You absolutely smashed it with the arena! I think having a limited amount of wind charges would help make people interact with the (amazing) arena more. The slime pit can be avoided by bursting out if you get stuck, and since theres no delay on it you'r not as vulnerable as hitting the noteblock. Having a limited amount would mean you have to choose to waste a charge getting out or take the push out. It would also mean that if you are low on wind charges because you are too agressive or wasteful, you are forced to use the trap doors in the middle, and then chain armorstand jumps to travel distance which would still allow for a chance at winning, just a disadvantage. There is also the possibility of combining this with a few less op fooditems, so if you hit someone once you're incentivised to go for the kill, but if you miss too many times while they heal because you're rushing you are wasting recourses. I can definitely imagine Joels playstyle with limited being he would thirst for a kill as fast as possible and use too many wind charges since he is more aggressive (in pvp), and then cub playing more passive wasting joels charges waiting for him to be out. I think this makes sense for this fight club, because unlike the others (You couldn't have limited arrows/fireworks or swords as then you couldn't get the kill) you can use the environment to damage/get kills on the opponent, and the wind charges are like an item you can use as a shortcut. That being said, the arena alone adds enough strategy to the fight, so i don't think it's necessary, and if i were to implement it it could maybe be like a hard mode?
This! Great ideas, the dispensers as well, I was about to say something similar to this as i thought that the awesome arena was being underused because of the abundence of wind charges.
I have plans to add a system to do pretty much what you're suggesting with the wind charges; I just had forgotten to talk about it in the video; a classic me move 😅
It being essentially a waltz definitely helps, and the music box intro basically acts like a countdown to begin. Like you said, perfect song first the arena.

The whole arena is genuinely so well designed for mace combat and looks like such a blast. The ballroom theming almost perfect for the calculated and intentional fighting style that is required for the mace, especially with the way the room is designed so that all details can actually be used to your advantage in combat. Like the second floor, the chandeliers, the armor stands; all allow for the vertical movement of the mace to be utilized to its full potential. Plus, the whole "hidden in plain sight" idea was executed so well. The ballroom goes from being a beautifully detailed build on its own, to an excellently designed fighting arena. The music playing and sections of the floor raising and opening up make for such a cool effect. Excellent work Pearl!
A 1on1 fight with maces in a big space like that really does resemble a dance, which is fitting for the ballroom (very impressive btw, both in terms of looks and functionality)
The way the areana opened up and the music started... the feeling that went through me, it was a mixture of awe and a sort of fear, the transformation practically took my breath away.

For tango, if you can deliver an wolf that is tamed by someone who doesnt play HH (or an alt acct) that would make him very happy because he struggles so much woth standing the wolf up.

Also charming that an area meant for bloodshed is given this glamorous style. Reminds of sth like nobel renaissance duel celebration. Amazing job indeed, pearl! The video title was no exaturation.

When Pearl activated the arena with the accompanying music, it felt so much like an elegant boss battle was about to commence! The ballroom is such a cool idea for an arena!!
Seeing Etho and Pearl duke it out in the ballroom is absolutely amazing and honestly beautiful! Etho’s random starting comment, “Let the Dance of Death begin”, or something of the sorts, just gives me this awesome picture of Etho and Pearl dressed in like a suit and a dress as they battle it out in the grand ballroom! A beautiful ballroom bash this was!!
love love love how the ballroom pvp arena came out!! with all the recently added music discs, it gave it just the right amount of elegance for a ballroom setting but enough hype for a cool pvp battle! super excited to see when the other fight club members get to try this out also :D
Hey Pearl, you created a beautiful ballroom, I have one suggestion for you regarding the orchestra. The orchestra would be facing the center of the ballroom with the conductor facing the window. This serves two realistic purposes: first so that the sound can resonate through the room without bouncing back into the musician's faces and deafening the conductor, and second, to use the natural light to illuminate the sheet music they would be following while playing. I say this as someone who has been in a high school orchestra and many different band ensembles.
Yes! I felt something was off with that part but it didn't come to my mind... It is such a small detail, but it would make that corner of this amazing ballroom much better, even with just blank armour stands!
Absolutely incredible build, the way the colours and details come together is so, so cool, and it also looks really fun to fight in, especially with the music (hehehe, it's almost like a dance - great choice for a ballroom). My dad walked behind me while I was watching the interior reveal and stopped to stare, going "DID SOMEONE BUILD THAT??? THAT'S A MINECRAFT BUILD?????" XD. He's just learning how to play and I've been showing him Hermitcraft videos for inspiration, and he thinks you're all incredibly cool XD. Loved the episode and I'm looking forward to seeing what Etho does with fishing rods :D.
