Is there a reason you destructure an array literal containing a widget every time you add one to an array? Why don't you just put them in directly? Examples: 8:24, 10:04

It's not about Dart. Think of binary in the same way as decimal: if you have 2130, how do u get 21? You do 2130* 10^ -3, so if you think about it: - shift left means to divide by 10 = multiply by 10^-(x number of positions you want to shift right) - shift right means to multiply by 10^(x number of position you want to shift left) So in binary it is the same concept, except it is not in magnitudes of 10 (decimal), we work in base 2 so instead of *10 ... it's *2^(same as before). Hope this helps

2^8 bits is an octet; octet != byte; 2^8 bits == 32 bytes
That wasn't intended as "2^8 bits", but rather the number of unique values or permutations in a byte.
