Lots of Love, Georgie xxx
Well done for sharing this and important message for everyone 👏 xxx
I love how you tell this story. It made it even more dramatic, haha! But it shows that a slip up seeming so big in the moment can be an extremely memorable experience in retrospect.
This is hilarious! I was recently in a musical with my youth theatre company. At one point I had to run onstage to stop some bullies. Little did I know there was bike on stage and as soon as I walk onstage, I Trip over the bike.
“Look up, and still on stage” 😂😂😂 aww brilliant but atleast you can laugh it off. I love these types of videos you should really do more, your so down to earth 💕
I’ve danced at the London Palladium and backstage its is huge you can quite easily get lost. With my dance school we’ve also danced at theatres like O2 arena and theatre royal
Haha love it! More story times! I was in Oklahoma and at the end of Farmer and Cowman, we had this lift where I was supposed to end up sitting on my partner’s shoulders. We did a little prep jump before the big jump to get up to his shoulders, and he was accidentally standing on my floor length skirt, so when we did the prep jump, my skirt came down to my knees! My partner had no idea, so tried to continue with the big lift, but I just stiffened my body to stay on the ground, otherwise my skirt would have completely come off 😂 I spent the rest of the scene trying to be smooth about getting it pulled back up...
Can’t believe you’re gonna be in Oklahoma!!! I love Amara and Hyoie as well so the fact that you’re joining the cast with them makes me so happy! I’m also going to the university of Chichester in September to study Theatre so might have to come and watch (also gives me another chance to look around) x
Also I had my final performance today in my A-Level Theatre course and it went brilliant! So happy!
The joys of live theatre.
Yep! Haha
OMG it's Oklahoma... i am so happy for you Georgie💞 You are going to do great. It's going to be Amazing🌻🎭
I love Georgie. I find these videos so helpful because I want to be on the west end in the future 💖💖
Lozeebo x same maybe one day we could be working together x
This video made me laugh so much! Thank you for sharing Georgie! xx
So I've been a subscriber for a few years, and I recently got cast as Bebe in a chorus line. I've been getting myself hyped by watching musical theatre videos, including your old ones and I had no clue you were in a chorus line, let alone understudying the part I'm playing! You've had such an amazing career so far and have been in so many cool shows. Are there anymore anything goes vlogs?
"I looked up and...I was still on the stage" lmao! you poor thing! This is an amazing "embarrassing moment" story to share with people whenever they make mistakes or have an embarrassing moment. Like look, if I can get out of that and live to tell the tale :p what an incredible story, loved the way you told it!
Haha thank you so much!
Also I’m a dancer like I said in my other comment and I was dancing at the royal Albert hall in 2016 and my shoe lace was undone but I was already on stage and I could do nothing about it and I eventually got through most of the 4 minute ish dance and I thought oh this is ok but then it came to my aerial and of course I was in the middle of the stage, centre of attention and my shoe flew off into what would usually be the orchestra pit and Oh My Word I was so embarrassed 😂😂
I love that you tried to do a backwards roll off 😂 there’s a lot of embarrassing things that have happened to me on-stage but I have the plus of it not being on a west end stage hahah !! I was singing the opening number in our end of year showcase, and the music started WITHOUT ME ON STAGE. I was in the toilet and we hadn’t had a 5 minute call 😭 I had to run on stage without my shoes on to get to my mark and start singing on time, never had so much adrenaline in my life lol
I proper giggled at this😂 it’s just the way you casually tell it and honestly I can’t cope😂👏🏼
I love your videos!! Never fail to make me happy 😊 x
I was playing Louis in the king and I and I was leading the children onstage and I fell down the stairs, all I could hear was my Dad and sister and the audience laughing. It. Was. Mortifying.
Oh no 😂 haha I feel your pain!
Please do more of these videos
Okay so here’s a story! I was playing lumiere in my high school last year and our stage has like a lower level so it’s the main stage and stairs to the lower stage. I was on the top stage ready to enter after my cue line and i went straight to the lower stage. Well, i completely stepped over the little stairs that we have and fell right on my butt! It was the second show and everyone just gasped. I got right back up and continued the show! The person playing cogsworth literally could not hold himself together. The audience began to laugh once he did too. right after that scene is be our guest and it was 100% my best performance. I broke my expensive character heels when i fell :( However, i kept going and pushed forward! I will NEVER forget this haha
I had nearly the same thing happen to me. I was playing the lead in HMS Pinafore at the Edinburgh Fringe last year and during the overture we did some movement and I was to come on reading a book, looking longingly out to sea and then walk off, bumping into my love interest and then run off stage. It was the second day of our run and everything went really smoothly until the guy playing my love interest didn’t have his shoe lace properly tied and I tripped falling flat on my face - You know it’s bad when you get a gasp from the audience. As we were in Victorian costume, my shoe got stuck in my dress so I couldn’t get up and everyone was just staring at me on stage. So I had to crawl off into the wings!
It was so embarrassing but the worst part was trying to come back on stage for my first song without laughing because it was quite a serious song.
Anyway - totally related to your story today!! Thanks for another great video Georgie!
Not to scare you, but A Chorus Line was on in 2013, not 2016! Scary stuff! I had the pleasure of seeing it a *few* times (cough13cough) and you were always fab, as was the whole cast!
i need more of these videos!😂😘
the backwards roll hahahahahah
Wow you got to perform same stage as Judy😭. I’m so sorry this happened to you!
Please could you do a video on your jobs so far xx
Here goes my embarrassing stage story: So, it was around winter and we were doing a Christmas song medley. Our director had the wonderful idea of having fake snow (The kind you add water to) be dropped down onto the stage from the catwalk while we were holding our last chord (nicely at the end of the song, so no one would slip during the number). However, the tech crew had some sort of misunderstanding and dropped it as soon as we started our song/dance onstage. We still had a good 7 minutes of performing. So fast forward to the 3rd song in the medley (Rudolph) and I'm playing Prancer the reindeer. Everyone who was a reindeer had to come downstage center and do a pose. So it comes to my turn (bear in mind the snow) and I go to jump into it, ya know, prancing, and I do a full slip and swan dive and fall on my butt during my ONE MOMENT. I then proceeded to tuck and roll trying to get back up..... moral of the story is do not EVER use fake snow on stage.
OH NOOOOOOOO 😂 that seems sooooo embarrassing but it’s a really good story!!!!
Haha it really was! But very funny to look back on!
When will we find out what show you are doing next 💕💓