The hidden PVP arena might be one of my favorite things Pearl's ever built. It's just so cool!! The hidden-in-plain sight aspect is so unique and distinctive, the redstone popping out obstacles into the open, and even the decorative armor stands becoming a functional piece of terrain for combat?? It's definitely my favorite Fight Club venue thus far, hehe. And Etho is such a great choice to add to the club.
I love and adore the mini Pearl during the montage around 18:00. So genius and so funny. I love this episode a lot, such a pleasure to watch you build, do redstone or whatever you up to Pearlo. Much love and support from little me from Sweden ❤
27:39 It is worth noting that slime blocks don't stick to Glazed Terracotta as well. A furnace doesn't stick to slime because it's an immovable block due to being a container, but Glazed Terracotta has the unique property of being movable, but not sticking to slime or honey
my god Pearl you sound like Mumbo talking about redstone! 😂😂 this is amazing, I love seeing you digging into redstone a little more every season! what a role reversal with Mumbo become more of a builder now hahaha!
I love seeing you flabbergasted from the gifts. Your last secret Santa present I saw(when you gave Cleo another Cleo I think 2 years ago in s9) was my favorite episode of all of hermitcraft and I still go back to it when I need some laughs, so seeing you get some lovely presents and being completely overwhelmed from them is wonderful and I hope you(and everyone else of course) had a wonderful Christmas time and lovely start into the new year!
I have been looking forward to this so much! Streams are fun and all, but there’s nothing like coming home to a new Pearl HC episode! The arena is phenomenal, and Etho was an excellent choice to help show it off. You’ve really outdone yourself on this one, from the launch pads to the flying machines to the beacons synced up to the music and of course the beautiful theming of the build around it. Thanks for sharing!
At this point, Tango 1000% qualifies as a full-on game designer, with the only plot twist being that he does all his coding and design assets in Minecraft!
Genuinely one of the best Hermitcraft episodes ever made. So packed with variety and great moments. By 9 mins in I could tell this one was special. Very well done Pearl.
The arena turned out amazing!! Creator is my favorite disc and it fits the vibe so well, it makes me imagine y'all fighting and jumping to the beat As for the new member, i really wasn't expecting them but they're such a good addition, I can't wait to see their arena!
Beside being awesome already, I'd say Pearl is the most improved player on Hermitcraft this season. So many new cool things. Awesome builds were a thing for a long time, but the redstone is a real good advancement. Can't say being better at games, seeing Pearl is the one beating Decked Out 2, so no surprise she's awesome at "Hungry Hermits" as well. :) Really nifty arena, hidden in the ballroom until activated and good choice of weapon. If feel the new members need to fight at each arena first, before being tasked to do their own (just so they know all the modes/weapons already being taken). Woop woop. Happy new year!
31:20 Genuine use of leafstone definitely qualifies you as a redstoner!! Edit: the mace battles with Etho were very fun to watch! Awesome job on the arena!
The ballroom is SO COOL!! It’s been fun watching it come together across streams, and seeing it all compiled in one catchy montage is incredibly satisfying-not to mention how adorable the little progress bar Pearlo is! Absolutely gorgeous design, all of the little details like the intricacies of the railing or how the bubble elevators are framed like grand stairwells come together in one unique, elegant build. The way the redstone is hidden in plain sight is clever and the reveal as the music kicks up is so much fun. The fights are thrilling the whole way through, and I’d gladly watch a multi-hour video of just them. The music adds such a neat vibe to them, and between the game mechanics and arena designs there are so many spectacular moments I wish I had the ability to animate, such as Pearl hanging off the chandelier and teasing Etho down below, or any sort of waltzing imagery throughout the fight. Really wonderful episode throughout, and the ballroom has become my new favorite build in the entire base
ive been looking forward to this video ever since you started the redstone on the ballroom arena during the streams! the idea of the pvp arena being hidden in plain sight is super cool and witnessing the whole sequence of the arena opening up is just plain mesmerizing. the music you chose to play during battles is absolutely perfect, the ones you chose sound like you are about to encounter a boss battle - which sets the atmosphere really well. the whole 'dance of death' concept is really inspiring - especially to a fanartist (ME!), i've come up with so much drawing ideas about this ballroom! this is one of my most favorite episodes of hermitcraft so far, i can't wait to see the rest of the club trying out your arena!!!
