YOUR votes are in. The Grand prize winner of the #FuturGOTChallenge is... Kento Yoshida! This guy showed up to every challenge with multiple entries that were always solid. Congrats for taking the lead with 15 total points from all 3 rounds. Also, shout out to the runner ups, it was a very close race: Lillian Figeroa, Newton Llorente, Jason Tucker, and Kendra Willford. Thank you, everyone, who participated and grew from the experience. What kind of challenge should we do next?
Thanks for the opportunity to have our work showcased in your channel. It's great to have made it to the top 5. I've been watching you guys since you held the Spartan Race logo design challenge and I still keep on learning new stuff. Great critiques as always!
Thanks for the opportunity! This old man was happy to get critiqued and I will use the suggestions to improve my word marks and step my game up for that final challenge!
I have to say it was so much fun to see how much fun you guys had during this stream and with all the memes!! :D Also very interesting Input and by the end I started to try to find the problems of the wordmarks before Chris would point them out.
Round 2 Voting for the top 5 is now open! futur.shortstack.com/SGbwtk You get to select who wins this round and takes home the most points. Thank you, everyone, who submitted this round. There was plenty of amazing work this time around. Stay tuned for an announcement of the winners and the for the last design challenge. It's going to be a good one.
Thanks so much again for the critique. I'm about to sit down and edit my BOLTON word mark. It was such a pleasure to receive feedback. Can't wait to get started on the poster for the next challenge!
I wasn't prepared to have my works featured in the show, I also thought only people who entered first round can process to the second round. It is such a privilege to get critiqued, I have definitely gone out from my comfort zone for this. Excited for the future challenge and get feedback from you guys.
I like the fact that my last name is associated with one of my favorite bands of all times. The highlight of my day. Thanks! I went for a mix of Celtic and Uncial Scripts mainly because it was used a lot in early medieval times. I struggled with the spacing on the wordmark. I spend around an hour agonizing over the kerning.
Another wonderful video with so much valuable information and insights into typography. It's good to see Matthew on a stream again, I love his input. Strange not to see the other guys this time and I'd love to see Mr. Ben Burns in a video again too. ;) Thanks a lot for these videos! Adding all these memes and voice snippets is a nice take, however the quality of the voice takes took me a bit of time getting used to, as a non native English speaker.
Great entries. The Targaryen one was really nice. Yeah, I don't think I can compete with all these other talented people. Sitting out challenge 3. Good luck on the ultimate winner.

I've recommended your channel to every designer in my team.
@@MatthewEncina For anyone who's a beginner in design or does not have that much experience, your channel is like a holy grail.

It's not about winning, but developing your skills. Hope to see you participate regardless =)
Please do another challenge! Early 2020? 🙏
Huge fan of the page and content. Where can I find out about future contests and design challenges?
kinda wondering how to do that subtle typeface effect (woodcut, etc)
Oh I thought only the top 50 could participate in part 2!
Anyone can participate at any time.
every night i draw stuff while listening to the future lol i like this channel better then the real one :D
I wanna participate next challenge
what typeface was thegreyjoy one with the tentacles ? It looked to good
Yeah the first one, looks gorgeous
the level of anxiety i had when no one was saying tht tht greyjoy looked from stone age lmao
Surprised nobody used the tentacles as a way to write the "J"
I Miss again Will next time lol her it work hacer And thougter. And Being honest pen for lettering is trickier than when I do my illustrations.
Please keep the mysterious voice and the memes
Memes 🔥😂
The Martel logo made no sense. I imagine "unbent" as straight lines that do not bend. This was the opposite of what it was supposed to convey.
Thank you for the feedback
