Thanks for this. You rules seem really simple and clear. I do know someone on BGG created their own print and play activation cards but I haven’t had the chance to play them yet.
I have been testing doing objectives by pulling an activation card reviewing the board to see if it is more advantageous for the AI to resolve that card or play to achieve the objectives. It does require me “play the AI” more than I’d like but it lets me play more scenarios.
God I hope Cyberpunk’s AI is better than this half assed attempt

Sadly this was a cash grab. Glad I got it for the minis and I am worried about the Cyberpunk one too.

Thank you for the excellent video! I started out using the CMON rules for AI and it was very punishing. I then tried out your rules and they worked great! The AI is still hard but it seemed to be more fair. Your changes make a lot of sense and are easy to implement.

That was a great video. I love how you figured out a way to use the existing components of the game to run the game better. Thanks for sharing!

Hi, good video and work! Have you updated your version in BGG?

I feel like the fact that the ai does zilch on the escalations and only has a single attack and skill balances nicely. Its rough but not as rough as other ai systems

I'm fine with the character activations for the AI, it's the Strategy phase that feels very overpowered for them.

I really like the way you used the controller cards as part of the AI strategy turn. It’s so sad that the AI structure to this game is so busted. As a mainly solo player AND a huge MotU fan boy, I was really looking forward to it.
Hoping CMON actually listens to the community and puts out promoter AI rules/changes/cards/whatever they need to do it functions and is fun to play.

The only way I have played is against the AI and it was so confusing and punishing I got pretty irritated. (Only played the rescue scenario) I have recently had time to do some research of how it is supposed to work so going to probably try again tonight and hoping for a better time. I am very interested in trying out the way you have explained but haven't been able to play with a group and used anyone as the controller so once I do I will give your way a try as it sounds like it would work pretty well. A few other things that have confused me is moving onto a rock as I thought it was only 2 movement because the card says 2 not 2 extra but after some research it sounds like it's actually 3. Could you confirm if possible what it is? I'm sure I'll have more questions but really appreciate the video and information. Keep up the good work I'll be subscribing to your channel as you have provided the best information. Thanks

The way I have been playing movement onto rocks is that it take an extra point of movement to move on and off them. Once you are on them you can
I’ve around like normal. So if I start one space away from a rock, I can move adjacent to it and then move on top. That ends my move action. Hope that makes sense.

@@TheMeepleMarathon I'm pretty sure it takes 2 extra points of movement to move onto a rock. So basically you have to be adjacent to the rock and then spend 3 movement points to move onto it.

I’ve designed and published games with a scaling player count. Because I am a solo gamer, I made sure that all of my games are solo playable. With the money they got from this, a few AI controller cards should have been a given. Time and effort to make it good would only improve their reputation and customer satisfaction. That’s upsetting.

The AI helper card says to draw (play) 2 activation cards

This is pretty cool! I'll try it out tonight.
The way I've been playing is 1 strategy card and reading down the list. Only drawing a second one if the card says so. I also always shuffle the character activation. But I never shuffle the strategy activation. I only shuffle that after it is empty. Then ambush doesn't keep happening.
Question for you. When the AI spawns...how do you determine which point?

Good content. AI is not acceptable, but the bones of a good system are there. I think it's probably better to simply play as controller and a couple of characters, trying to optimize both sides.

The quality is not as good as the pictures led me to believe, I'm assuming the artwork looks the best at the smaller sizes, but for the price, I'm not complaining. I may even pick up another one.