I cannot tell you how happy I am to see you are on the path of the GOAT; an hour long episode, and redstone becoming more and more integrated into your builds. I can totally understand your mind being preoccupied and skipping small details like who you invited to the club that shall not be mentioned
8:22 The chefs holding the burger up top are really cool. you should have another pair of armor stands inside of those, so that you can make the headless chefs be hermits instead! perhaps whoever the best score holders are should have the honor to be the chefs on top of the entrance!
You could use hay bales on the tops of the platforms and under any carpeted areas so that landing on them after a large launch doesn't cause fall damage. Also, I think a good strategy would be to use some of the wind charges on your opponent(s) in order to throw off their movement and timing so you have a better chance of positioning for a hit.
I love the Arena so much way better than I could've ever imagined I love the hidden slime platforms and the music turning on when the Arena is activated and the Armor Stand dancers being used for the Wind burst is clever it's amazing Really excited to see what Etho will do with his Fishing Arena
Honestly the best New Years Present for Tango would be to drag new players into Hungry Hermits. Tango's mentioned a few times on stream that he would love to see new players try his game. Grian and Joel are fan favorites, but Tango would be so happy for anyone
Idea: near the end of the season, if (like the start of each season) you can get all the hermits on at the same time for a while, you can have an entire hermit PVP in the arena. All of you running around killing each other would be so fun to watch and just chaos!! 😂
All of the arenas have been amazing so far, but I think this is my favorite. I love how it's hidden in plain sight. The transformation looks so cool and it's minimal, but effective.
Oh my gosh, Pearl! Your builds are so gorgeous! The colors, the shading, the incorporation of light, the visual balance, the architectural design -- just incredible! But even the way you do a time-lapse is a thing of beauty!
Incredible payoff to such a cool project, been an absolute pleasure to see the process over the last while of all the pieces of the ballroom coming together to make the arena come to life. Hidden in plain sight transformation complete with auto looping music, what more could you want from an arena, the midair combat aspect looks so satisfying!
The first rule of fight club is you don’t talk about fight club. The second rule of fight club is you do NOT. TALK. About fight club (I watched this right after seeing the movie lol)

The addition of music for the ballroom arena is SUCH a good thing. It adds so much. The moment you activated the arena, I was enthralled.
Yeah me too. Reminded me of this dance scene in the movie Anastasia, especially with that record.
You can also make it so it is always playing, and when you start the arena, it switches to a sort of battle music oposed to ball music
Ngl, when the battle arena is activated and creator music is playing, it feels like a boss battle arena.

I LOVE this arena. Actually I love all of the arenas. You guys are so creative. Can't wait to see what Etho does.
YEEESS!!! WE LOVE THE 50 MINUTE HERMITCRAFT EPIDOSDESSS
I love and adore the mini Pearl during the montage around 18:00. So genius and so funny.
I love this episode a lot, such a pleasure to watch you build, do redstone or whatever you up to Pearlo.
Much love and support from little me from Sweden ❤
Pearl is dancing all the montage time. From 17:27 to 19:18 and it's so adorable
@ Yeah, that's around 18:00
I have too much glare so I didn't notice it. That's a brilliant way to implement a progression bar.
@@Maya_Luna3progress indicator. I'm going to have to more carefully watch time-lapses and montages.
@@CorwinAlexander It really was
27:39 It is worth noting that slime blocks don't stick to Glazed Terracotta as well. A furnace doesn't stick to slime because it's an immovable block due to being a container, but Glazed Terracotta has the unique property of being movable, but not sticking to slime or honey
my god Pearl you sound like Mumbo talking about redstone! 😂😂
this is amazing, I love seeing you digging into redstone a little more every season!
what a role reversal with Mumbo become more of a builder now hahaha!
I’m so happy you did the waiting in plain sight thing I’ve been wanting someone to do that and you did it absolutely perfectly it’s insane
LOOKS LIKE THE HAMMER JUST FOUND A NAIL!
The little dancing Pearl at the bottom of the montage was so fun to watch; I had to go back to watch what you were doing IN the montage 😂
The fight clue is incredibly entertaining! Can’t wait to see every members playing it
I love seeing you flabbergasted from the gifts.
The ballroom is GENIUS and BEAUTIFUL! Genuinely the best connection of usage and looks, I almost want to make my own!
Oh, this is a lovely arena. Beautiful and functional. The redstone is also impressive. Good job! It's one of your best creations.
It is a JOY to finally see the ballroom in action all that hard really payed off!
The ballroom came out gorgeous!! And the tiny Pearl dancing across the screen for the montage was adorable :D
At this point, Tango 1000% qualifies as a full-on game designer, with the only plot twist being that he does all his coding and design assets in Minecraft!
