- There has always been tension between the three of them...this video captures some of their angst and sets it to music.

Luka and Abby are the better couple for me. Carter wanted to change Abby where Luka loved Abby with all her faults and did not try to change her, he supported her
Carby has that fascination of two opposites that seem to never meet. It was thrilling watching these two when it was complicated and impossible and stagy. But I definately prefer Luby. I feel like she's better preserved with Luka. Abby will never be all sunshiny and healed and he knows how to deal with that.
That was my exact problem with Carby. He always wanted to change her. Luka loved her for who she was and never wanted to change her, he focused on making her happy. And helping her when she needed it. He was better at keeping her grounded.

haha this was great! Personally, I preferred Carter and Abby, but I did like Luka and Abby too. Once Carter left the show, I figured if she couldn't be with him she might as well be with Luka haha, she had to end up with one of those two in my opinion. I think the 3 of them were great together in general, not only was Abby great with both guys, but I loved the friendship that Carter and Luka developed. They became really close friends, one of my favorite friendships on the show actually.
Carter and Abby always the only reason why I watched the show
I always preferred Abby with Carter and Luka with Carol. Even though Carol and Doug are OTP and obviously needed to end up together, Carol and Luka had that one thing between them that he never had with Abby in my eyes. Same thing for Carter and Abby, they just had that spark between them.
No, she and Luka ended up together. I don't have anything against Luka, but I definitely liked Abby and Carter!

I wonder how Abby and Carter could have worked had Noah Wyle not left the show to be with his family. They struck me as a promising couple from the moment their romantic tensions flared in season 7. They only lasted one season and that ruined the potential they had, not that she and Luka didn't work out in the end.
Carter and Abby seemed to work better as friends. I feel like they had promise, but the issue was Carter was always so worried about Abby, and tried to change her. They loved each other, but they did not work as a couple. Luka and Abby really balanced each other out.
I think that scene with Pratt would've just happened in Chicago, he'd still have had that moment where he realised she'd made her choice, Lubby was meant to be. Carter chose to go to Africa twice over her Luka actively chose to stay because of her.

Abby and Carter were friends first, but she dated Luka first. Abby and Luka broke up in season 8 partly because Luka was jealous of Abby and Carter's relationship.
It's been awhile but I'm pretty sure it's "Hindsight" from season 9. Great episode.
