  • Quakers are a community of humans, many are Christian, many are Jews, many have no time for any belief set and see themselves more aligned with Buddhist beliefs. Selden talks about varying religious beliefs, and lack of them, in this Sunday evening talk sponsored by the Religious Education Committee of the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia aka Arch Street Friends.

Thanks for your comment. This talk is entirely Seldon's opinion. Quakers do not have a faith statement, you probably know this, and what he believes belongs to him.

Interesting video though I do have two things that don't necessarily sit right with me. 1, the universe being as vast as it is actually makes life incredibly improbable rather than likely, let alone conscience life. The factors are so precise ot seems unlikely for something to come put of nothing on its own. 2, in an NDE It's much more than seeing and feeling things. Many people have testimonies of having awareness of conversations and events in space time that they should not have been able to at the NDE. The brain is part of the body, when it shuts down the mind should as well but we see the opposite of this in NDEs.