The ballroom is AMAZING you are mixing redstone and aesthetics so well!!! You are a great inspiration
Genuinely one of the best Hermitcraft episodes ever made. So packed with variety and great moments. By 9 mins in I could tell this one was special. Very well done Pearl.
Something that I've learned about Pearl's builds is the way they have bands of colour horizontally travelling the build!!
18:38 The little Pearl dancing at the bottom! Oh my gosh, it’s adorable
Extremely better and much more suitable exterior for Tango's game. Love it!
You should add a sound of skizz saying "LET'S DANCE" when the fight starts
The arena turned out amazing!! Creator is my favorite disc and it fits the vibe so well, it makes me imagine y'all fighting and jumping to the beat
As for the new member, i really wasn't expecting them but they're such a good addition, I can't wait to see their arena!
Love the "Brawl" room. It's so pretty!
Really nifty arena, hidden in the ballroom until activated and good choice of weapon.
Oh my gosh the arena transformation and the armor stand dual functionality is so cool!
I love the tiny dancing pearl!! 😁 17:48
ive been looking forward to this video ever since you started the redstone on the ballroom arena during the streams! the idea of the pvp arena being hidden in plain sight is super cool and witnessing the whole sequence of the arena opening up is just plain mesmerizing. the music you chose to play during battles is absolutely perfect, the ones you chose sound like you are about to encounter a boss battle - which sets the atmosphere really well. the whole 'dance of death' concept is really inspiring - especially to a fanartist (ME!), i've come up with so much drawing ideas about this ballroom! this is one of my most favorite episodes of hermitcraft so far, i can't wait to see the rest of the club trying out your arena!!!
happy 100th hermitcraft eisode pearl ! (ik it's actually 105 videos but 5 of them were decked out and not marked as episodes)
the little pearl playermodel dancing during the timelapse was an adorable little detail!
great job on another amazing video ^.^
I cannot tell you how happy I am to see you are on the path of the GOAT; an hour long episode, and redstone becoming more and more integrated into your builds. I can totally understand your mind being preoccupied and skipping small details like who you invited to the club that shall not be mentioned
8:22 The chefs holding the burger up top are really cool. you should have another pair of armor stands inside of those, so that you can make the headless chefs be hermits instead! perhaps whoever the best score holders are should have the honor to be the chefs on top of the entrance!
That is the best reaction to a Christmas gift ever.
I love the Arena so much way better than I could've ever imagined I love the hidden slime platforms and the music turning on when the Arena is activated and the Armor Stand dancers being used for the Wind burst is clever it's amazing
Really excited to see what Etho will do with his Fishing Arena
Honestly the best New Years Present for Tango would be to drag new players into Hungry Hermits. Tango's mentioned a few times on stream that he would love to see new players try his game. Grian and Joel are fan favorites, but Tango would be so happy for anyone
Idea: near the end of the season, if (like the start of each season) you can get all the hermits on at the same time for a while, you can have an entire hermit PVP in the arena. All of you running around killing each other would be so fun to watch and just chaos!! 😂
xb with the "i don't know what to get you so i got you the store" vibes haha
19:06 little pearlo on the bottom right !! Doing a little boogie!! :D
I don't think you hear it enough so... You're a genius Pearl.
Sick in bed watching a new Pearl video saying things like "yippie" and "wahoo". Many such cases.
All of the arenas have been amazing so far, but I think this is my favorite. I love how it's hidden in plain sight. The transformation looks so cool and it's minimal, but effective.
The mace fights are very enjoyable to watch! Great job on the arena, it really adds a lot of fun possibilities to the fight :)
8:50 please add more armor stand there, it looks so sad sitting alone with a cake, like it's celebrating the birthday alone TT
The 1 thing missing from these fight club videos, is the rest of the fight club. It would be so chaotic with all of you fighting free for all style
Oh my Lordy-loo this is amazing... 100th episode since Season 8!!
The first rule of fight club is you don’t talk about fight club. The second rule of fight club is you do NOT. TALK. About fight club (I watched this right after seeing the movie lol)
I love how your arena turned out! fact that you can jump onto the balcony and the chandeliers with enough skill works out amazingly
18:00 OMG TINY PEARL! I thought I was going crazy for a couple of seconds. 😂😂
The Etho vs Pearl duel was sooo much fun to watch I can’t wait for more
Maybe you could get Tango some frog lights, copper, deep slate, and dyes/plants from your store, and of course some pickles~
