- This tone poem or listening tune (lydarslått) by Sjur Helgeland includes the false harmonics at the end, added by Lars Skjervheim. This version is missing one of the dances that I originally learned and I will have to make a new version at some point!
Budeiene på Vikafjell = Dairy girls on Vika Mountain

I often think that the Hardanger fele is made for playing across water.
Sounds that are played for the girl ...on the other side of the fjord.... who you met at the wedding last year and fell in love with. Who listens and can't escape hearing your beautiful playing, and knowing it's meant for only her.
And who knows that you will meet again at the baptism, in the spring...and maybe wonders if one day she might be persuaded to have your house-keys hanging from her silver bunad belt.
I'm in love with the way the understrings ring in harmonic, it gives such a beautifully echoey, almost eerie tone to the notes that I adore 😍😍😍😍
Yes, I love it too!
Magical!
This is beautiful!!
I like the cow sound
Super!!!
Lovely tune! When will you release an album?
so beautiful, are you able to share the sheetmusic and tuning? I don't have a hardanger fiddle but would love to try it out on modern violin :>
Awesome to see another vid of yours btw!
Unfortunately I don't have any sheet music. Traditionally, the Hardanger fiddle is taught by rote. You can try playing it on your modern violin and either tuning your G string up to an A, or play alternate fingerings. Worth a shot!
Your song is beautiful miss rachel
