a stanley seems like such a waste of money.
for starters, there were more cons than pros. and it’s extremely uncomfortable to carry around 24/7 because it doesn’t fit in water bottle pockets. plus, they are also highly overpriced. The tops are always open/accessible too, making it easy for bugs to fly in (this has happened to me with cups with a lid and straw hole) or roofies. also LEAKING? very much an issue. this girl in front of me on the bus had a stanley. it was sideways on the seat. water leaked from it, through the crevices of the seat, and onto my shoes.

I absolutely love my Stanley so if you’re thinking abt getting one here’s my guide!
    pros:
it’s so cute (imo) and motivates me to drink water. trust me, if you get one your water intake will be off the charts.
it’s actually not that heavy, and it’s super easy to carry so your hand won’t get tired.
it can fit in car cup holders (in the front seat) which if super helpful if you’re traveling or driving a lot.
your drink will be cold for a long time! It stays iced for abt 2 whole days until it starts to melt.
I haven’t got any dents in any of my Stanley’s yet, but I take really good care of them so that could just be me.
cons: my biggest one is the spilling, you can buy things online to help stop the spilling (guard for the top, straw cover, etc.) but I just keep mine basic.
it’s kind of bulky if you’re looking to carry it in a backpack or a bag. it won’t fit in the water bottle holder for a backpack (because it’s too wide & the handle) but like I mentioned before they’re not too hard to carry.
I would reccomend it to you if:
you’re a student. this is literally perfect for you because it will keep you hydrated all day and you can keep it in your locker/dorm when you don’t feel like you need it or have too much to carry.
you work an office job. like the school, it’s probably perfect for you because you’re not going to be doing much manual labor during that job. you can also keep it on your desk when you have too much to carry.
if you wanna use it for a nighttime cup or around home. this is an absolute perfect fit because, like I said, it will keep you hydrated wherever you go.
    I wouldn’t recommend if you:
plan to do outdoor or athletic activities with it all the time. it’s not really a super mobile or tough cup, so I would go either a Stanley that’s sealed at the top.
hope this helps! don’t let my opinion deter you from getting one if you really want it! do what makes you happy! 🩷
