This is a nightmare for teams in any era you can think of. Nobody has seen this before, even most fans today haven't. You can't quite describe it to people either. They have to watch it with their own eyes. A guy the size of Karl Malone that runs as fast as Allen Iverson, and can dribble and finish with either hand, in addition to having a deadly 3-point shot and passing ability. Malone didn't have any of this, man.

What’s true about any sport is the sport catches up to your level or in general the game evolves. James just seems to be a level above anyone here. But in the 2010s, there were multiple players who came in with unique skill sets to give him problems. But this guy is top 5 all time.
