Also I plan on building one to the Kelvin time line and building the other to look more like a TOS Starship by making some modifications to it.
Hello, I just watched the unboxing video, and I enjoyed it... Thanks! I picked up one of these kits recently and wanted to check out some build videos before starting mine. I looked through all of your videos and did not see any more on the Kelvin. Did you ever get back to this kit, or did I miss something? Anyway, thanks for all of your content. Take care....
I'd say you should definately go the route of lighting it. It's seems to be a real challenge, yes, but I think this might be the fun and appeal of that kit: to make the impossible possible. And I think drilling long tunnels for fiberoptic in the saucer might be feasible. And additionally, it looks great on display next to the Discoprise.
Looking forward to the build. I am building my first AMT Startrek kit. I am appalled by the fit and the decals! I am curious to see if this kit is better than the amt kits.
One of the first thing I noticed in the movie about this ship was that the hangar bay was up top but the live action showed the Captain coming down in the turbolift instead of coming upward when preparing to leave the ship in the shuttle.- Glaring continuity error!!!

I’m just finishing my build of this kit. It was not easy to light at all, but you can cram a bunch of lights in there if you try. 😂

Not a big fan of this ship but I did purchase one. I've looked at the parts quite a few times and never noticed the oddity of the top saucer.

Nice kit, the only thing I changed is I glued the edges of the saucer on top part instead of the lower, fitted much better. It's also a BIG ship.
Were there more videos from this build? I can not find those.
