they did it in the way that it was just like a hole in his head like it looked absolutelycrazy. you could probably fit a baseball in the eyesocket. I used to had it whenever I had to green the barn which we had about 200 horses, altogether private, and the stables and I think that since your girl lost her eyesight so young I don’t think it’s gonna affect her one bit with that coloring and confirmation and that adorable face she is going to be perfect. I’m not sure the rules and your country but she could definitely do. The schooling shows here and the lower rated ones.
