Over 2000 people have watched this channel and decide, heck yeah I'm subscribing this is good stuff - the RCA coding is a really nice touch, from when companies like RCA had a more organized view of technology and probably wore white lab coats. I did lol at "Y" for "Yite"
I just got this exact tv, really cool you got a picture on it, I think your in Canada so maybe you can still get analog channels but I can’t where I’m at, so if you feeding it another way I would love to know!
I have a home-made cable TV setup in my house that provides analog channels. Unfortunately analog TV shut down in Canada in 2011 in the major markets, and I'm pretty sure it's gone even in the rural areas too now.
@@probnotstech oh that’s cool, yea I had heard there might be like 2 or 3 analog stations still transmitting in Canada so I was just curious. I might try something like what you set up in the future, but for now I hooked it up to a VCR using the antenna cable with something that I don’t remember the name of right now that converts it to something the analog TV can use. So I’ve been watching old VHS stuff on it. It’s honestly surprised me how good the picture was back then. The only thing I could pick up with it’s onboard antenna was some sort of radio station.
I used to have a goldstar set from 85 but the CRT got used up on it. Do to me long it to friend at antique mall who used it to play old cartoons on it. Now I have a 1975 GE tube hybrid model that still works on all it's factory parts and with no service being needed.
Got 13 inch color nob tuned RCA set from 1984 unfortunately it has a dead tuner and if you connect let's say a VCR/RF you most of time depending on how strong the rf is you get very weak looking picture. I have once got it display a clear signal but it only came in B/W with no color. I have no clue what's wrong with it so put it away for a later date
I've never seen a mechanical tuner with channel 13 at the top instead of U.
It still looks wrong to me. Just another thing RCA did differently on their TVs, I guess.
Just bought this exact model off ebay. Can't wait for it to show up! Going in the garage for Twilight Zone episodes on rainy nights.
This set has a similar design to my 1977 all woodgrain RCA 12-inch set. The tube in yours looks pretty damn bright too!
They're pretty much identical from what I can tell

He is from Canada or otherwise he wouldn’t get CBC.
